Eric Underwood
Eric Scott Underwood, 41, Paris, died Thursday at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Ridgeway Funeral Home. Calling is at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. Friday, April 13, and Saturday after 10 a.m. Burial will be at Poplar Grove Cemetery, Springville.
Survivors include his wife, Courtney, mother, Carol Barker, Paris; daughter, Ashley Underwood, Paris; son, Rob Underwood, Paris; and brother, Stephen Underwood, McKenzie.
He was a hardwood lumber inspector for Middleton Lumber Co., Puryear.

Johnie Leroy Sutton
Johnie Leroy Sutton, 70, Springville, died Thursday, April 12, 2012, at Jackson Madison Co. General Hospital.
Graveside services will be held at New Hope cemetery in Hollow Rock at 4 p.m. Saturday. Visitation from 2-3:30 p.m. at Ridgeway Funeral Home.
He is survived by his mother, Donie Sawyer Sutton, Springville; step-son, Jimmy Bonds, Ariz.; three sisters, Sue Lambert, Mansfield; Andrea Dickerson, Chandler, Ariz.; and Judy Kretzschmar, Garden City, Ala.
He was a member of the Assembly of God Church, Paris, was a U.S. Army veteran and a former truck driver and welder.

John V. Johnson
John V. Johnson, 74, Palmersville, died Wednesday, April 11, 2012, at Regional Hospital in Jackson.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 18, at Ridgeway Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday and after 10 a.m. Wednesday.
Survivors include his wife, Lora Bell, three daughters, Jean Marie Sharp, Palmersville; Mary Jane Stephenson, Big Sandy; Julia Anna Penninger, S.C.; three sons, Steve Butt, Baker, Fla.; John Johnson, Hermiston, Ore.; Donald Johnson, Palmersville; three sisters, Darlene Poole, Ruby Dreading, and Alice Williams, all of Alabama; two brothers, Billy Fuller and James Floyd Johnson, both of Alabama.
He worked at the Goodyear plant in Union City and was retired from the U.S. Coast Guard after 21 years.

Bueford Blevins
Bueford Blevins, Jr., 69, Springville, died Saturday, April 7, 2012, at his residence.
Graveside services will be held at the Dayton National Military Cemetery, Dayton, Ohio, at 2 p.m. Friday. Local visitation is at Ridgeway Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, April 11.
He married Mary Dickerson Blevins and she survives with two daughters, Denise Thacker, Fort Meade; and Sherri Hawes, Springville; and a brother, Bobby, Bolt, W.Va., and numerous grandchildren.
He was in the U.S. Air Force for several years and worked at the pipeline in Alaska.

Krisley Everskye Willis Evans
Krisley EverSkye Willis Evans, three months old, passed away Thursday April 5, 2012 at her residence. There will be a graveside service Tuesday, April 10, at Bethlehem cemetery in Huntington, with burial to follow.
She was the daughter of Heather Willis and Zach Evans

Virginia Willoughby
Virginia Elizabeth Willoughby, 87, Paris, passed away on Friday, April 6, 2012, at the Paris Health Care Center. Her funeral service will be conducted at McEvoy Funeral Home on Monday, April 9, at 12:00 P.M.
Visitation is scheduled on Sunday from 4:00 until 8:00 P.M. and after 10:00 A.M. on Monday until service time.

Virginia Pierce
Virginia Pierce, 94, Paris, died April 5. Her funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 7, 2012, at Ridgeway Funeral Home. Burial will be at Rose Lawn Mausoleum.
She married George Morris Pierce, who died in 1996.
She was a switchboard operator at Emerson Electric and the phone company in Paris. She was a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, David Pierce of Bartlett, a grandchild, James Pierce of Memphis and two caregivers, Mary Chandler of Springville and Beverly Bomar of Paris.

Larry Flood
Larry Flood, 69, Puryear, died Wednesday. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 7, 2012 at Ridgeway Funeral Home. Burial will be in Bevil Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Friday and after 10 a.m. Saturday.
His wife, Elaine, survives.

