Hattie Mae Douglas
Hattie Mae Douglas, age 94, of Paris, Tenn., died Monday, December 22, 2014, at her residence in Paris, Tenn.
She was married
to William Glen Douglas March 17, 1936 and he preceded in death September 25, 1995.
She was a member of Temple Baptist Church and retired from Holley Carburetor Plant after 35 years as a Floor Board Manager. She enjoyed time with her family, cooking and quilt making.
She was born June 18, 1920 in Huntingdon, TN to the late Sidney Wallace Johnson and the late Nettie Delia Oatsvall Johnson.
She is survived by her Three Daughters, Glenda Boyd of Paris, Tenn, Elwanda Hutson of Paris, Tenn, Sidney (Sam) Lechleiter of Franklin, Tenn; Three Grandchildren, Damon (Ginger) Lowe of Paris, TN, Drs. Russell (Amy) Boyd of Paris, TN, Gabe Lechleiter of Franklin, TN; Two Great Grandchildren, Mary Peyton Boyd and Alex Boyd of Paris, TN; 2 Step Grandchildren, 4 Step Great Grandchildren, and 10 Step Great Great Grandchildren.
Besides her husband and parents, Hattie Mae was also preceded in death by 1 Sister, 7 Brothers, and a grandson, Bryan Douglas Boyd.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St., Paris, Tenn., where the visitation will be from 10 am – 1 pm Friday, December 26, 2014. The Funeral Service will be at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home at 1:00 pm Friday, December 26, 2014.
Dr. Mike Burney will officiate. Pallbearers will be Damon Loew, Russell Boyd, Alex Boyd, Sam Lechleiter, Gabe Lechleiter, and Monte Belew.
Interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Paris, Tenn.

Doris Clement
Doris Clement, age 73, of Paris, Tenn., died Tuesday, December 23, 2014, at St. Thomas West Hospital in Nashville, Tenn.
She was married
to James E. Clement in 1972 and he survives. She was a member of Jesus Saves Baptist Church and was a retired CNA from the Henry County Nursing Home.
She born May 23, 1941 in Atwood, TN to the late Otis Smith and the late Winnie Patterson Smith.
Besides her husband, she is also survived by her One Daughter, Dawn (Matthew) Clement Cornies of Memphis, Tenn; One Son, Ronnie (Cheryl) Clement of Plainfield, Ill; One Sister, Irene Lamb of Paris, Tenn; Two Brothers, Billy (Betty) Smith of Puryear, Tenn, Johnny (Evelyn) Smith of Paris, Tenn; Grandchildren, Kayla Mims, Zachary Clement, Justin Clement, Mark Mazur, and paula Mazur; Great Grandchildren, Rylie, Xyer, and Autumn Mims; Many Special Nieces and Nephews and her Beloved Pug, Bud.
She was also preceded in death by a Sister, Elizabeth Snow; and Brothers, O.C. Smith and Leon Smith.

Hughes Bennett
Hughes Bennett left his home NW of Puryear, TN surrounded by loved ones and joined his son Kyle Duncan Bennett (1964 -1980) in heaven December 21, 2014.
He was born Dec. 2, 1941 in Springville, TN to Jessie and Moline Thorne Bennett.
He was a graduate of Hazel High School class of 1960 and soon after began working at General Tire in Mayfield, KY until he retired in 1997, where he was a proud member of URW Local 655 union. He was a member of Hazel Baptist Church and WOW camp 138. He was a charter member of the Hazel Lions Club and served as president 2005 - 2014. He was named Lion of the year 2009-2010 and received the Melvin Jones Fellow award for dedicated humanitarian services in 2008. This award reflected his limitless compassion and love that he gave so generously to everyone. His eagerness to give of his time and help others included longtime support of the Hazel Woman's Club and extended to the end as he participated in research at Vanderbilt Medical Center that they might gain knowledge to help future AML patients. He loved traveling, Nascar, motorcycles, MSU basketball, farming and his animals, especially "his girls" Fance'e and Lace'e the pampered poodles.
In addition to his son Kyle he was preceded in death by his father Jessie and brothers, Leroy Bennett and Ronald Allen Bennett.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years Hilda Duncan Bennett, special son Steve (Tammy) Smith of Commerce, GA. He was "Pappa Hughes" to their children Ithyn, Halley and Madison, Also surviving are his mother Moline Bennett of Hazel, Ky; brother Paul Bennett and Special Friend Glenda Hill of Murray, Ky; sisters Ruth(Dave) Belcher of Benton, Ky, and Brenda (Glen) Maley of S. C.; Brothers-in-law, Danny Duncan of Ohio and Tommy (Susan) Duncan of California; and sisters-in-law, Linda D. Bennett and Nancy D. Moore of Puryear, TN and Anita (Jan) Howell of Dover, TN; 24 nieces and nephews and several great nieces and. nephews including Hailey Bennett and Duncan Bennett, his traveling buddy of Puryear, TN.
Chosen as pallbearers are Halley Smith, Madison Smith, Duncan Bennett, Trevor Bennett, Troy Bennett, Phil Liddle and Gerald Ray.
Visitation will be 4 – 8 pm Monday December 22 at Ridgeway Funeral Home and after 11:00 Tuesday December 23 at Hazel Baptist Church with services to follow at 1:00 at the church. Kerry Lambert and Tim Cole will officiate.
Burial will follow in Oak Grove cemetery .

