Joe Bob Lemonds, 87, of Ridgely, died Saturday, Dec. 14, 2002 at Ridgely Care and Rehabilitation Center.
He was a retired electrician and a member of Ridgely Church of Christ and Ridgely Coffee Club.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Ridgely chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Jeff O'Dell officiating. Burial will be in New Haven Cemetery in Ridgely.

The family will receive visitors from 5:30-9 p.m. today at the Ridgely chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Bobby Clint Frazier
Monday, December 16, 2002

Bobby Clint Frazier, 71, of Dyersburg, died Thursday at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville.
Services are at noon Wednesday at Cumberland Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Larry Blakeburn officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home and at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church.

Stanley Franklin Cook
Monday, December 16, 2002

Stanley Franklin Cook, 35, of Trimble, died Tuesday.
He was an employee of Dyer Grain Company and a member of the Turner Kirkland Memorial Shooting Range in Hornbeak.

Services were Sunday in the chapel of  Johnson Funeral Home in Newbern with the Rev. Glenn Forsee and Dr. William Oakley officiating. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery in Newbern.

Jimmy Powell, 51, of Dyersburg, died Sunday, Dec. 15, 2002 at his residence.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Hopewell Cumberland Presbyterian Church in America with the Rev. Ronald Bower officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at H.H. Hudson Funeral Home in Dyersburg.

George Randall 'Jodie' Stevens
Tuesday, December 17, 2002

George Randall "Jodie" Stevens, 19, of Memphis, formerly of Tiptonville, died Saturday, Dec. 14, 2002 at his residence.
He was a roofer for Vickers Roofing in Memphis, a kick-boxer in the Memphis area where he had won several trophies and played football and basketball for Lake County Junior High School.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Crockett's Chapel Cemetery with the Rev. Ralph Gunter officiating.  Johnson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Harriet Jean Kuta, 69, of Tiptonville, died Monday, Dec. 16, 2002 at Baptist Hospital in Union City.
She was a retired qualified medical assistant with Wedow Nursing Home in Michigan City, Ind., a member of First Christian Church in Michigan City, Ind. and First Baptist Church in Tiptonville and a graduate of Ivy Technical Institute in South Bend, Ind.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Tiptonville First Baptist Church with the Rev. Andy Martin officiating. Burial will be in Lake Memorial Gardens in Tiptonville.

The family will receive visitors at 5:30 p.m. today at Dyersburg Funeral Home in Dyersburg.

Linda May Hicks, 59, of Tiptonville, died Monday, Dec. 16, 2002 at Methodist North Hospital in Memphis.
She was a homemaker.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Tiptonville chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Houston Northcutt officiating. Burial will be Lake Memorial Gardens in Tiptonville.

Bill Dowdy Sr., 74, of Dyersburg, died Monday, Dec. 16, 2002 at Methodist Hospital in Germantown.
He was a refrigeration maintenance worker and attended Sorrell's Chapel Methodist Church.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of J.W. Curry Funeral Home with the Rev. Walt Asher officiating. Burial will be in Sorrell's Chapel Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Joel Richardson, 74, of Murray, Ky., formerly of Dyersburg, died Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2002 at Murray-Calloway County Hospital.
He was a retired employee of the maintenance department of Colonial Rubber Works, a member of Poplar Spring Baptist Church and a former commercial fisherman.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Friendship Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors at 6 p.m. today at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include his wife, Judy Copas Richardson; three daughters, Pam Ozment and husband, Bill, Alicia Sutin and husband, Todd, and Johnnie McFarland, and husband, Pat, all of Dyersburg; a son, Joel F. Robinson, and wife, Martha, of Guntown, Miss.; three stepsons, William O. Purvis and Keith Purvis, both of Dyersburg and Mark L. Purvis of Jackson; eight grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Morgan and Ivy Lee Follies Richardson; three sisters, Charlotte Hand, Gladys Peacock and Mildred Daniels; and two brothers, James Otis Richardson and Alvin Eugene Richardson.

Ruby Marie Deaton, 79, of Alamo, died Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2002 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
She was a homemaker and a member of Providence Baptist Church.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Friendship Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Prince officiating. Burial will be in Providence Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors at 5-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Survivors include a daughter, Ann James of Humboldt; a son, David Meeks of Minneapolis, Minn.; two sisters, Mai Myers of Bells and Geraldine Fennel of Alamo; a brother, W.H. Fennel of Friendship; and three grandchildren, Rhonda Deal of Dyersburg, Paul James of Humboldt and Chris Meeks of Arkansas.

