DANIEL SHANE SHIVERS, 25, of Memphis, died Tuesday at the Regional Medical Center at Memphis after being shot several times outside 1526 Patton. N. J. Ford & Sons Funeral Home has charge. He leaves a son, Daniel Bowdery; a stepdaughter, Tia Bowdery; a stepson, Lorenzo Bowdery; his parents, Patsy Johnson and Eugene Johnson, and two sisters, Tracey Beam and Evelyn Beam, all of Memphis; four brothers, Brian Holmes, Carlos Beam and Steven Johnson, all of Memphis, and James Bently of Tupelo, Miss., and a companion with whom he lived, Catrina Bowdery.

JOHN F. SWATEK, 74, of Cordova, retired pilot for the Air Force and FedEx, died Wednesday at Cordova Rehab & Nursing Center. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Memory Hill Gardens. Memphis Funeral Home Germantown Parkway Chapel has charge. He was a World War II, Korean War and Vietnam War veteran. Mr. Swatek, the husband of Frances Swatek, also leaves a daughter, Karen A. Swatek of Gallaway, Tenn.; three sons, Robert Swatek of Topeka, Kan., Michael Swatek of Horn Lake and John M. Swatek of Hilo, Hawaii, and four grandchildren.
