Bonnie Ann Myers, 57, of Meridan, Miss., died Thursday, August 15, 2002 at her residence.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Stephens Funeral Home. Burial will be in Stewart Family Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors at 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Survivors include a son, Johnny Stewart and wife, Sherry, of Meridan, Miss.; her mother, Mable Hutchinson of Dresden; three sisters, Jean Doughter of Dresden and Bonnie Brown and Tammy Thompson, both of Martin; two grandsons, Steven Stewart and Johnny Stewart, both of Meridan, Miss.; a step granddaughter, Heather Anders of Meridan, Miss.; former husband, John Stewart of Meridan, Miss.

Pallbearers will be Joey Miller, Carl McDonald Jr., William McDonald, Eddie Hyde, Frank Hyde Jr., Jessie Keaton, Roger Keaton and Roy Stewart.

Carol Houston, 67, of Ridgely, died Thursday, August 15, 2002 at Ridgely Care & Rehab Center. She was a bookkeeper.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Ridgely Church of Christ with Brother Jeff O'Dell officiating. Burial will be in New Haven Cemetery in Ridgely.

The family will receive visitors at 5-8 p.m. today at the Ridgely chapel of J.W. Curry & Son Funeral Home.

The widow of Jimmy Houston, survivors include her stepmother, Thelma W. Pigue of Memphis; a sister, Belinda R. Chandler of Southhaven, Miss.; a brother, Charles P. Pigue of Memphis; and two grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Trent Patterson, Kent Patterson, James Daniel Hensley, Jim Chandler, Wilkes Moore, Marcus Eugene Pope, Randall Park and Curtis Park.

Leora Brown, 79, of Dyersburg, formerly of Toledo, Ohio, died Tuesday, August 13, 2002 at Wesley at Dyersburg.
She was a homemaker.

A private service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, August 17 in the chapel of H.H. Hudson Funeral Home in Dyersburg.

Survivors include her husband, Freddie Brown of Dyersburg; and a son, Dennis Brown of Toledo, Ohio.

Jerry Wayne Bearden, 64, of Ridgely, died Wednesday, August 14, 2002 at Ridgely Nursing Care and Rehab Center.
He was a occupational therapist.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Survivors include two daughters, Charlotte Spurr of Knoxville and Sheila Bearden of North Richland Hills, Texas; a sister, Marrion Markham of Dyersburg; and a grandchild.

Logan Andrew Alexander, infant son of Paul Anthony "Andy" and Carla Dishman Alexander of Spartanburg, S.C, died Thursday, August 8, 2002 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.
Services were held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Lanford Funeral Home in Woodruff, S.C. with the Rev. Allen Durham and the Rev. John Hazeres officiating. Burial was in Heritage Memorial Gardens.

In addition to his parents, survivors include three brothers, Caleb Raphe Alexander, Joshuah Parker Alexander and Landon McKenzie Alexander, all of Spartanburg, S.C.; his grandparents, Vernon and Virginia Alexander of Union City and Larry and Amanda Dishman of Huntingdon; and his great-grandparents, Hubert and Hazel Alexander of Dyersburg.

She was a retired employee of Tupperware and a homemaker and a member of South Fork Baptist Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher for over 40 years.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at South Fork Baptist Church near Halls. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Halls Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

The widow of William  Johnson Young, survivors include three daughters, Ellen Durham of Southhaven, Miss., Betty Young of Friendship and Gynger Corlew of Halls; two sisters, Evie Smith of Stanton and Laura Campbell of Brownsville; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Friendship Funeral Home with Jeff Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Bowen's Chapel Cemetery. Survivors include a daughter, Peggy Smith of Friendship; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Smith, Donnie Smith, Jerry Branch, Scott smith, Michael Smith, Daniel Smith and Clayton Smith.

Phillips, survivors include two daughters, Gwen Collins and Kaye Sullivan, both of Huntingdon; a sister, Sue Limuska of Jackson; and two brothers, Eugene Bivens and Elmer Bivens, both of Friendship.

