Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Wednesday at McEvoy Funeral Home with Bro. Charles Cate, New Bethel Church of Christ and Bro. Victor Eskew of East Wood Church of Christ officiating. Burial will follow at Bethesda Cemetery.
Named as pallbearers are: Steve Brown, Keith Brown, Richard Brown, Alex Simmons, T.J. Munn, Gus Maroun, Albert Gandy and Edward Gandy.
Visitation 4:00 until 8:00 PM Tuesday and after 9:00 AM Wednesday.
She was born in Benton County, TN to the late Elijah Wilford and Della Hancock Moody. She was married
to Albert T. Brown, he preceded May 22, 1977.
Survived by daughters: Norma (Bill) Gandy, Nashville, TN, Willo (Brent) Clark, Lexington, TN; sons: John (Rosemary) Brown, Kalamazoo, MI, Donald (Sandra) Brown, Paris, TN, Ronald (Sue) Brown, Paris, TN; grandchildren: Sarah (Gus) Maroun, Janine (Alex) Simmons, Steve (Dawn) Brown, Christy (Darren) Roberson, David (Shawnaree) Brown, Kim (Ernie) Veglio, Albert Gandy, Edward Gandy, Hannah Williams, Whitney (T.J.) Munn; sixteen great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded by sisters: Inez Ellis, Thyra Cox; brothers: Will Moody, Andrew Moody, Elwood Moody, Edward Curd Moody, Hunter Moody; one grandchild and two great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Brown was a member of the East Wood Church of Christ. She was active in Oakland community events.
Helen Himes
Helen May Himes, 73, of Paris died Saturday, Jan. 21, 2012, at Henry County Medical Center.
The body was cremated and no service or visitation was planned. Ridgeway Funeral Home was in charge.
She was a daughter of the late Wade Himes and Sara Beatty Slater and was a member of the local Moose Lodge Auxiliary.
Survivors include one daughter: Tammy McMullen of Florida; two sons: Steve (Mary) McMullen of Missouri and Alan (Tena) McMullen of Fort Wayne, Ind.; one sister: Tina (Frank) Toth of Indiana; one brother: Dan (Beverly) Himes of Indiana; and five grandchildren.
Willa Mae Winsett
Willie Mae Winsett, 88, Paris, died Sunday, Jan. 22, 2012 at her home. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Ridgeway Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Memorial Cemetery.
She was married
on Nov. 5, 1938, to William Sherman “Slick” Winsett, who died June 12, 2008.
She was a member of Fairview Baptist Church and retired after 14 years at Plumley.
Survivors include one daughter: Brenda (Glen) French of Paris; two sons: William Joel “Bud” Winsett and friend Glenda Key of Paris, and Don Randall Winsett of Paris; four grandchildren: Donna (John) Conger of Paris, Lanny French and friend Pam McKenzie of Clarksville, Joel Winsett and friend Cathy Wood of Jeffersonville, Ind., and Misty (Russ) Swinney of Rowlett, Texas; six great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and a caregiver: Linda Clausen of Paris.
Clifford Dean
Clifford Dean, 51, Puryear, died Sunday, Jan. 22, 2012 at the local hospital. A graveside service wa held in New Liberty cemetery Paris Landing.
Ridgeway Funeral Home handled arrangements.
He was a retired carpenter.
He is survived by two sons: Clifford Allen (Katie) Dean Jr. of Murfreesboro and Robert “Bobby” Dean of Dyersburg; three sisters: Shirley (Bob) Starnes, Amy Connor and Lutishia Sisemore, all of Paris; one brother: Leon William Dean of Paris; 12 grandchildren; and a special friend: Marla Driver of Puryear.
Nat Pierce
Nat Pierce, 87, Paris, died Jan. 22, 2012 at the local hospital. A graveside service was held at Millers Chapel cemetery in Dyersburg. Ridgeway Funeral Home was in charge.
His wife, Anita Joy Staats Pierce, survives. They were married
on Oct. 27, 1956.
Pierce retired after 20 years from Coca-Cola in Jackson, Miss. He also worked in data management for Kesterson Food Co. in Paris. He was a member of East Wood Church of Christ, a U.S. Navy veteran and a volunteer with Henry County Medical Center Auxiliary.
