Services will be at 3 p.m. today at Cottonwood Baptist Church in Ridgley with the Rev. Jonathan Lail officiating. Burial will be in New Haven Cemetery in Ridgely. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Annette Lynn Howard, 45, of Henderson, died Thursday, Sept. 19, 2002 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
Services will be at 12 p.m. Tuesday at Oak Grove Church of Christ in Henson. Cosmopolitan Funeral Services is in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive visitors at 6-8 p.m. today at the church.

John B. Moody III, 66, of Dyersburg, died Saturday, Sept. 21, 2002 at Baptist Hospital-East in Memphis.
He was retired employee of Tupperware.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel of  Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Parks officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Newbern.

The family will receive visitors at 5:30-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Lester Gruggett, 88, of Finley, died Saturday, Sept. 21, 2002 at Dyersburg Manor Nursing Care.
He was a retired employee of Dyersburg Fabrics Inc.

Graveside services were at 11 a.m. today in Fairview Cemetery with the Rev. Doug Ellingsworth officiating. J. W. Curry & Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

He was a retired construction contractor and a member of Enon Baptist Church.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at First United Methodist Church in Tiptonville, where she was a member, with the Rev. Alvin R. Gunter officiating. Burial will be in Tiptonville City Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at 1 p.m. Monday at the church. White Ranson Funeral Home in Union City is in charge of arrangements.

The Rev. L.C. "Buddy" Grizzle, 78, of Dyersburg, died Friday, Sept. 20, 2002, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
He was a retired minister after 52 years, a member of the Troy Church of God and a World War II Army Air Corps veteran. He had pastored in Oregon, Florida and Tennessee.

Services will be at 3 p.m. today in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Calvin Smith and the Rev. Clayton Privett officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

She was a retired cook for Lake County School System, former cook at Cates Landing School, Phillipy School and Lake County Grammar School, housekeeper for Mr. and Mrs. Glendon Hyde for over 25 years and attended First Baptist Church in Tiptonville.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church in Tiptonville with the Rev. Andy Martin officiating. Burial will be in City Cemetery in Tiptonville.

The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. today at the Tiptonville Chapel of J.W. Curry & Son Funeral Home.

He was a retired employee of Whirpool in Evansville, Ind. and Colonial Rubber of Dyersburg and was employed with Wal-Mart, a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, charter member of Morningside Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Evansville, Ind., member of Hadi Shrine Temple in Evansville, RoEllen Church of Christ, Scottish Rite and Lessing Masonic Lodge in Evansville.

Services were at 11 a.m. today in the chapel of  Johnson Funeral Home with Brother John Evans officiating. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery in Newbern.

He was a retired dyeing supervisor for Dyersburg Fabrics, a member of Cumberland Presbyterian Church, a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, and a 12-year Red Coat volunteer for Methodist Hospital.

Services will be at 4 p.m. Friday at Cumberland Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Dr. Larry Blackburn officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg.

The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. today at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

L.M. Austin, 91, of Newbern, died Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2002 at Baptist Hospital in Union City.
He was a retired farmer, a member of Center United Methodist Church since 1922, director of Security Bank since 1966, a member of Soil Conservation Board for 20 years and served on ASCS Board for 25 years.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of  Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. Dan Tilley, Rev. John Lee and Rev. Harold Stricker officiating. Burial will be in Poplar Grove Cemetery in Newbern.

The family will receive visitors at 6-9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Survivors include two daughters, Joyce Ann Carpenter and husband, Glen, of Newbern and Jo Evelyn Mehr and husband, Mendell of Brentwood; two sons, Gene Austin and wife, Carolyn, of Dyersburg and Bobby Austin and wife, Betty, of Eddyville, Ky.; a sister, Tommy Ragsdale of Memphis; a brother, Wade Austin of Newbern; eight grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