Services were at 3 p.m. Saturday at Elizabeth United Methodist Church with the Rev. Frank Gardner officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Friendship Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include his wife, Charlene Young of Friendship; a son, Clyde Young and wife, Janice of Friendship; two brothers, Porter Young and Guy Young, both of Friendship; and a grandson, Adam Young of Friendship.

Pallbearers will be Steve Rice, Gary Young, Johnny Cherry, Mike Harber, Larry Leonard and Mike Ferrell.

Graveside services will be at 9 a.m. Monday in Dyersburg City Cemetery with Brother Paul Helton officiating. J.W. Curry and Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include two daughters, Esther Ann  Taylor of Dyersburg and Mary Fincher of Memphis; four sons, Robert Fincher, Tommy Fincher Sr., Cecil Ward and Thomas Ward, all of Dyersburg; four sisters, Willow Fincher of Millington, Lucy Houge of Dyersburg, and Rebecca Fincher and Mary Wilson, both of Newbern; and 10 grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Daniel Wilson, Donald Wilson, Kenneth Wilson, Stanley Ward, Monroe Murphy, William  Johnson and Johnny Seager.

Lawrence Macklin 'Larry Mack' Boals

Lawrence Macklin 'Larry Mack' Boals, 55, of Finley, died Friday, Aug. 16, 2002 at Methodist Healthcare-Dyersburg Hospital.
He was an advertising sales representative for CRR Cash Register, a communicant of Holy Angels Catholic Church, served in the Tennessee National Guard, was past president and a board member of the Dyer County Fair Association, and was active in the Dyer County Barbecue Contest and Dogwood Festival.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Holy Angels Catholic Church with Father Elbert Callis and Father Joel Schultz officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors from 4:30 to 9 p.m. today at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include his wife, Kathryn Holmes Boals; a daughter, Jennifer Boals Cozort of Dyersburg; two sons, Patrick Alan Boals and Spencer Holmes Boals, both of Finley; his mother, Laura Boals of Dyersburg; a sister, Diane Boals Moody of Dyersburg; and two grandchildren, Tucker Cozort and Kyle Cozort.

Pallbearers will be Eddie Anderson, Marty Moody, Eddie Burks, Allen Williams, David Seaton, Mark Williams and Steve Camp. Honorary pallbearers will be Paul Finley, Jackie Cook, Butch Pritchett and Pete Hinkel.

She was a secretary with Lifesafe Security Corp. and member of the Moose Lodge Ladies Auxiliary. Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday in the chapel of J.W. Curry and Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Randy Jetton officiating. Burial will be in Zion Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Survivors include four daughters, Pamela Dotson of Torup, Sweden, Teresa Hickman of Alamo, Melissa Frank of Dyersburg and Eva Brasher of Hernando, Miss.; a son, Mike Smith of Tiptonville; her mother, Varina Burns of Dyersburg; four brothers, Gerald Wooley of Ranger, Texas, Danny Wooley of Gladewater, Texas, Timmy Wooley of Burleson, Texas, and Bobby Wooley of Lewisville, Texas; and six grandchildren, Jonathan Smith, Kristen Frank, Robert Frank, Mallory Frank, Eryn Tucker and Kyle Tucker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Smith, and her father, Daniel Wooley.

Pallbearers will be Tim Smith, Kevin Sanders, Bart Sanders and David Smith.

Survivors include her husband, Freeman Phenix; five daughters, Dora Dean McDonald and Mary Lou Hendrix, both of Dyersburg, Debbie Loraine Gilliland of Newbern, Linda Tucker of Ripley and Kay Phenix Crandall of Obion; three sons, Alonzo Lane Battles III of Dyersburg, Danny Battles of Martin and Tommy Battles Moore of Hohenwald; two sisters, Mary Ruth Mitchum of Ripley and Sinnie L. Pugh of Greenfield; a brother, Thomas Brown of Ripley; 23 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Grace Curlee Croskery.
