Frances Nance
MILAN-Frances Ellen Nance, 82, homemaker, died Friday at  Jackson General Hospital. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at First Assembly of God Church, Milan, with burial in Gibson County Memory Gardens. She was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Milan and a former Sunday school teacher. Ms. Nance, the widow of Leon Nance, leaves two sons, Terry L. Nance of Milan and David W. Nance of Trenton; three daughters, Norma J. Nance of Mesa, AZ, Donna K. Hibner of Lavinia and Sheryl A. Love of Milan; a brother, Royal Roberts of Portageville, MO, 10 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

Robert Brisentine
MILAN-Services for Robert “Jack” Brisentine, 75, were held at 2 PM on Monday, June 18, 2007, in the Shelton-Hunt Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Gibson County Memory Gardens. Mr. Brisentine, a retired construction worker, passed away Wednesday, June 13 at the Humboldt Manor Nursing Home. He is survived by his wife, Christine Brisentine of Milan; three daughters, Jackie Campbell (Brandon) of Knoxville, Carolyn Moore (Larry) of Murfreesboro, and Janice Brisentine of Milan; a son, Wendell Brisentine (Charlene) of Dyer; a sister, Thelma Pickard of Gibson; a brother, Billy Brisentine of Las Vegas, NV; three step sisters, Jean, Patsy and Judy; a step brother, Richard; six grandchileren, Greg, Tracey, Crystal, Timmy, Wendy, and Wendell, Jr., and five great-grandchildren.

Buddy McMinn
MILAN-Buddy McMinn, 67, died Saturday at Senath Nursing Home in Senath, MO. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Bodkin Funeral Home with burial in Chapel Hill Cemetery. Mr. McMinn leaves two sons, Kevin R. McMinn of Huntingdon and Raymond McMinn of Trenton; two daughters, Lisa T. Rowand of  Jackson and Tina L. Fuller of Dyer; four brothers, Carlos McMinn of Patton, MO, Larry McMinn and Allen McMinn, both of Gibson and Freddie McMinn of Decatur, AL; three sisters, Eulene McMinn of Milan, Carolyn Hefley of Three Way and Betty DePriest of Trezevant and 8 grandchildren, Josh Tuttle, Brodie Tuttle, Kaleb McMinn, Kolton McMinn, Matt Cox, Richard McMinn, Rachel McMinn and Billy McMinn. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Bernice McMinn and Travis McMinn and a sister, Mary Evelyn Mangrum.

Virginia Hardy
CLARKSBURG-Virginia Hardy, 89, died Friday, June 20, at Huntingdon Health and Rehabilitation Center. Services were Sunday at the Clarksburg Church of Christ. Interment followed in the Sellers Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Hardy was born February 23, 1919 to the late Neal Anderson and Sudie  Johnson Anderson. She was a homemaker and a member of the Clarksburg Church of Christ. She was also preceded in death by her husband Homer Roosevelt Hardy, who passed away May 4, 2006, two grand-daughters Tammy Beasley, Misty Beasley, son-in-law, Travis Carroll, five sisters and two brothers. She is survived by four daughters, Barbara Perry (Gene) of Clarksburg, Bonnie Parrish of Jackson, Brenda Beasley (Billy), Betty Carroll both of Camden, three sons, Bobby Hardy (Janie) of Huntingdon, Bennie Hardy of Clarksburg, Billy Hardy (Donna) of Milan, one sister Edith Stockdale of Henry, ten grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and nine great great-grandchildren.

Travis McBroom
MILAN-Services for Travis McBroom, 70, were Monday at Replogle-Lawrence Funeral Home with burial in Gibson County Memory Gardens. He died Friday at NHC in Milan. He was a retired truck driver for Milan Express, a member of Milan Masonic Lodge #191 and a member of Fellowship Baptist Church. He leaves his wife, Zelma Shook McBroom; two daughters, Thelma Dulin and husband M.D. of  Jackson and Rhonda Tilley and husband Keith of Trenton; a son, Burl McBroom of Milan, 6 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

Guadalupe Gonzales Sr.
MILAN-Guadalupe Gonzales, Sr., 77, retired Irvin Fly Company employee, died Sunday at Milan General Hospital. Graveside services will be at 2 pm Wednesday at Lessenberry Chapel Cemetery. He was a member of St. Matthews Catholic Church. Mr. Gonzales, the husband of Francis Gonzales, also leaves four sons, Domingo Gonzales and Valdo Gonzales, both of Milan, Cecil Gonzales of  Jackson and John Mark Gonzales of Medina; two daughters, Doris Dickson of McKenzie and Mary Wall of Milan; four brothers, Frank Gonzales of Weston, OH, George Gonzales and Domingo Gonzales, both of Pontiac, MI, and Richard Gonzales of Pasadena, TX, 18 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three sons, Guadalupe Gonzales Jr, Raymond Paul Gonzales and P.J. Gonzales; a daughter, Juanita McDonald; two sisters, Maggie Flores and Janie Abila and a grandson. Memorials may be sent to the American Cancer Society.

GIBSON-Pearl Boone Tidwell, 90, retired Brown Shoe Company employee, died Thursday at Humboldt General Hospital. Services were Sunday at Bodkin Funeral Home with burial in Gibson County Memory Gardens. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church, Humboldt. Ms. Tidwell, the widow of William Dennis Tidwell, leaves four sons, Paul Tidwell and Jere Tidwell, both of Chicago, IL, Bill Tidwell of Atlanta, GA and Don Tidwell of Indianapolis, IN; a sister, Margaret Shanks of McEwen, 9 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Delbert Tidwell, three brothers, 7 sisters and a grandchild. Memorials may be sent to the St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, Memphis, TN.

Mr. Bryant, the husband of Kathy Bennett Bryant, also leaves his mother, Nancy Park Bryant of Bruceton; his father, Bobby Bryant of Milan; a son, Nick Bryant of Bruceton; a step-daughter, Jessica Reed of Bruceton; a half-sister, Lee Williford and a half-brother, John Bryant, both of Medin.

Micheal Ralph Hooten was born April 15, 2008 and passed away May 27, 2008. Burial services were held Friday, May 30, 2008 at Salem Presbyterian Church cemetery in Gadsden, TN. The son of Finis and Kristen Hooten, Micheal also leaves three brothers, Taylor, Finis Jr. and Christian; a sister, Catlyn; grandparents, Terry & Cynthia Tidwell, Eddie & Darla Hooten and Robbie Thorton and great-grandparents, Gary & Glenda Morris, Hester & Betty Tidwell and Brenda Henry.

He leaves a daughter, Evelyn Stone of Hendersonville; three sons, Roy Pierce of Jackson, Jerry Pierce of Milan and Richard Pierce of Humboldt; two half-sisters, Dorothy Brazel of Memphis and Karine White of Milan; two half-brothers, Billy White of Milan and Lewis White of Trenton, 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Autry, the widow of Will Autry, leaves three daughters, Wilma Moore and Charlotte Fullington, both of Medina, and Cheryl McKeehan of Joplin, MO; a brother, Quinton Haynes of Dyersburg, and a grandchild.

She was a member of First Baptist Church and a former Sunday school teacher. Mrs. Walker, the widow of B.M. Schoonover and Arden Walker, leaves a son, Jerry Schoonover of Waverly; a brother, Buddy Wallace of Milan, and a grandson Phillip Schoonover, Memphis. The family requests that memorials be sent to First Baptist Church.
