Kay Wimberly
Funeral service 2:00PM Saturday January 10, 2015 at Point Pleasant Baptist Church with Bro. Larry Dukes officiating, burial will follow at Memorial Cemetery.
Family members will serve as pallbearers, nursery workers of Point Pleasant Baptist Church will serve as honorary pallbearers. Visitation 4:00 - 7:00PM Friday at McEvoy Funeral Home, after 1:00PM Saturday at Point Pleasant Baptist Church.
She was born in Henry County to the late David Milburn and Myra Ruth Smith Wimberley.
Survived by a daughter: Amanda Lauritzen, Henry; sisters: Vera Wimberley, Paris, Mary Jo (Carl) Glenn, Jackson; brothers: Danny (Deborah) Wimberley, Jackson, Jim (Kathy) Wimberley, Eminence, KY; grandchildren: Chanceton Wimberley, Kathryne Lauritzen; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Preceded by a nephew: David Wimberley.
Kay was a long time member of Point Pleasant Baptist Church where she was active as a nursery school teacher. She taught school in the Paris Special School District for over 37 years. A close family member said that Kay requested anyone attending her service to wear something red.

Warren Sykes
Warren Thompson Sykes, age 81, of Puryear, Tenn., died Tuesday, January 6, 2015, at Henry County Medical Center in Paris, Tenn.
Warren married January 27, 1951 to Dorothy Love "Granny" Key Sykes and she preceded in death February 11, 2008.
He was a member of Mansfield Baptist Church. He was Ordained as a minister in 1961 and served as Pastor for Mt. Sinai Baptist Church, Springhill Baptist Church, Central Point Baptist Church, then served as Interim for several area churches.
He was the son of the late Henry Sykes and the late Jennie (Key) Sykes.
He is also survived by his one daughter, Susan (Jerry) Lee of Paris, Tenn. one son, Mitchell (Renee') Sykes of Puryear, Tenn. one brother Tony (Dee) Sykes of Columbia, Tenn.
Grandchildren: Tabitha (Mark) McWherter of Paris, TN, Matthew (Stephanie) Sykes of Paris, TN, Mason (Katrina) Sykes of Puryear, TN
Great Grandchildren-Philip Myrick, Olivia Sykes, Maddie Sykes & Ryker Sykes; Nephew-Brian (Gala) Sykes of Puryear, TN, Great Nephew-Hayden Sykes & Niece-Amanda (Matt) Jackson of Puryear, TN

Box 788, Paris, Tenn., where the family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, January 7, 2015 and from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM Thursday, January 8, 2015. The Funeral service will be at LeDon Chapel Ridgeway Funeral Home at 11:00 AM Thursday, January 8, 2015, with his Son-in-law, Jerry M. Lee & Glynn Orr officiating.
Interment will be at Puryear City cemetery in Puryear, Tenn.

Carol Lee
Carol June (Bivens) Lee, age 76, of Springville, Tenn., died Saturday, January 3, 2015, at McKenzie Regional Hospital in McKenzie, Tenn.
Carol was married to James Harold Lee and he preceded in death Feb. 8, 2003. She was Catholic and enjoyed Crocheting.
She was the daughter of the late Alfred Bivens and the late Zelma (Decker) Bivens.
She is survived by her two daughters, Ann Beasley of Ocala, Fla., and Christine Robinson of Belen, NM
Four Sons, Rick (Tammy) Lee of Paris, Tenn., Randy Lee of Springville, Tenn., Patrick Lee of Rio Rancho, NM & Jay (Emily) Lee of Rio Rancho, NM. Two Sisters, Beverly Hays of Florida and Kathy Bivens of Galesburg, Ill., two brothers, Jim (Sandy) Bivens of Milan, Ill., and Bill Bivens of Galesburg, Ill.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St. - P.O. Box 788, Paris, Tenn., where the family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM Thursday, January 8, 2015. Funeral service will be at LeDon Chapel Ridgeway Funeral Home at 6:00 PM Thursday, January 8, 2015, with Brian Wimberley officiating. Cremation to follow the service

Dr. Paul Mobley
Dr. Paul Mobley, Jr., age 92, of Mebane, NC formerly of Paris, passed away Sunday, January 4, 2015 at his residence.
Visitation will be at McEvoy Funeral Home on Saturday, January 17, 2015 from 3:00PM-6:00PM with a family burial Sunday, January 18, 2015 at 2:00PM at
Rose Lawn Memory Garden. A memorial service will be held at 5:00PM Sunday, January 18, 2015 at First United Methodist Church in Paris, TN with Dr. Rob Martin officiating.

