Richard Lamb Dunlap III
Richard Dunlap, 69, Paris, died Friday, June 15, 2012, at Alive Hospice in Nashville.
Graveside services will be held at 4 p.m. June 29 at Paris City Cemetery.
He served as mayor of Paris and was a long-time attorney. He was graduated from Grove High in 1960, received his bachelor's from Vanderbilt and his juris doctorate from Vanderbilt Law School. He attended First Christian Church and was a former board member of Commercial Bank, BPU and First Bank.
Survivors include a daughter Susannah Murphey, Paris; son, Richard Dunlap IV, Nashville; and several grandchildren.
Winston Pillow
Winston Pillow, 95, Paris, died June 19, 2012 at Henry County Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at Birds Creek cemetery at 11 a.m. Thursday. Calling is at Ridgeway Funeral Home from 4-8 p.m. Wednesady and 9-10:30 a.m. Thursday.
He married
Nell Pillow, who survives with a daughter, Traci Pillow, Paris; son, Joe Pillow, Murfreesboro, Tenn., and grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He retired as a heavy equipment supervisor on the interstate crew for Southern Illinois Paving Co. He served as a US Navy Seabee in WWII. He was raised in Whitlock.
Funeral service with full Military Honors will be held at 12:00 Noon Friday at McEvoy Funeral Home with Paul Setlech officiating.
Jewell Melton Jr.

He was born in Paris to the late Jewell B. Melton, Sr. and Velma Burns Melton.
Survived by his wife Nell Melton of Cottage Grove; daughter: Melissa (John) Lipscomb, Atlanta, GA; step-daughter: Fran (Jeff) Jolley, Palmersville; step-sons: David (Amy) Hoskins and Rick (Mary) Hoskins, both of Springville; half-sister: Kathy (Sylvaine) Cooper, Greenfield; half-brother: Brad (Jeannie) Melton, Henry; thirteen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
Preceded by a son: Randy Melton; step-son: John Hoskins and two grandchildren.
Mr. Melton was a member of the National Guard for over 45 years, a member and past officer of the Elks Lodge. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, traveling and spending time with his family.

Carol Powell, 74, Springville, died Friday, June 15, 2012, at Henry County Medical Center.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at McEvoy Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 1-2 p.m. Thursday.
Levada Mohon
Levada Mohon, Paris, died Wednesday, June 13, 2012, at her home. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Ridgeway Funeral Home, with burial at Hillcrest Cemetery.
She was married
to Bill "Riley" Mohon, Jr., and he survives. She worked at Kroger for 30 years and Mohon Internaional for 10 years and was a member of the First Christian Church.
Survivors also include two sons, Steve, Dover, and Dr. Ricky, Johnson City, plus numerous grandchildren.

Lisa Gail Skinner
Lisa Skinner, 39, Puryear, died Monday, June 11, 2012, at Jackson Madison Co. General Hospital, Jackson. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 13, with burial at Memorial Cemetery.
She was married
to Ty Skinner, who services. She was a social worker at the Henry County Advocate for Womens Rape and Domestic Violence Association in paris and received a master's degree in social work. She attended TVCC.
Survivors include her husband, father, Larry Thompson of Puryear, mother Nell Thompson of Puryear; three sisters, Tressa Prince, Springville; Amanda Thompson and Kristi Thompson of Puryear, father and mother0in-law, Ray and Delores Bridges of Gleason and nieces and nephews.
Marion Virginia Herrin Block

She was born in Elgin, IL to the late Edgar and Ruby Herrin.
Survived by a daughter: Lori Jean Thomas and fiance' James Brown, Ocean Springs, MS; son: Steven Block, Gulfport, MS; sister: Jean Herrin, Paris, TN; uncle: Carl G. Helman, Portage, MI and several cousins and friends.
Ms. Block had been a resident of the Gulf Coast since 1954 and had worked at Wal-mart on Hwy 49 in Gulfport for approximately 20 years.
Mary Will Cavitt Gardner

Mary Will Cavitt Gardner, 101, died over the weekend at her residence. Mrs. Gardner was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar, whom she met while he was a soldier at the former WWII barrage balloon training facility Camp Tyson in Routon.
Gardner was a long-time educator in Henry County and a devoted member of Quinn Chapel AME Church.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at Trinity Funeral Home.

He is survived by his wife, Mildred.

Robbie Parks
Robbie Parks, 76, Paris, died May 31, 2012, at Plumley Rehab in Paris.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Trinity Funeral Home. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
She was born March 9, 1936, in Paris, to the late Ezell and Nova Dumas Howard. She was educated in the Paris Schools and later relocated to Chicago. She returned to Paris and was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
She married
the late LeRoy Parks. Survivors include two sons, Michael and Patric Parks, seven grandchildren and several other relatives.