Tressie Pennington Grammer
Funeral service 2:00 PM Thursday at the Springville Baptist Church with Bro. Bobby Sanders officiating, burial will follow at the Poplar Grove Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation at Springville Baptist Church beginning at 11:00 AM until time of service Thursday.
She was born in Sommerville, TN to the late Charlie Leander and Pearle Victoria German Pennington. On November 30, 1952 she married Charles Milton Grammer, he preceded November 22, 2000.
Survived by daughter: Diane Renae Brewer, Springville, TN; granddaughter: Melisa McGuire, Big Sandy, TN, she was raised in their home; son: James Milton Grammer, Springville, TN; sister: Mary Elizabeth Hughes, Springville, TN; grandchildren: Charles "Hunter" Medlock, Jimmy Grammer, Heather Marie Grammer, April Victoria Grammer; great-grandchildren: Lauren Leigh Pruitt, Ivy Elizabeth Allen, Brianna Grammer and seven more great-grandchildren.
Preceded by daughter: Terri Lee McGuire, March 18, 1988; son: Charles Rhea "Snooky" Grammer, February 13, 1994; sisters: Velma Scherer, Margaret Nicolosi; brothers: Bethel Pennington, Vernon Pennington, James Earl "Bitsy" Pennington, J.D. Pennington, Clifton Pennington and Rueben Pennington.
Mrs. Grammer was a member of the Springville Baptist Church. She was a caregiver, homemaker and member of W.O.M.

James Holland
He was born in Henry County, TN to the late Fred and Gladys Larue Strothers Holland.
Survived by a daughter Linda Weese and a son Roger Holland both of Taylor, MI; brother: Robert Lee Holland, SanDiego, CA, nephews: Larry (Carol) Parrish, Henry, TN, Doug Holland, Dearborn, MI; nieces: Reba Robins, Camden, TN, Renee Holland Taylor, MI.
Preceded by sisters: Mary Nell Hosford, Martha Earnestine Parrish, brothers: Fred Douglas Holland, William Holland; nephews: Steve Hosford, Bobby Hosford and Ronnie Parrish.
Mr. Holland attended Point Pleasant Baptist Church. He was a member of the Elks Lodge in Michigan, associate member of the Amvets and VFW, attended Vandyke School in Henry County, TN and was a retired truck driver from Cole Trucking Company.

Pauline Lyons
Frances Pauline Lyons, 81, Paris, died Monday, April 2, 2012, at her home. Funeral services will be held at Memorial Park Funeral Home in Memphis at 2:30 p.m. Thursday.
Visitation will be at Ridgeway Funeral Home from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, April 3, and beginning at 12:30 p.m. Thursday at the Memphis funeral home.
She married James Carlyle Lyons, Sr., and he preceded her in death.
Survivors are: three daughters, Frances Linsman, Paris; Barbara Austin, Cordova; Carol Williams, Olive Branch; two sons, James, Bartlett; Freddy, Dallas; two sisters, Birdie Pinner, Benton, Ark.; and Louise Hawks, Barlett.
Locally, she attended Shady Grove Baptist Church, Paris. She was a member of the Eastern Star in Memphis and taught sewing at the Wesley House in Memphis.

Margaret J. Pullen
Margaret Pullen, 77, Paris, died Saturday, March 31, 2012 at Henry County Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 3, at Ridgeway Funeral home. Burial will be in Roselawn Memory Gardens.
Visitation at the funeral home is from 4-8 p.m. Monday and after 10 a.m. Tuesday.
She is survived by her husband, Carlton Pullen. She was a member of the Cottage Grove United Methodist Church and retired from St. Francis Hospital in Memphis.
Survivors include two daughters, Deborah Wilson, Springville; Lisa Adams, Collierville; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be sent to Relay for Life, P.O. Box 1505, Paris; and Caring Hearts Fund, 1290 Kelley Dr., Paris.

Cheri Tanner
Cheri Tanner, 42, Paris, died Wednesday in an ATV fatality in Henry County.
A private service is planned, with burial in the family cemetery in the county. Public visitation is from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, at New Life Baptist Church in Henry.
Survivors are her parents, Larry and Nancy Ainscough of Jones Mill; a daughter, Bethan Parker, two sons, Michael and Eric Champman, a sister, Traci Collins; four brothers, Kevin, Eric, Jeff and Perry Ainscough and four grandchildren.