Kenneth Barrett
Kenneth Barrett, age 56 of Puryear, died Wednesday Dec. 17th at Henry County Healthcare Center.
Visitation will be 4-7pm on Friday 19th and after Noon on Saturday Dec. 20th. Funeral will be at 2pm Saturday Dec. 20th at McEvoy Funeral home. Burial will be in Foundry Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
Gene Anderson
Gene Anderson, age 85, of Paris, Tenn., died Monday, December 15, 2014, at Morningside of Paris.
He was married
June 6, 1948 to Aileen Whitehead Anderson and she survives.
Gene was a member of First Baptist Church and the Friendship Sunday School Class. He began his work career at Moore's Grocery in Paris. He retired after 40 years in the Banking Industry. Gene started at Commercial Bank in 1954 and retired from Union Planters in 1994. He was a member of Paris Kiwanis Club and was a volunteer worker at Helping Hands. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, wood working, and yard work and had served in the Tennessee State Guard.
Gene was born May 16, 1929 in Paris, TN to the late Thomas Jarrett Anderson and the late Lillian Hart Anderson.
Besides his wife, Gene is also survived by his Two Daughters, Pat (Danny) Nelson of Paris, Tenn, Pam (Bob) Moultrie of Paris, Tenn; Four Grandchildren, Bryan (Ellie) Nelson, Natalie (Brad) Skipper, Lydia Moultrie, and Spencer Moultrie; Three Great Grandchildren, Mary Evelyn Nelson, Margo Nelson, and Asher Nelson.
Besides his parents, Gene was also preceded in death by Three Sisters, Lucille Harding, and twins Mildred Marie Anderson and Margaret Davis; Three Brothers, Douglas Anderson, John Anderson, and Robert Edward Anderson.

Neil Bennett
Neil Bennett, age 76, of Paris, Tenn., died Thursday, December 11, 2014, at Henry County Medical Center in Paris, Tenn.
He was a Baptist and a retired welder in Chicago, IL. He also enjoyed fishing.
He was born January 26, 1938 in Como, TN to the late Wesley Bennett and the late Avis Peel Bennett.
He is survived by his One Daughter, Michelle (Brian) Crosno of Paris, Tenn; Two Sons, James (Paulette) Bennett of Burbank, Ill, Kenneth (Linda) Bennett of Lindstrom, Minn; One Sister, Doris Dunlap of Nashville, Tenn; One Brother, Thurman (Dean) Bennett of Como, Tenn; Five Grandchildren, Juston Bennett, Amanda Bennett, Victoria Bennett, Quinten Bennett, and Alyvia Crosno; And he was a loving Uncle to Many Nieces and Nephews.
Besides his parents, Neil was also preceded in death by Sisters, Mazelle Lamb, and Hilda Paul; and Brothers, Ray Bennett, Carl Bennett and Daryl Wayne Bennett.

Letitia "Tish" Covington
Letitia Tish Watson Covington, age 97 of Paris, died Sunday Dec. 14th at HCMC.
Visitation will be 4-7pm Tuesday Dec. 16th and after 1pm Wed. Dec. 17th at McEvoy Funeral home. Funeral will be at 2pm Wed. Dec. 17th with burial to follow at Hillcrest Memoiral Park.
Mrs. Covington was a longtime member of First Presbyterian Church in Paris where she was a member of the Marthas, the Morning Circle, was a former Vacation Bible School teacher, Sunday School teacher, adn youth leader. Tish was a loving mother and grandmother and always did for others before herself.
