Denny Merritt
Ralph Denny Merritt, age 75, of Paris, Tenn., died Friday, March 28, 2014, at Select Specialty Hospital in Nashville, Tenn.
He was married
in 1961 to Sandra "Sandi" Mears Merritt, and she survives. Denny retired as a carrier lineman for General Telephone. He served in U.S. Marines and was a former member of the Elks Lodge.
Denny was born November 10, 1938 in Palo Alto, CA to the late Ned Merritt and the late Eula Bickerstaff Merritt.
He is also survived by his Daughter, Heather (Jeff) Bradley of Paris, Tenn; Son, Jon Christopher Merritt of Paris, Tenn; Two Brothers, Lucky (Brenda) Merritt of Bardstown, Ky, Skeeter Merritt of Bardstown, Ky; 9 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Shannon Lee Robinson.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St., Paris, Tenn.
The body is to be cremated with a Family service to be held at a later date.

Sue Byan
Suzanne Marie “Sue” Bindell Byan, age 95, of Paris, Tenn., died Wednesday, March 26, 2014, at Henry County Medical Center in Paris, Tenn.
Sue married
John Byan September 27, 1941 and he preceded in death March 14, 1993. She was Catholic and worked as a clerk in Chicago at Woolworth's as well as other stores.
She is survived by her care giver, Jody (Ray) Taylor of Springville, TN
Sue was also preceded in death by her parents and 2 sisters and 4 brothers
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St., Paris, Tenn., where visitation will be from 1 to 2 pm Saturday, March 29, 2014.
The Funeral service will be at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home at 2:00 PM Saturday, March 29, 2014.
Brian Wimberley will officiate.
Interment will follow in Antioch cemetery in Springville, Tenn.
Carl Lee Johnson
Carl Lee Johnson, 42, of Paris died March 23rd at Jackson Madison General Hospital.
Carl served in the military from 1991 to 1993. He loved sports, music, friends and family.
Visitation will be after 12pm Saturday March 29th. Funeral will be at 2pm Saturday March 29th at McEvoy Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
Michael Hendley, Jr.
Michael Wayne Hendley Jr., age 31 of Paris, died January 24, 2014 near Springville, TN.
He was born August 12, 1982 in Hempstead, TX to Michael Dan Hendley of Springville, TN and Cheryl Goldsberry Hendley of Paris, TN.
Michael is also survived by two sisters, Amber (Joey) Thomas of Henderson, KY and Rachel Hendley of Aurora, KY; grandfather, Gerald Wayne Goldsberry & Special Friend Ann Burr of Paris, TN; 2 Nieces and 4 Nephews.
He was a member of New Harmony Baptist Church and worked as a sandblaster for Tank Lining Company in Paris, TN.
Micheal was cremated with a private memorial service to be held at a later date.
Ronald England
Ronald "Ron" England, age 56, of Cottage Grove died on Sunday March 23rd.
Visitation will be at McEvoy Funeral home on Wednesday March 26th from 3-5pm. He will be creamated.
Claudine Thompson Burton
Claudine Thompson Burton, age 91, of Paris, died Monday March 24th at Paris Health Care Center.
Claudine taught school in Henry County for 38 years. She was a member of the TN Education Association, NEA, and PHC Retired Teachers Association.
Funeral service will be at 2pm on Wednesday March 26th, with visitation starting at Noon Wednesday. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Fines Hillard
Fines Edward Hillard, age 63, of Buchanan, Tenn., died Monday, March 24, 2014, at St. Thomas West Hospital in Nashville, Tenn.
He was married
November 3, 1978 to Donna Collier Hillard, and she survives.
He was a member West Paris Baptist Church and Owner-Operator of Kentucky Lake Marine Service.
He was born December 4, 1950 in Paris, TN to the late Alva Edward Hillard and the late Venie Melvie Evitts Hillard.
Besides his wife, he is also survived by his Three Sons, Dustin Edward Hillard of Paris, Tenn, Jessie (Tiffany) Pewitt of McKenzie, Tenn, Justin (Paula) Pewitt of McKenzie, Tenn; Two Sisters, Julia "Judy" Hillard of Paris, Tenn, Mary Lee Washam of Springville, Tenn; One Brother, Alvie Bailey "Buddy" (Judy) Hillard of Springville, Tenn; 8 Grandchildren, 2 Great Grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, Tenn., where visitation will be from 4 to 7 pm Tuesday, March 25, 2014 and after 10 am Wednesday, March 26, 2014 until the Funeral Service at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home at 11:00 am Wednesday, March 26, 2014.

Pallbearers will be: Gary Russell, Jeff Spence, Donnie Hutson, Bryan Stephens, Mike Mann, Kerry Collins. Honorary pallbearers will be, Mike McKay and Clint Lester.

Carl Lee Johnson, age 42 of Paris passed away on Saturday March 23 at the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.

Danny Cheek
Joe Daniel “Danny” Creek, age 60 of Paris, died Saturday, March 22 at his residence.
Cheek was a U.S. Army National Guard veteran who served five tours of duty overseas. He retired as Sergeant First Class after over 30 years of service.
Cheek is preceded in death by his parents William Gibson Cheek and Mattie Lee VanCleave Cheek, and his brother-in-law Jim Wiggins.
He is survived by his former wife Becky Cuthbertson Cheek of Springville, Tenn.; daughter Rachel (Scott) Wells of Nashville; son Jason Cheek of Paris; sisters Rosie (Jerry) Atkins of Jonesboro, Ga., Marcia (Jimmy) Clendenin of Paris, and May Wiggins of Clarksville; and brother Keith (Cindi) Cheek of Springville, Tenn.
Visitation for Cheek will be held Tuesday, March 25 from 4 to 7 PM and at 9 AM Wednesday, March 26 at McEvoy Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be conducted at McEvoy Funeral Home at 11 AM Wednesday, March 26 with burial to follow in Wright Cemetery.

Charles W. Bennett, age 83 of Paris, died Saturday, March 22.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
He was born in Whitlock, TN to the late Alex and Bertha Steele Bennett. On August 17, 1981 he married
Faye Arnold Bennett, she survives in Paris.
Survived by a daughter: Julie Bennett, Memphis; step-daughters: Diana (BZ) French, Paris, Christie (Alan) Nichols, Paris; step-grandchildren: Jason Booth, Tara (Billy) Ward, Ethan and Lucas Nichols.
Charles was a Baptist by faith and formerly attended Oak Hill Union Church.
Jean Foust
Evelyn Jean (Ross) Foust, age 80, of McKenzie, Tenn, died Friday, March 21, at her residence in McKenzie, Tenn.
She was married
to Billy June Foust, who preceded her in death Jan. 27, 1989.
Foust was a member of St. Luke Presbyterian Church in Madison, TN and former owner & operator of Jean's Ceramics & Gifts in McKenzie, TN.
She was born November 17, 1933 in Greenfield, TN to the late James Howard Ross and the late Mary “Maggie” Maynard Ross.
She is survived by her two daughters, Lesa Foust of McKenzie, Tenn., Derrinda (Randy) Thomas of McKenzie, Tenn; and two grandchildren.
Jean was also preceded in death by sisters Lula Sherwood and Grace Warren.