Other survivors include one son: Russell (Jill) Pierce of Camp Hill, Pa.; a twin sister: Neima Smith of Dyersburg; two grandchildren: Holly Pierce and David Troutman, both of Camp Hill; and four great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Henry County Healthcare Center, Attention: Patient Activities Fund, 239 Hospital Circle, Paris.
Stephanie Wright
Stephanie Ann Wright, 57, died at her home in Mount Juliet on Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2012. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Ridgeway Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Bevil Cemetery. She was married
on Dec. 3, 1989, to Paul Wright, who survives.
Wright was a member of Temple Baptist Church in Paris and was a former licensed practical nurse at Middle Tennessee Mental Health Institute in Nashville.
Survivors include three sisters: Sherry L. (Jerry) Mustain and Sandra K. Nichols, both of Paris, and Sheila F. (Larry) Jackson of Puryear; two nephews: Chris (Sherry) Mustain and Bryan Hedges, both of Paris; three nieces: Stacha (Jeff) McFarland of Paris, Shannon (Paul) McCampbell of Murfreesboro and Sharla (Robert) Bafia of San Diego; 10 great-nieces and great-nephews; and one great-great-nephew.
Buford Glisson
Former Henry Countian Buford Glisson, 85, of Goose Creek, S.C. died Sunday, Jan. 15, 2012 in Charleston.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Ridgeway Funeral Home. Burial will be in Olive Branch cemetery between Como and Cottage Grove
His wife, Mary Maleria Bennett Glisson, died April 15, 2004.
Glisson was a World War II U.S. Marine Corps veteran and a member of Grace Fellowship Church in Goose Creek.
Survivors include one daughter: Linda (Bob) Harper of Orlando, Fla.; two sons: Tom (Earlene) Glisson of Goose Creek and Walter Dale (Laura) Glisson of Paris; several grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Joe David Haddock
Joe David Haddock, 62, Paris, died Thursday, May 10, 2012, at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville.
Funeral services at Ridgeway Funeral Home are incomplete and will be announced later.
James "Jimmy" Benjamin
Jimmy Benjamin, 69, Paris, died Friday, May 11, 2012, at Paris.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Ridgeway Funeral Home. Burial will be in Shady Grove Cemetery.
Calling is from 4-8 p.m. Sunday and after 9 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Mr. Benjamin was self-employed in construction.
He married
Bonnie Ledlow Benjamin and she survives with five daughters, Judy Stephens, Murfreesboro; Denise Hassell, Tammy Benjamin, and Tracy Benjamin, all of Paris; and Lisa Hardin, Hollow Rock; three sisters, Peggy Bergstrom and Nancy Gilbert, both of Illinois; Alice Shawley, Michigan; three brothers, Donnie, junior and Henry, all of Illinois, plus numerous grand and great-grandchildren.
Rolland Richard Schleiss
Rolland Schleiss, 77, Paris, died Tuesday, May 8, 2012, at his residence.
He moved to Paris in 1976 and owned a construction business here. After retirement, he worked at the local hospital in the maintenance department. He was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church.
He is survived by two daughters, Kim Cooley of Paris; Cyndi Sprull of Paducah; a sister, Joann Rumph, Wisconsin.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Elizabeth Dianne Brewer

She was born in Paris to the late Edward Jewell and Elizabeth Christine Hart Hall. On July 22, 1979 she married
Dale Brewer, he survives in Henry, TN.
Survived by daughters: Megan (Jamey) Coe, Jessi Brewer and a grandson Johnnie Dale Coe all of Paris.
Dianne was a loving mother of two daughters and enjoyed spending time with her grandson. She always shared her passion for being outdoors barefooted, reading and passed on her love for crocheting. She attended church at Union Friendship Baptist Church where she served as pianist. "Nanner" will be truly missed by all that had a chance to be around her.
Roger William Underwood
Roger Underwood, 72, Cottage Grove, died Sunday, May 6, 2012, at his home. Funeral services were held at Ridgeway Funeral Home, with burial at Bird's Creek Cemetery.
He married
Betty Wallace Underwood and she survives with a daughter, Melinda Coleman, McKenzie; two sons, Ron, Cottage Grove; and Roger, Dresden; a sister, Regina Owens, Henry; a brother, Harry Underwood, Paris; and special friend, Cap Watkins.
He was retired from Holly Carburetor plant after 26 years of employment and belongs to Oak Hill Union Church.
