Brenda Roseanne Brown
Brenda Brown, 51, Depew, NY, died at her residence on Friday. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 6, 2013 at McEvoy Funeral Home. Burial will be in Bethesda Cemetery.
Her father, William "Warren" Brown of Springville survives, along with an uncle, Paul Brown of Springville; and special friend Norma Brown Steele, Paris, TN
Brenda graduated from St. Mary’s School for the Deaf in Buffalo, NY and worked for Southeast Works in Depew, NY. While Brenda lived with severe hearing and speech difficulty, she always approached life with a positive upbeat non-defeatist attitude. Most significantly she battled pancreatic cancer for the last year, during which time she taught her family and friends what is important in life.
Dickie Brewer
Dickie Brewer, 72, Springville, died Friday, Sept. 20, 2013, at his residence.

She was born in Paris to the late Lawrence Porter and Lillian Pearl Pierce King. On June 24, 1966 she married
Charles Robert Bullen, he preceded June 9, 2011.
Survived by a daughter Cynthia Jill Ball, Paris; son: Charles J. "Joby" Bullen, Nashville; sister: Betty Holcomb, Garland, TX; brothers: Bobby King, Russell Springs, KY, Wayne King, New Port Richey, FL; grandchildren: Racheal Danille Bullen and Christopher McCurdy.
Preceded by a sister in infancy: Joy King; brothers: Dan King, Horace King and Morris King.
Carolyn attended Fairview Baptist Church. She owned and operated Charlie's Quick Mart in Paris for many years, was a semi-retired sitter and she enjoyed spending time with her family.
Betty Herndon
Betty Herndon, age 77, of Paris, Tenn., died Thursday, September 19, 2013, at her Residence in Paris, Tenn. She was married
to John F. Herndon Feb. 20, 1960, and he died Feb 22, 2012.
She was a retired Clerk from Kroger in Paris and a member of Glendale Road Church of Christ in Murray, KY.
She was the daughter of the late Osler E. Hicks and the late Bessie Dinwiddie Hicks.
She is survived by her two daughters, Emily (David) Hopper of Jackson, Tenn., Mary Herndon Duffey of Paris, Tenn., two sons, David Andrew Herndon of Hopkinsville, Ky, John Mark (Patty) Herndon of Paris, Tenn., Grandchildren, Maris Trinity McConell, Chris Powell, Angel Powell, Josh Hopper and Brooke Hopper, and several great grandchildren.

Box 788, Paris, Tenn., Visitation is 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday, September 20, 2013 and after 9:00 AM Saturday, September 21, 2013. Sallie Belle Gaddy
Sallie Belle Gaddy, age 104, of Smyrna, Tenn., formerly of Paris, TN, died Sunday, September 15, 2013, at Tri Star Stone Crest Medical Center in Smyrna, Tenn.
She was Married December 14, 1934 to Marvin O'Neal Gaddy he preceded in death June 8, 1974.
She was a Member of First Baptist Church in Paris, TN and Formerly worked at Salant & Salant in Paris and was a former sitter for many years at the hospital in Paris, TN.
She was the daughter of the late William H. McGee and the late Sallie D. Moore McGee.
She is survived by, three Daughters, JoAnn (Lonnie) Ward of Smyrna, Tenn., Marie (John) Moore of Smyrna, Tenn., and Laura (Doug) Williams of Purcell, Okla., 7 Grandchildren, and 2 Great Grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by, 8 sisters and 3 brothers.

Priscilla "Pris" Lemons

She was born in Murray, KY to the late Herman Edward and Elizabeth Hurt Parrish. On August 20, 1966 she married
Sam Lemons, he survives in Springville, TN.
Survived by a son Patrick (Brandi) Lemons, Dyersburg; brothers: Glenn (Lilabeth) Parrish, Knoxville, Mark (Tanya) Parrish, Kingston Springs; grandchildren: Elizabeth and Thomas Lemons.
Pris was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church in Paris where she had also served as a former Trustee. She served on the Board of Directors of Plus Endowment, was Human Resources Manager at Plumley Rubber, Dana Corp. and was a former school teacher in Knoxville, TN and Sledge, MS. Pris was also a former board member of Helping Hands.

Buddy Shankle

He was born in Henry County to the late Freeman and Ima Shankle.
Survived by a step-daughter: Brenda Paschall, Paris; sons: Richard A. (Belew) Shankle, Cottage Grove, Tommy (Lynda) Shankle, Paris, Jerry (Brenda) Shankle, Cottage Grove; nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren.
Preceded by his wife: Jeanette Doolin Shankle, January 30, 1995 and wife: Willene Brookshire Shankle, December 3, 2009; son: Teddy Shankle, September 2, 1994; sisters: Hazel Kimbel, Elizabeth Lindsey, Marie Coplen; brothers: Frank Shankle and Jack Shankle.
Buddy was a member of the Cottage Grove Baptist Church, a 50 year member of the Marshall Mason Lodge #109 at Cottage Grove and was a retired electrician from TVA.

He was born in Henry County, TN to the late Curtis and Nell Hendrix. On November 1, 1968 he married
Virginia Sturdivant Hendrix, she survives in Paris.
Survived by a son Mike (Karen) Hendrix, Nashville; brother: Wayne (Diane) Hendrix, Cleveland, OH; grandchild: Keri (Ricky) Brookshire and great-grandchildren: Hannah and Jenna Brookshire.
Preceded by a brother: James Hendrix.
Mr. Hendrix attended First Baptist church in Paris where he was a member of the men's bible class. He was an avid fisherman.
Robbie Burton
Robert "Robbie" Burton, 38, LaFayette, Ind., died Friday, Sept. 6, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Ridgeway Funeral Home, with burial at Henry City Cemetery.
He was a former Henry Co. resident and a diesel mechanic.
Survivors include his wife, Lorrie Walls Burton, LaFayette; father James Burton, LaFayette; daughters Tiffany Richards and Brittany Burton, both of LaFayette; brothers Ronnie, Buchanan; Ricky and Randy, both of Puryear; and several grandchildren.
Dale Albert Hanzl
A memorial service will be held at a later date, Bro. Cory Cain of Maplewood Baptist Church will officiate. McEvoy Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
Born in Chicago to the late Albert C. and Alice May Carlson Hanzl. On November 13, 1999 he married
Rebecca Ackerman Hanzl, she survives in Gleason, TN.
Survived by daughters: Daniela Brown, Paris, Conny Brown, Paris; son: Lonnie (Jennifer) Brown, Shelby Forest; grandchildren: Elizabeth Brown, Sophia Alexander; father and mother-in-law: Jerry and Anita Berry, Paris and grandmother-in-law: Rebecca Tarwater, Paris.
Mr. Hanzl was raised in the Methodist Church and gave his life to the Lord in 1999, he attended Maplewood Baptist Church.
He was a 1977 graduate of Gleason High School and graduated from McKenzie Vo Tech as an Industrial Electrician. He worked at McQuay Norris, Calins Industry, Windsor Forestry Tools and last worked for J and J Cupples in Jackson as a Laser Operator.
Friends say that Dale never met a stranger and was loved by all, young and old alike. He loved pets, B movies, Sci-Fi and the History Channel and also was an avid book reader and enjoyed learning about odd things.
