Mr. Bebb authored two books on UT football, “The Big Orange” (1973) and “Vols” (1994). Survived by wife of 50 years, LaWanda Carter Bebb; daughter, Kimberly Bebb McNeil; sons, Russell Harrison Bebb III and Bradley Christopher Bebb and their families. Edith Rhea Cessna, 88, of Powell, passed away Dec. 1. Member of Mt. Hermon Methodist Church. Retired from Children’s Hospital as an RN. preceded in death by husband, Robert Cessna Sr. Survived by children, Patti Jeffers, Robert Cessna and their families; siblings, Glenn Rhea, Roxie Rhodes and their families. Fannie Corum Huskisson died Dec. 1. Member of Central Baptist Church of Fountain City. preceded in death by husband, Carl, and daughter, Glenda Sharp. Survived by son Clayton “Eddie” Huskisson and his family.

Delta Lawson Kitts, 86, of Luttrell, passed away Dec. 1. Member of New Friendship Baptist Church. preceded in death by husband, the Rev. James E. Kitts. Survived by children: Helen Jones, Jeff Kitts, David Kitts and their families. Cooke Mortuary.

John William Kyle, 81, of Powell, died Nov. 29. Member of the First Apostolic Church of Knoxville. Retired from Laub’s Bakery; U.S. Army veteran of WW II. Survived by wife of 58 years, Helen Ruth Kyle; children, John Douglas Kyle, Larry Roberts, Thelma Jean Prather and their families; sister Goldie Mozelle Anderson. Dotson Funeral Home.

Ruth Marie Hunt Lohrey, 75, of Heiskell, passed away Nov. 30. Survived by husband of 56 years, Donald D. Lohrey; children: David Lohrey, Dale Lohrey, Steven Lohrey, Glenn Lohrey and their families.

Joyce Ann Cooper McCloud, 71, passed away Dec. 3. Retired from the Knox County school system after 32 years of service; Powell High School library named in her honor. Member of Christ United Methodist Church, where she was involved with the choir and United Methodist Women. Survived by husband of 46 years, John R. Tommie Leatha Steward Miller, 49, formerly of Delano, Tenn., died Dec. 1. Survived by her husband, David Ray Miller of Delano; mother, Melva Irene Steward of Powell; children, Dwayne Miller, Celina Miller, Sarah Miller and Amanda Miller of Etowah; two stepdaughters, Robin Castell and Angela Peterson; and their families. John Jacob Astor Leffel Jr., 54, passed away Nov. 21. Attended Gayland Heights Baptist Church. He very proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a proud member of Sons of Confederate Veterans and an avid Civil War collector and relic hunter. He retired from the KUB Gas Department after 23 years.
