James E. Martin, 74, of Clarksville, died Saturday, May 25, 2002, at Gateway Medical Center. Remains to be cremated with services announced at a later date by McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home.

Lena Miller
Lena Irene Miller, 81, of Palmyra, died Saturday, May 25, 2002, at Gateway Medical Center.

Juanita Parrott
Juanita Sue Parrott, 50, of Erin, died Friday, May 24, 2002, at Gateway Medical Center.

Theodore Rogers
Theodore R. Rogers, 99, of Clarksville, died Thursday, May 23, 2002, at Gateway Medical Center.

Susan Ambuhl
Susan Durrett Ambuhl, 76, San Antonio, Texas, formally of Clarksville, died Saturday, May 4, 2002, at Nix Hospital, San Antonio, Texas.

Jamie Corbin
Jamie D. Corbin, 75, Elkton, Ky., died Monday, May 6, 2002, at Logan Memorial Hospital, Russellville, Ky.

James Gough
James "Springfield" Gough, 63, Poston Street, died Thursday, May 2, 2002, at Baptist Hospital, Nashville.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Hooker's Funeral Home.
Visitation will be today from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
He was born Aug. 8, 1938, in Springfield, son of James Frank Gough Sr. and Irie Gough.
Mr. Gough was a retired city employee and a member of Wesley Chapel C.M.E. Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Denise West and Ella Mae Webb, both of Clarksville; a brother, Joe Lesley Lunford; and three grandchildren.

Lylie Hockett Sr.
Lylie E. Hockett Sr., 77, Detroit, formerly of Clarksville, died Saturday, May 4, 2002, at his residence.

Amanda Smith
Amanda Starr Smith, 16, Ashland City, died Friday May 3, 2002.

Betty Wall
Betty Lou McWhorter Wall, 62, Clarksville, died Sunday, May 5, 2002, at Gateway Medical Center.

Clarence Newsome
Clarence Newsome, 70, Cunningham Place, died Saturday, April 20, 2002, at Gateway Medical Center.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Foston Funeral Home. Burial will be in Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
He was born Jan. 13, 1932, in Mendenhall, Miss., son of Lossie and Amanda Walker Newsome.
Mr. Newsome was retired from the U.S. Army and G's Pancake House.
Survivors include a daughter, Alice Newsome, Mississippi; two brothers, L.S. Newsome and Bobby Ray Newsome, both of Mississippi; two sisters, Mary Littleton and Mallie Taylor, both of Mississippi; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Edward Woodall
Edward C. Woodall Jr., 77, Dover, died Thursday, April 11, 2002, at his residence.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Sykes Funeral Home, Dover, with the Rev. Eddie Young officiating. Burial will be in Crow Cemetery, Bumpus Mills.
Visitation will be today from 4 to 8 p.m. and Saturday at 10 a.m. until the hour of the service at the funeral home.
He was born Sept. 4, 1924, in Piney Creek, Ky., son of Edward C. Woodall Sr. and Lita Crider Woodall.
Mr. Woodall was a retired manager with Whirlpool, Evansville, Ind., and served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Free Will Baptist Church where he served as a deacon, the VFW and the Masonic Lodge, Evansville.
Survivors include his wife, Della LaRue Wallace Woodall; two sons, Terry Woodall, Georgia, and Tim Woodall, Big Rock; a brother, Dean Woodall, Metarie, La.; a sister, Bonnie Carter, Hopkinsville, Ky.; and three grandsons.
Pallbearers will be Mike Luton, Dan Wallace, James Woodall, Jeff Woodall, Terry Woodall and Tim Woodall.

Vivian Rorie
Vivian Jenette Rorie, 78, Clarksville, died Thursday, April 11, 2002, at Montgomery County Nursing Home.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Sykes Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Bobby Kail and Howard Fuller officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be today from 3 to 8 p.m. and Saturday at 9 a.m. until the service at the funeral home.
She was born Jan. 1, 1924, in Henderson County, daughter of Paul and Sula Cunningham Jordan.
Mrs. Rorie was a retired nurse and homemaker and was a member of Hilldale Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir.
Survivors include her husband, John William Rorie, Clarksville; four daughters, Judy Chaney, Louisville, Ky., Linda Nichols and Doris Wilbur, both of Clarksville, and Carolyn Wentz, Huntsville, Ala.; a sister, Jean Greene, Bolivar; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be members of Hilldale Baptist Church choir.

Shirley Powell
Shirley Powell, 76, Erin, died Thursday, April 11, 2002, at Trinity Hospital, Erin, of natural causes.
Arrangements to be announced by Nave Funeral Home, Erin.

George Gray
George Thornton Gray, 76, Dover, died Wednesday, April 10, 2002, at Veterans Hospital in Nashville.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Anglin Funeral Home with the Rev. Joe Moore officiating. Burial will be in Heflin Cemetery, Dover.
Visitation will be today from 4:30 to 8 p.m.
He was born Aug. 12, 1925, in Stewart County, son of George and Annie Hilmus Gray.
Mr. Gray was a former state trooper, retired port engineer, founder of Gray's Garage and member of New Haven Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Reva Hicks Gray, Dover; four sons, Billy Gray, Fritz Gray and George Gray, all of Dover, and Frankie Gray, Clarksville; three stepsons, Craig Bagby and David Hicks, both of Dover, and Andy Hicks, Buchanan; two daughters, Gayla Grise and Leta Joiner, both of Dover; two brothers, Chester Gray, Rockville, Md., and Russell Gray, Clarksville; a sister, Violet Crow, Dover; 13 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are sons and stepsons.

Martha Bryant
Martha Louise Bryant, 83, Dover, died Thursday, April 11, 2002, at her son's residence.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Fairview Baptist Church, Dover, with the Rev. James Luffman officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Dover. Anglin Funeral Home, Dover, is in charge of arrangements.
Visitation will be today from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. at the home of her son, Bobby Bryant, 2025 Highway 120, Big Rock.
She was born July 8, 1918, in Stewart County, daughter of Jim and Viola Harris. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earnest Bryant Sr.
Mrs. Bryant was a homemaker and a Baptist.
Survivors include two sons, Bobby Bryant, Big Rock, and Earnest Bryant Jr., Dover; two brothers, Gordon Harris, Cumberland City, and James Harris, Collinsville, Ill.; five sisters, Nell Atkins, Paris, Dorothy Draper, Collinsville, Marylyn Hagrove, Clarksville, and Allie Mae Russell and Mary Stout, both of Dover; seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Earnest Bryant, James Bryant, William Fallowell, Daniel Hall, Calvin Wallace and Orval Wallace.
