Myree Smith Cox
Myree Smith Cox, age 88, of Paris, Tenn., died May 2, 2015, in Paris, Tenn.
Myree was born December 1, 1926, in Henry County, Tennessee to Earley F. Smith and Jannie Williams Smith, both preceded in death.
Visitation will be Tuesday, May 5th, from 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. at McEvoy Funeral Home. The funeral will take place Tuesday, May 5th at 2:00 p.m. Dr. Rob Martin of First United Methodist Church will officiate.
Pallbearers will be David Parks, Ricky Parks, Larry Parks, Andy Jackson, Adam Jackson and Emory Bradley. Honorary are Glen Jackson, Gordon Owen, Jeff Tucker, and Charlie Bumpus.
She married Aubrey J. Cox on December 11, 1946 and he preceded her in death on August 22, 2013.
Myree was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church. She worked with Holley Carburetor for 29 years and worked in the office of Holley Credit Union when it first organized and was located in the Carburetor factory. Myree enjoyed traveling and was a lifetime member of the Fish Fry Sams Camping Club.
She was also preceded in death by a sister, Verdell Burnette and two brothers, Elroy Smith and Herlon Smith.
She is also survived by a sister, Earlene(Charles L.) Green of Paris and a sister-in-law, Geraldine Smith, of Paris. As well as nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Terry B. Tharpe
Terry B. Tharpe, age 88, of Paris, Tenn., passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at Henry County Medical Center in Paris.
He was born September 19, 1926 in Mansfield, Tenn., to Tom and Viola E. Tharpe, both deceased. He was also proceeded in death by a son, Joseph Teague, 3 sisters and 4 brothers. He was educated in the Henry County Schools and was self-employed.
He is survived by his wife, Bobbie Stephens Tharpe, step-sons, Kenneth and Reginald Guyton, daughters, Barbara Tharpe and Betty Grisby, of Illinois, 3 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild, brother, Jettie (NamSon) Tharpe and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was a member of Sparks Street Church of Christ.
Visitation will be Saturday, 11 a.m. to 1:oo p.m. with funeral to follow at Sparks Street Church of Christ. Brother Edward Howard, Eulogist.
Burial in Greenwood Cemetary.
Trinity Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

James Clements
James Day Clements, age 84 of Puryear, died Tuesday April 28th at his residence.
James worked for General Motors, Fisher Body Fleetwood in Michigan with over 37 years of service. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, Lifetime DAV member, Amvets and American Legion member.
Memorials may be made to DAV or Caring Hearts, 1290 Kelley Drive, Paris, TN 38242.
Visitation will be Thursday April 30th 4-8pm and after 9am until service time at 11am on Friday May 1 at McEvoy Funeral home. Burial will follow in the Olive Branch Cemetery.