Margaret Powell
Mary Margaret Pillow Powell, age 76, of Springville, Tenn., died Saturday, January 3, 2015, at her Residence in Springville, Tenn.
She was married to James Howard "Jimmy" Powell, Sr., Nov. 28, 1957 and he survives.
She was a member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church. She formerly worked at the Rhea Clinic and Henry County Orthopedics and she last worked at Henry County Medical Clinic before her health did not allow her to work.
She was born January 1, 1939 in Paris, TN to the late Sam Walker Pillow and the late Mary Lucille Shell Pillow.
Besides her husband Jimmy, She is also survived by her One Daughter, Ellen (Kenneth) Tidwell of Murray, Ky; Two Sons, Howard (Kristy) Powell Jr. of Cottage Grove, Tenn., David Walker (Michelle) Powell of Paris, Tenn; One Brother, Thomas Wright Pillow of Collierville, Tenn; Sister-in-law, Carolyn Pillow of Huntington, TN; Grandchildren, Jason (Jaime) Tidwell, Justin (Tabbatha) Tidwell, Daniel James Powell, Morgan Mann, Samantha Powell (Josh) Warbritton, Benjamin Tidwell and friend Lauren Leavell, Lindsay Mann and friend Dustin Odom; Great Grandchildren, Lofton Pigg, Brodie Warbritton, Avri Odom, Casey, Keaton, Addyson, Aaliyah and Athena Tidwell; And Several Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins.
Margaret was also preceded in death by a Brother, Sammy Dial Pillow, and a Great Grandchild, Bentley Warbritton.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St., Paris, Tenn., where the visitation will be from from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM Monday, January 5, 2015. The Funeral Service will be at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home at 7:00 PM Monday, January 5, 2015.
James Smith will officiate. Honorary pallbearers will be Jason, Justin, Benjamin, Casey, and Keaton Tidwell, Daniel Powell, Josh Warbritton, and Lofton Pigg.
Cremation will follow the service.

Shirley Jean Smith
Shirley Jean Smith, age 75, of Paris, Tenn., died Tuesday, December 30, 2014, at St. Thomas West Hospital in Nashville, Tenn.
She was married to William Eugene Smith January 19, 1962 and he preceded in death January 26, 1985.
She was a member of Birds Creek Baptist Church and the VFW Ladies Auxillary. She formerly worked at Salant & Salant and Holley Carburetor Plant.
Shirley was born August 2, 1939 in Sulphur Springs, TN to the late Bobby Surles and the late Doris Norvall Surles.
She is survived by her One Daughter, Diane Parrish of Paris, Tenn; Three Sons, Barry Smith of Paris, Tenn, Bobby Smith of Lafayette, La, Steve (Flossie) Smith of Puryear, Tenn; One Sister, Sandra Richardson of Paris, Tenn; Two Brothers, Bobby Leon Surles of Evening Shade, Ark, Otto Surles of Bells, Tenn; Seven Grandchildren, Terry Moody, Michelle Moody, Bill Smith, Judy Price, John Smith, Emily Soto, and Ethan Smith; 10 Great Grandchildren, and One Great Great Grandchild.
Shirley was also preceded in death by Brothers, Jadie, Jodie, Roy, Lonnie and James Surles.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St., Paris, Tenn., where the visitation will be from 4 – 7 pm Friday, January 2, 2015 and from 9 – 11 am Saturday, January 3, 2015. The Funeral Service will be at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home at 11:00 AM Saturday, January 3, 2015.
Micheal Barnhart will officiate. Pallbearers will be Billy Smith, John Smith, Ethan Smith, Charlie Cuthbertson, George Shankle, and Dale Routon.
Interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Paris, Tenn.

Buddy Manning
Born in Puryear, TN to the late Jim and Opal Orene Bivens Manning. In 1962 he married Mary Ellen McQuiston, she survives, Buchanan.Survived by a son: Christopher Todd (Laura) Manning, Illinois; sisters: Linda Carol (Jerry) Jones, Murray, KY, Claudean (Walter) Etps, Puryear; brother: Keith Manning, Lynn Grove, KY; grandchildren: Jake, Samantha and Melanie Manning; several nieces and nephews including two special nieces: Jan Hale and Marie Jones.
Preceded by two sons: James Lee Manning, at birth, James Sheryle Manning; one sister and three brothers.
Mr. Manning moved to Batavia, IL in the late 60's where he worked in concrete construction. He was an avid car enthusiast, rebuilding and restoring old cars.
Visitation 1:00 - 4:00PM Wednesday at McEvoy Funeral Home.

Linda Hays
Linda Fields Hays, age 57, of Puryear, Tenn., died Saturday, December 27, 2014, at Jackson Madison Co. Gen. Hosp. in Jackson, Tenn.
She formerly worked at PML and Plumley Rubber Co. and was also a sitter with the elderly.
She born July 21 1957 in Williamson, WV to the late Jimmy Fields and Helen Virginia Dotson Gilbert of Paris, TN.
Besides her mother, she is also survived by her One Son, Chris Barcio of Puryear, Tenn; Two Sisters, Rosie Fields of Paris, Tenn, Ginger (Larry) Mills of Paris, Tenn; Two Brothers, Jimmy (Sylvia) Fields of Paris, Tenn, Brian Fields of Paris, Tenn; Grandchildren, Chase and Chance Barcio; and Several Nieces and Nephews.
Linda was also preceded in death by Two Daughters, Heather Holder and Crystal Renee Holder.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St. Paris, Tenn., where the visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM Tuesday, December 30, 2014.
The Funeral Service will be at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home at 1:00 PM Tuesday, December 30, 2014.
David Gallimore will officiate. Pallbearers will be Chris Pulley, Larry Mills. Anthony Willoughby, Hunter Wade, Zach Hinson, and Billy Dotson.
Interment will be at Crooked Creek cemetery near Big Sandy, Tenn.
