Charlie E. "Bill" Radford, 85, of Trimble died at Baptist Hospital in Union City on Friday, Oct. 18, 2002. He was a retired plant manager for Trimble Manufacturing, having worked there for 35 years. He was the son of the late Charles G. and Lalla McDavid Radford and was married to Pauline Park Radford, also deceased. He was a member of the Trimble First Baptist Church and a charter member of both the Trimble Lion's Club and the 89ers. Services were Sunday at Trimble First Baptist Church. Burial followed at Fairview Cemetery in Newbern. Johnson Funeral Home of Newbern was in charge of arrangements.

The widow of J.C. Mitchell and William Thompson, survivors include two daughters, Dorothy Pace of Finley and Anita Lumley of Dyersburg; a son, J.D. Thompson of Dyersburg; and nine grandchildren.
