SHE HAD RESIDED AT JAMESTOWNE ASSISTED LIVING AND FARMINGTON TRAIL IN KINGSTON BEFORE HER ILLNESS. GENEVIEVE WAS BORN MAY 5, 1911 IN SEDALIA, MISSOURI TO DANIEL BARTON ROBISON AND EDNA BARR ROBISON. SHE WAS THE WIDOW OF FEDERAL MAGISTRATE SIZER CHAMBLISS OF CHATTANOOGA AND LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN, TENNESSEE. FOR OVER 25 YEARS GENEIVEVE SERVED AS THE CLERK OF THE FEDERAL BANKRUPTCY COURT IN CHATTANOOGA. SHE WAS A FAITHFUL MEMBER OF THE WEST HILLS PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH OF HARRIMAN. SERVING IN SEVERAL CAPACITIES ON MISSIONS BOARDS. SPREADING THE WORD OF JESUS CHRIST IN FOREIGN LANDS WAS AN ON GOING PROJECT IN ALL HER ADULT LIFE. AN ACCOMPLISHED PAINTER AND PORTRAITIST, HER WORK WAS FEATURED IN SEVERAL ART SHOWS AND IS HUNG IN HOMES ACROSS THE COUNTRY. SHE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HER PARENTS, HER HUSBAND AND HER SISTERS AND BROTHERS IN LAW, GRACE R. SCOFIELD (ROBERT) AND ANNABELLE R. STORTO (ED). J Boyd Peck, age 81, of Philadelphia, passed away on Tuesday, January 14, 2003, at U.T. Medical Center in Knoxville after a lengthy illness. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Sweetwater. Mr. Peck was a retired educator and farmer. Preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Artel and Sephie Lou Crozier Peck; brother, Fred Peck; sisters, Lucille Hill, Dorothy McCalister, Mildred Galyon. Survivors include: wife of 50 years, Naomi Jones Peck of Philadelphia; daughters, Mary Peck Turner of Athens; Amy Peck of Cookeville; sisters, Irene Perry of Foley, AL, Henrietta Wintenberg of Oak Ridge; grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Estelle (Gallihar) Burnette, age 77, of Philadelphia, went to be with her Lord at her home on Saturday, January 18, 2003. She was preceded in death by her parents, James L. and Geneva Gossett Gallihar and a number of brothers and sisters. She grew up in the Big Sandy and Cedar Fork Community. She was a courageous woman, battling her illness since 1988. She loved her family and church and would attend services taking her oxygen with her, and was an example to many. Survivors include: her husband of 56 years, Elmer; children, Marvin and Sandi, Tommy and Kay, Louise and John Barnes, Sue and Steve Clark, Darrell and Rhonda, Dennis and Beth, Rankin and Jennifer, and Vanessa and Anthony Garner; 19 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; sister, Ruby Raby; several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at Cedar Fork Baptist Church, her church for over 50 years on Tuesday, January 21, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Clayton Dunsmore and Rev. Jerre Guthrie officiating. Interment to follow in the church cemetery. SHE WAS A PAST WORTHY GRAND MATRON OF THE EASTERN STAR FOR THE STATE OF TENNESSEE & A MEMBER OF THE LAUREL CHAPTER. SHE VOLUNTEERED AT HARRIMAN CITY HOSPITAL AS A PINK LADY.
