Ruby Wossum
Ruby Wilson Wossum, 81, Springville, died Monday, Feb. 6, 2012, at home.
A memorial service is planned at 1 p.m. Friday at Antioch United Methodist Church. Visitation will be at the church one hour before the service. Ridgeway Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
She was married
on Dec. 15, 1948, to Charles Elton Wossum, who died Feb. 4, 2004.
Wossum was a member of Antioch United Methodist Church and she earned a bachelor’s and two master’s degrees from the University of Memphis. She was a professor at State Technical Institute in Memphis.
Survivors include two daughters: Debra (Winston) Hawks of Springville and Robyn (Bruce) Hulsart of Dover.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis 38106.
Thomas Cole
Graveside service 2:00 P.M. Thursday at Shiloh Cemetery, Bro. Mike Waddy of Cottage Grove Baptist Church will officiate.
No visitation is scheduled. Born in Mansfield, TN to the late Luther and Mary Lena Hoffman Cole. On July 23, 1959 he married
Maxine Lindsey Cole, she preceded October 20, 2003.
Survived by a step-daughter: Patricia Ann Wilkins Wilder, Louisville, KY; son: Thomas R. (Isabella) Cole, Jr., Austin, TX; eleven grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
Preceded by sisters: Hilda Bowden, Ina B. Doty, Judith Lane, Alma Cole, Hallie Dathel Cole; brothers: William Louie Cole, Samuel Cole and Leroy Cole.
He was a wholesale electronic salesman, Army Veteran of WWII. Mr. Cole served as a Baptist Pastor off and on throughout much of his life, particularly when he and Maxine lived in the Ozark Mountains of Arkansas.
Linda Nell James Culver
Linda Culver, 64, Paris, died Friday, Feb. 3, 2012, at the Jackson Madison General Hospital.
Survivors include her mother, Maud Elaine Russell James, Murray; two daughters, Tina McGlasson, Paris; Gina Merrell, Paris; son, James "Bubba" Nance, Murray; three sisters, Brenda Sue Smith, Almo, Ky.; Barbara Kirby, Puryear and Doris Forsythe, Buchanan; one brother, Glenn Dale James, Antioch, Tenn., and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Munn; sixteen great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded by sisters: Inez Ellis, Thyra Cox; brothers: Will Moody, Andrew Moody, Elwood Moody, Edward Curd Moody, Hunter Moody; one grandchild and two great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Brown was a member of the East Wood Church of Christ. She was active in Oakland community events.
Opal Hill
Opal Hill, 92, Puryear, died Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2012, at McKenzie Healthcare. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Ridgeway Funeral Home.
Burial will follow in Puryear City Cemetery.
She was married
on July 11, 1937 to J.V. Hill, who died Dec. 26, 1998.
Hill was a member of Puryear United Methodist Church.
Survivors include two daughters: Myra (Van) Thompson and Letha (Ralph) Crain, both of Puryear; three grandchildren: Eddie (Donna) Thompson and Michael and Kevin Crain; four great-grandchildren: Cayley (Taylor) Lawley, Jacob and Rachel Crain and Emma Kate Thompson; and one great-great-grandchild: Aaron Cain.

She was born in Henry County, TN to the late Joe D. and Opal Wilson Ray. On April 18, 1954 she married
Max Cook, he survives in Paris, TN. A brother Billy Joe Ray preceded.
For more than two years she had two special caregivers: Caorlyn Nored and Joyce Ann Thurmond.
A member of the Brainerd United Methodist Church, after she and her husband returned to Paris they transfered their membership to First United Methodist Church.
Joanne graduated in 1947 from Puryear High School and was employed by Dr. Chesemore as his Medical Assistant. When called, they delivered babies in the homes of Henry County residents. Later she was employed at Fuller-Morgan Hospital in Mayfield, KY until her husband was transfered to Chattanooga. There she worked with Dr. Gilbert Roberts, a Urology Specialist.
Bill Coleman
Bill Coleman, 74, Huntingdon, died Monday, January 30, 2012 at Bruceton. Funeral services will be held Thursday at Ridgeway Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Methodist cemetery in Huntingdon.
Born in Henry on Feb. 17, 1937, he was the son of the late Eulas Grant and Georgia Bell Lowe Coleman.
He was married
on Oct. 12, 1957, to Wanda Faye Vinard Coleman, who died Feb. 16, 2002.
Coleman was retired from Gaines Manufacturing Co. in McKenzie and was a member of Eastview Baptist Church in Huntingdon.
Survivors include two sons: John (Denise) Coleman of Dyer and Standley (Jackie) Coleman of Camden; and great-grandchild: Carter Coleman.
Dan Perry

He was born in Henry, TN to the late Robert C. and Virgie Dinkins Perry. On February 3, 1963 he married
Mary Elizabeth "Beth" Perry, she survives in Henry, TN.
Survived by sisters: Helen Stubbs, Dade City, FL, Reba Edwards, Raphine, VA, Dona Robbins, Ocala, FL; brother: R.C. Perry, McKenzie, TN; numerous nieces, nephews and other close friends.
Preceded by two sisters: Robbie Taylor and Betty Lawrence.
Dan was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Paris. He graduated in 1957 from Henry High School. A retired insurance agent with Farmers Insurance Group in Florissant, MO and was a member of the Missouri Lions Club also in Florissant. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, enjoyed traveling and especially going on cruises.

Odie Kemp
Stanley, "Odie" Kemp, 57, Paris, died Friday, Jan. 27, 2012 at his home. Funeral services were held at Ridgeway Funeral Home, with burial in Olive Branch Cemetery.
His wife, Judy Hosford Kemp, survives. They were married
on Nov. 26, 1976.
Born Nov. 17, 1954, in Paris, he was the son of the late Odie Kemp Jr. and Ruth Atkins Kemp.
Kemp worked for Paris Natural Gas for 21 years. He was a member of Jones Chapel Baptist Church and was a member of E-Z Rodders Car Club and the Paris Moose Lodge.
Survivors include one daughter: Jennifer Scarborough of Paris; two sons: Jackey (Dawn) Sanders of Hampton, Va., and Jason (Susan) Sanders of Paris; one sister: Wanda (Jeff) Muse of Paris; five grandchildren: Bryan Clayton, Secret Scarborough, Dakota Sanders and Tara Scott, all of Paris, and Tyler Sanders of Hampton, Va.