Carter Oliver
Funeral service 2:00PM Wednesday at McEvoy Funeral Home with Bro. Randy Stephens of Sulphur Well Church of Christ officiating, burial will follow at Mount Zion Church of Christ cemetery in Buchanan.
Named as pallbearers are Joe Carter Oliver, Terry Oliver, Lawrence Jackson, Donnie Oliver, Gary Elkins and Paul Henry McDaniel.
Visitation 4:00 - 7:00PM Tuesday and after 1:00PM Wednesday.
He was the son of the late James Lilburn Oliver, Sr. and Clara Hays Oliver. On December 16, 1949 he married Moretta Herndon Oliver, she survives in Paris.
Survived by a brother: Robert Earl (Betty) Oliver, Paris; nieces: Connie Bell, Robin Herndon, Debbie Elkins, Anita Michael; nephews: Donald Earl Oliver, Lawrence Allen Jackson; great and great-great nieces and nephews.
Preceded by a sister: Helen Oliver; brother: James L. Oliver, Jr. in WWII and a nephew: William Earl Jackson.
Mr. Oliver was a 1934 graduate of Buchanan High School then attended Tolers Business College. In 1937 he worked at his uncle’s service station in Nashville, in 1940 went to work for TVA in Charlotte, North Carolina until he was inducted into the U.S. Army in 1941. Carter served for 4 years in many places including Algiers and Fedala, North Africa; Licata, Sicily; Salerno, Italy; Cavaliere, Southern France; Anzio, Mount Cassino and Milan, Italy; Stuttgart, Germany; and Innsbruck, Austria. Returning home in 1947 Carter bought a convenience store located in the Sally Lanes building. In 1944 Carter attended Lexington University in KY in order to teach a course in Veterans farm training in Henry County. He also worked with the TN Gas Transmission Company in Kentucky, Indiana, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. Upon returning home again Carter bought the house on Shady Grove Rd. where he and his wife have lived for almost 30 years. He worked in Henry County as a U.S. Mail Carrier, Carpenter and Farmer and was a member of the Bethlehem Church of Christ.
Memorials may be made to: Sulphur Well Church of Christ Scholarship Fund, Sulphur Well Church of Christ Food Bank or Mt. Zion Church of Christ cemetery Fund c/o: Mackie Gallimore.

Edna Owens Snow Keel
Edna Ownens Snow Keel, age 96, of Paris, Tenn., died Friday, April 24, 2015, at Morningside of Paris.
Edna married Dumas Snow on August 28, 1943 and he preceeded her in death on February 13, 1975. She married James Keel on September 17, 1993 and he preceeded her in death on July 3, 2000.
She was also preceeded in death by six sisters, Annie Stubblefield, Mina Conors, Esther McDowell, Lula Campbell, Helen Jackson and Ruthie Cole. D.B. and Carl Owens, both of her brothers, also preceeded her in death.
Edna was born on July 18, 1918 in Buchanan, Tenn., to Ed Owens and Laura Winchester Owens, both preceeded her in death.
She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews, including local nieces: Martha (Kent) Jackson, Sue (Ron) Brown, Carolyn Stamps, and Connie (Elwood) Maxwell. She is also survived by a step-daughter, June Keel.
Mrs. Keel retired from Sears & Roebuck Company. She was a member of Decatur Trinity Christian Church in Memphis, TN. and also a member of Eastern Star.
Arrangements are being handled by McEvoy Funeral Home. Visitation will be 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 26, 2015 prior to the service. Funeral services will be Sunday, April 26, 2015 at 2:00 p.m.
Her nephew Dale Hamilton will officiate. Pallbearers are Dale Hamilton, Dan Jackson, Mike Jackson, David Brown, David Sullivan and Ernie Veglio.
Edna will be buried in Maplewood Cemetary beside her first husband, Mr. Dumas Snow.

Ellen Louder
Ellen Esther Louder, age 71, of Springville, Tenn., died Sunday, April 19, 2015, at her residence in Springville, Tenn.
Ellen married Harvey D. Louder October 27, 1962 and he survives. She was employed by Wal-Mart for almost 15 years as a Pharmacy Tech. She enjoyed the Beach and the Sun and her Grandchildren.
She was born September 30, 1943 in Chicago, IL to the late John Panozzo and the late Esther Kardols Panozzo.
Besides her husband Harvey, she is also survived by her Three Sons, Blaine Louder of Darien, Ill, Ronald (Kathy) Louder of New Lenox, Ill, Brian (Mary-Cay) Louder of Countryside, Ill; Grandchildren, Stephanie Louder, Brandon Louder, Cody Louder, Virginia Louder, and John Louder; and Great Grandchild, Morgan Louder.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St., Paris, Tenn., where the visitation will be from 4 – 7 pm Tuesday, April 21, 2015. The Funeral Service will be at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home at 7:00 pm Tuesday, April 21, 2015.
Chad Kennedy will officiate. Burial will be in Chicago, IL.

