Mary Arlene Rouse Bowen, 62, passed away May 27 at UT Medical Center. She was the founder, owner and operator of Mary’s Home Furnishings in New Tazewell. She and her husband, Hershel, were owners of Oakwood Furniture / Heritage House in New Tazewell. Others survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Rita and Keith Cheatham of Morristown; son and daughter-in-law, David and Kristy Bowen of New Tazewell; three grandchildren; two special nieces, Judy Collins and Janice England who operated the furniture stores.
