Gloria Sargent
Gloria Sargent, 68, Clarksville, died Friday, June 7, 2002, at Gateway Medical Center.
The funeral will be 1 p.m. Monday at Neal-Tarpley Funeral Home with the Rev. Ricky Reynolds officiating. Burial will be at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be today from 4 to 8 p.m. and Monday at 11 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Sargent was born June 10, 1933, in Prichard Ala., daughter of Ernest and Irene Ethridge Waltman. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Gloria Jean Crotzer.
She was retired from civil service at Fort Campbell, where she worked in the military post office and was a member of Apostolic Faith Tabernacle.
In addition to her mother of Chickasaw, Ala., she is survived by her husband, John C. Sargent; a son, Larry D. Bringhurst, Madison; a brother, Ronald Waltman, Van Cleve, Miss.; three sisters, Joyce Lumpkin, Chickasaw, Elaine Gill, Montgomery, Ala., and April Wall, Boynton Beach, Fla.; and two grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Larry Bringhurst, Jim Sargent, Bobby Green, Dwayne Callas, Robert Callas and Tommy Crotzer.

David Scott
David Scott, 42, died Friday, June 7, 2002.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, with full military and police honors.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Sykes Funeral Home.

Isaiah Watson, 74, of Guthrie, Ky., died Thursday, June 6, 2002, at his residence.

Susan Brothers
Susan V. Brothers, 95, Clarksville, died Tuesday, May 28, 2002, at Gateway Medical Center.

Katherine Holland
Katherine Leary Holland, 92, Clarksville, died Sunday, May 26, 2002, at her home.

Bernard Luna
Bernard Luna, 59, Lawton, Okla., died Sunday, May 26, 2002, in Oklahoma.

Margaret McAndrews
Margaret Shallis Mildred McAndrews, 86, Clarksville, died Monday, May 27, 2002, at Clarksville Manor Nursing Home.

Luther Melton
Luther Hodge Melton, 81, Trenton, Ky., died Monday, May 27, 2002, at Veterans Hospital, Nashville.

Edith Pitcher
Edith Pitcher, 72, Indian Mound, died Monday, May 27, 2002.

Gerald Payne
Gerald Thomas Payne, 61, of Hopkinsville, died Saturday, May 25, 2002, at his home after a brief illness.
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Hughart and Beard Funeral Home with Bro. Danyel Loar officiating. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. Wednesday until the time of service at the funeral home.
He was born March 21, 1941, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, the son of William David and Billie Ira White Payne.
Mr. Payne operated the switchboard at Fort Campbell's Blanchfield Army Community Hospital after retiring from the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife, Christa Geiger-Payne; two sons, Thomas Ernest Payne and William Gerald Payne, both of Clarksville; a brother, David Payne, of Nevada; two sisters, Verna Jean Gifford, of Idaho, and Linda Sue McWhorter, of Washington; and two grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Pennyrile Hospice.

Katherine Holland
Katherine Leary Holland, 92, of Clarksville, died Sunday, May 26, 2002, at her home.
No funeral is planned. The remains will be cremated. Neal-Tarpley Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
She was born Aug. 4, 1909, in DeLand, Fla., the daughter of William Leary and Mary Hutchinson Leary. She was the widow of Alexander C. Holland.
Mrs. Holland was a clerk for Volusia County, Fla. She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church. She also was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the American Association of University Women.
Survivors include a goddaughter, Charlene B. Lollar, Clarksville; and a cousin, Anna Katherine Korling, Crescent City, Calif.
Memorials may be made to the Academy for Academic Excellence in care of Katherine L. Holland Memorial Scholarship at Cumberland Bank and Trust, or to the Clarksville Humane Society.

Irene Baggett
Irene Baggett, 84, of Erin, died Monday, May 27, 2002, at Trinity Hospital, Erin.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Nave Funeral Home, Erin, with the Rev. Artist Waynick officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be today from 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 8 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
She was born on Feb. 16, 1918 in Stewart County, the daughter of Toby Lyle and Mable Barnes Lyle Howell. She was the widow of the Rev. Owen Baggett. A son, David Baggett, preceded her in death.
Mrs. Baggett was a homemaker.
Survivors include a son, Randy Baggett, Tennessee Ridge; two daughters, Selma Ladd, Erin, and Shirley Waller, Nashville; two brothers, Archie Howell, Detroit, and Donald Howell, Huntingdon; four sisters, Myra Coakley, Erin, Dorothy Reynolds, Tennessee Ridge, Frances Mangrum, Detroit, and Bonnie Enzore, Atwood; 11 grandchildren and 18-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Bill Baggett, Dan Baggett, Cory Baggett, Randy Baggett Jr., Tibb Ladd and Benji Waller.

Curt Seifert
Curt Robert Seifert, 52, Clarksville, died Saturday, May 25, 2002, at Gateway Medical Center. McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home will announce arrangements.

Betty Seifert
Betty Jean Seifert, 67, Clarksville, died Dec. 11, 2001 at her residence. The body was cremated.

Michael Barnett Jr.
Michael Dale Barnett Jr., 25, formally of Clarksville, died Thursday, May 23, 2002, at St. Mary's Hospital in Galesburg, Ill.

Debra Davis
Debra Lynne Davis, 47, of Clarksville, died Friday, May 24, 2002, at Gateway Medical Center.

Mildred Harrison
Mildred L. Huggins Harrison, 75, of Cunningham, died Friday, May 24, 2002, at her residence.

Joseph Lambert
Joseph Daniel Lambert, 69, of Clarksville, died Saturday, May 25, 2002, at his residence.

Ruth Lee
Ruth Gillum Lee, 87, of Clarksville, died Saturday, May 25, 2002, at her residence.
