Wayne E. Joslin, 66, died Friday, April 18, 2003 at his residence in Dyersburg.
He was retired from Dyersburg Fabrics and as head of maintenance at Dyersburg State Community College. He was a member of Cumberland Presbyterian Church where he was an elder. He was very active in the Logos Youth program for many years, and also very active in Relay for Life for many years.
Funeral Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Cumberland Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Larry Blakeburn officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg.

Gussie Mae Hudson, 82, of Finley, died Saturday, April 19, 2003 at Ridgely Care and Rehabilitation Center.
She was a retired employee of Sylvania for 14 years and a member of Finley Pentecostal Church for over 50 years. She was also an avid gardener and loved music, playing a great variety of instruments.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Finley Pentecostal Church. Burial will be at McCullough Chapel Cemetery.
Visitation will be at 5:30 to 9 p.m. Monday at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Godwin Williams Jr., 89, of Signal Mountain, formerly of Dyersburg, died Monday, April 7, 2003. He had lived in the Chattanooga area since 1937 He attended Cumberland University, and graduated in electrical engineering at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. He was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity After employment with the Tennessee Electric Power Co., he worked in the power program of the Tennessee Valley Authority for 38 years, retiring from TVA as its manager of power in 1977.
He was active in many industry and professional organizations. He participated in the development and organization of the North America Power Systems Interconnection Committee, the Southeastern Electric Reliability Council, the National Electric Reliability Council and the Electric Power Research Institute, and held various positions of responsibility in these organizations. He served as a representative of the United States in several international undertakings in the electric power field. He was a member of the Chattanooga Engineers Club, a life senior member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers, and a former president of the Chattanooga Chapter of the National Society of Professional Engineers and the University of Tennessee Alumni Association. After his retirement in 1977, he was very active in advocacy for the elderly, serving in various official capacities including valleywide president of the TVA Retirees Association, president of the Chattanooga Chapter of the American Association of Retired Persons, and chairman of Its Tennessee Legislative Committee.
He served as a board member and president of Bicentennial Volunteers Inc., an organization of volunteers who are retirees of TVA. Williams was a parishioner of St. Timothy's Episcopal Church. Services were at St. Timothy's Episcopal Church on Signal Mountain April 10 with the Rev. George Choyce officiating. West Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Dr. Lynn A. Warner Jr., 72, of Dyersburg, died Friday, April 18, 2003 at Sherman Oaks Hospital in Sherman Oaks, Calif.
He attended the University of Tennessee at Martin, graduated from the University of Tennessee Medical School in Memphis, interned at John Gaston City Hospital in Memphis, and served a four-year surgical residency at Beckley Memorial Hospital in West Virginia. He moved to Dyersburg in 1962 to begin practice. He served as Chief of Staff at Parkview Hospital; during that time he led in training the first group of paramedics for the ambulance service. He was fellow of the American College of Surgeons, Southeastern Surgical Congress, Northwest Tennessee Medical Society. He was a member of First Baptist Church where he had served as Sunday school teacher and deacon. He went on volunteer mission trips to Philippine Islands, Gaza Strip, India, Venezuela and Thailand.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Raymond Boston and the Rev. Don Hammons officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors at 5-8 p.m. Thursday at Dyersburg Funeral Home.