Janette Ealey McDaniel
Janette Ealey McDaniel, age 88, of Paris, Tenn., died Saturday, April 18, 2015, at Paris Healthcare Center in Paris, Tenn.
Janette married Earl McDaniel, May 23, 1942 and he preceeded her in death on January 2, 2014. She was also preceeded in death by both her parents, Willard Ealey and Addie Priddy Ealey, and a sister and brother, Geneva Ealey and Dewey Ealey.
She was born October 2, 1926 in Henry County, Tenn. Mrs. McDaniel was a member of Sulpher Well Church of Christ where she enjoyed gospel singing and encouraged Christian education. She was employed at Golden Peacock, Mitchum Co., and Holly Carburetor. She enjoyed her role as a mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
She is survived by a daughter, Patsy (Steve) Blount of Paris, Tenn. and a son Charles (Sandra) McDaniel, also of Paris. A sister, Carlene Ealey of Memphis, Tenn. and her grandchildren, Jason (Alex) McDaniel and Callie Marie Blount, both of Paris, Tenn., and Ryan Allen (Kristin) Blount of Clarksville, Tenn. Great-grandchildren Kinsey Mae Blount, Khloe Lyn Blount, William Jason McDaniel, and Knox Benton Blount.
Arrangements are being handled by McEvoy Funeral Home, visitation will be 5 - 7 p.m. Sunday, April 19, 2015 and after 12:00 Noon Monday. The funeral service will be held at McEvoy Funeral Home on Monday, April 20, 2015 at 2 p.m.
Randy Stephens of Sulphur Well Church of Christ and John Dale will officiate. Pallbeares will be Charles and Jason McDaniel, Steve and Ryan Blount, Bobby King, Dewey Ealey and Buddy Forsythe.
Interment will be at Hansel Cemetary in Paris, Tenn.
Memorials may be made to: Sulphur Well Church of Christ Scholarship Fund, 1760 Oak Grove Road South, Springville, TN, 38256.

Frances Brown Linsman
Frances Brown Linsman, age 95, of Paris, Tenn., died Friday, April 17, 2015, at Murray Calloway Co. Hospital in Murray, Ky.
Frances married James Paul Linsman October 18, 1941 and he preceded in death July 19, 2007. She graduated from Buchanan School. She was a member of Bethlehem Church of Christ and was a Sunday School Teacher for many years at both Bethlehem and Mt. Zion Church of Christ. She worked as a homemaker, a farmer's wife and helpmate to her husband all of her life. She loved to sew, quilt and read and was an excellent cook.
Frances was born April 1, 1920 in Puryear, TN to the late Albert L. Brown and the late Nola Jackson Brown.
She is survived by her One Daughter, Paulette (Ed) Kent of Puryear, Tenn; Grandchildren, Lisa (Craig) Wueller, Chad (Laura) Drummond, Jeff (Melissa) Gallimore, Mitch (Sandra) Gallimore, Sean (Mitzi) Kent, Eric Kent, and Kevin (Gabriela) Kent; 14 Great Grandchildren; 1 Great Great Grandchild; and Special Care Givers, Martha Foster, Cathy Robinson, and Tressa Prince.
Besides her Husband and Parents, Frances was also preceded in death by Daughters, Janet Gallimore and Kathryn Drummond; and Brother, Bonnie L. Brown.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St., Paris, Tenn., where the visitation will be from 4 – 8 pm Sunday, April 19, 2015 and from 11 am – 2 pm Monday, April 20, 2015. The Funeral Service will be at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home at 2:00 PM Monday, April 20, 2015.
Porter King and Jim Lowrie will officiate. Pallbearers will be Sean Kent, Eric Kent, Jeff Gallimore, Mitch Gallimore, Chad Drummond, and Seth Kent. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ben Gallimore, John Tyler Gallimore, Kevin Kent, and Christopher Weaver.
Interment will be at Mt. Zion cemetery near Buchanan, Tenn.
