Fannie Mae White, 91, passed away Oct. 10. She was of the Baptist faith and was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond White. Survived by children and their families: Judy Holloway, Junior, Harrison and Gerald White. Rose Mortuary.

Nettie Mae Wright, 92, of Corryton, passed away Oct. 13 at St. Mary’s Residential Hospice. Member of Black Oak Heights Baptist Church. preceded in death by husband of 52 years, John Wright; children: Charles Wright and Jane Hayes. Survived by children and their families: Doyle Wright Sr., James Wright, John Wright Jr., Shirley Jean Shanks, Kay Whicker, Tommie Sue Albright; sister, Almir Ooten. Woodhaven.

Johnny D. “Sonny” Wyrick, 65, of Luttrell, passed away Saturday morning. Member of Friendship Baptist Church and retired from Hutting Sash and Door Co. Survived by children: Eugene, Ronnie, Christy and their families. Cooke Mortuary.

Alva Catherine Beam Barringer, 88, passed away Oct. 7. Her father, Jesse Warren Beam, was well known in the business community until his death in 1952. Her mother, Modesta Elizabeth Dunn Beam, was the granddaughter of one of Knoxville’s founding families. preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Eugene Barringer; one child, Marsha Vann Barringer. Survived by sister, Mildred Beam Bass; children and spouses, J.W. and Delilah Barringer, Bob and Gail Barringer Woodall Horner, Charles Barringer, Don and Linda Barringer, Doug and Natalie Barringer, and Tom and Cheryl Barringer Warren; her beloved grandchildren; great-grandchildren. Marie Elizabeth Brewton, 83, passed away Oct. 6. Member of North Knoxville Baptist Church. preceded in death by husband, Roy D. Brewton, and daughter, Judith Ann Ward. Bess Dyer Donahue, formerly of Knoxville, died Oct. 4 in Jacksonville, Fla., where she had lived since 1980. She lived six days beyond her 101st birthday. preceded in death by husband, Everett Donahue, longtime employee of Home Beneficial Life Insurance Co.
