Bradley, Thelma Warwick, 81, of Knoxville, died Feb. 22. She operated Bradley’s Market, a four-generation family business, for many years and chaired the 9th ward Democrat committee. She was a member of the Old Deadrick Avenue Baptist Church. Bridges, Maldon Tyson, 95, of Knoxville, died Feb. 23 at Windwood Health Center in Clinton. He was a longtime member of Arlington Baptist Church and a graduate of LMU. He taught school for seven years in Union County, then worked for C.M. McClung for 30 years and retired from House Hasson Hardware. He was an active member and past master of Bright Hope Lodge. Sarah Elizabeth Moore, 99, died Jan. 20 of complications of a massive stroke. She was a member of Union Baptist Church of Halls and had five children, of which two are deceased, Little Bill Moore and Bonnie Fowler. She leaves three daughters, Naomi Irwin, Evloy Franklin and Edna Hensley, and two sons-in-law, Carl Irwin and the Rev. Jim Hensley. She has 14 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, many nephews and nieces. She was loved by all who knew her and known as "Mama Moore."