Pallbearers will be Paul James, Durwood Meeks, Joel Deal, Marcus Fennel, Chris Bryan and Mike Pryor.

Opal Reed Orr, 95, of Memphis, formerly of Tiptonville, died Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2002 at her residence. She was a retired cook for Lake County School System and attended Wynnburg Baptist Church.
Services will be at noon Saturday in the Tiptonville chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Ernest Mayo officiating. Burial will be in Tiptonville City Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors at 5:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Survivors include a daughter, Wilma Orr Perez of Tiptonville; four grandchildren, Carolyn Cantrell of Cordova, Sheila Steele Etkin of Memphis, David Steele of Santa Fe, New Mexico and Richard Steele of Las Vegas, Nev.; four great-grandchildren, Kellee Cantrell Michael, Zoe Etkin, Sarah Steele and Jessie Steele; and three great-great-grandchildren, Dillon Cantrell Cornwell, Caleb Michael and Sam Michael.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Al Orr; a daughter, Rebecca Harvey; her parents, Tom and Mattie Parker; a brother, J.C. Parker; and a great-grandson, Kevin Cantrell.

Pallbearers will be Tony Parker, Sidney Ashmore, Joe Hatley, Norman Rhodes, David Gooch and Roy Moore. Honorary pallbearers will be Phillip Hodge and Lyman Rhodes. Hannah Leigh Pinson and Hailey Brooke Pinson

Hannah Leigh Pinson and Hailey Brooke Pinson, infant twin daughters of Matt and Andrea Pinson of Memphis, died Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2002 at the Regional Medical Center in Memphis.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in New Haven Cemetery with Brother Jeff O'Dell officiating. J.W. Curry & Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive visitors at 1 p.m. Sunday at the graveside.

In addition to their parents, they leave their grandparents, James and Christine Roberson of Newbern, Brian Pinson of Memphis and Jennifer Davis of Paris; and their great-grandparents, Yvonne and Gertrude Roberson of Ridgely, Marge Mason of Vienna, Ill., Carol and Carolyn Mason of Mayfield, Ky., Marion Davis of Dyersburg and Larry and Bobbie Pinson of Milan.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of J.W. Curry & Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Don Layman and Major Jimmy  Jackson officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg.

The family will receive visitors at 5-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Survivors include her husband, George T. Harris of Dyersburg; two daughters, Rita C. Harris and Chastity Brewer, both of Dyersburg; a son, George T. Harris of Dyersburg; three sisters, Shirley Hatch, Ruby Earp and Wilma Patton, all of Dyersburg; two brothers, James Barker of Dyersburg and Marshall Barker of Hornbeak; and two grandchildren, Andy Ford and Matthew Ford.

She was preceded in death by her parents, W.M. and Ebilee Barker; and a brother, R.L. Barker.

Pallbearers will be Ronnie Jackson, Billy Jackson, Barry Harris, Ricky Harris, Ricky Hatch, Charlie Ozment and James Taylor.

Services were at 2 p.m. Sunday at Friendship Funeral Home with the Rev. Eugene Bishop officiating. Burial was in Bowen's Chapel Cemetery in Friendship.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday in the chapel of  Johnson Funeral Home with Dr. Thomas Parnell and the Rev. Jack Criswell officiating. Burial will be in Poplar Grove Cemetery in Newbern.

Blanche Rhodes Faught, 98, of Wynnburg, died Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2002, at Obion County Nursing Home.
She was a retired school teacher and a landowner. A lifelong member of Wynnburg Baptist Church, she served as Sunday school teacher and pianist until her 80s. She also served as women's director of the Farm Bureau and was a member of the Wynnburg Woman's Club.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Wynnburg Baptist Church with Brother Ernest Mayo, Brother Ralph Buckley and Brother Chip Davis officiating. Burial will be in Tiptonville City Cemetery. J.W. Curry & Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive visitors from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. today at the church.

Martha Faye Carnatzie, 55, of Ridgely, died Friday, Dec. 20, 2002, at her home. She was a homemaker.

The widow of Damon Carnatzie, survivors include a daughter, Martha Elaine Davis of Obion; two sisters, Hattie Tolley of Ridgely and Ann Kelsey of Dyersburg; three brothers, Thomas Morton of Union City, Leonard Morton of Blytheville, Ark., and Gail Morton of Kansas City, Kan.; a granddaughter, Natasha Elaine Thacker; and two great-grandchildren, Brionna Danielle Thacker and Damon Wesley Thacker.
