She was born in Coalmont, Tennessee on July 16, 1917 to Jim Dickerson and Nina Givens Dickerson who preceded her in death along with her husband, Kermit Fults; brother, Ted Dickerson; sister, Geneva Risko; a infant brother, Dee. She was a member of the Church of Christ at Altamont. She owned and operated the Cumberland Café in Altamont and a Shoe store. She is survived by her daughters, Jane (Dwight) Myers and Nina (Late Greg) Fults; 4 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren;1 great great grandchild. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Thursday in the funeral home chapel with Ministers Willie Childers and Russell Ladd officiating with burial to follow in the Altamont Cemetery. LONG, MRS. BENNIE KAY, 75, (1941 – 2016), died Monday December 19, 2016 at her home. She was born in McMinnville on August 22, 1941 to Willard Grissom and Louie Marie Roberts Grissom who preceded her in death along with her infant brother Sammy. She is survived by her husband, Charles E. Long Sr. ; daughters, Regina K. Smartt, Beersheba Springs and Crista (Joe) Long, McMinnville; sons, Charles E. “Chuck” (Dee) Long Jr., Spencer, Mark (Susan) Long, Beersheba Springs and Jeremy (Carol) Long, Chattanooga; brother, Joe (Martha) Grissom, McMinnville; grandchildren, Stephanie, Nick, Cody, Tiffany, Mason, Jade, Wesley, Kayleigh and Kirsty; step-grandchildren, Tyler and Sean, Steffen and Tyrus. LEWIS, MRS, GLORIA ANNA, (September 1, 1927 – December 11, 2016), age 89 fell asleep in death Saturday, December 11, 2016. She was born and lived in Cincinnati, Ohio and Lantana, Florida, before moving to Monteagle in 2008. She had been one of Jehovah's Witnesses for 61 years. Her greatest joy in life was helping others understand God's Word. Mrs. Lewis was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Lewis; sons, Gary Lewis and Terry Lewis and his wife, Tressie; brother-in-law, Jim Griffis. Survivors include her sister, Martha Griffis; granddaughter, Katrina (Richard) Thomas; grandsons, Dustin (Kristi) Martin and Ryan Martin; nieces, Bonnie (Bill) Nunley and Glory O'Blenes; great-grandchildren, Brandt and Hunter Thomas; daughter-in-law, Sharon; and many friends. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, December 17 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Coalmont. KING, MRS., LYNN HOMBAKER, (September 20, 1987 – December 10, 2016), age 29 of Tracy City, Tennessee passed away at her home on Saturday evening with her family by her side. She was a native of Whitwell and was preceded in death by her grandparents, Lynn Elizabeth Hombaker and Kenneth Hombaker. Those left to cherish her memories are her husband, Nicholas King; daughters, Isabella Sitz, Elizabeth, Molly and Victoria King; Godchildren, Morgan, Kaeden, Madison and Gracelyn; parents, Richard and Sandra Hombaker; grandmother, Lelar Pierce; brother, Rick Hombaker and many many friends. CLAYBORN, MR. ROBERT CARR, 73, (1943 – 2016), died Monday December 12, 2016 at his home in Altamont. He was retired from Carrier and was a plumber and electrician. He was born in Overton County, Tennessee on October 24, 1943 to Howard and Lena Gore Carr who preceded him in death along with his brothers, Jewel and Doyle Carr; wife, Treva Bean. He is survived by his son, Kevin Robert Carr; daughter, Ashley Bolin; sister, Judy Randall; brothers, Donald and Pat Carr; 2 grandchildren. JAMES, MR. RANDEL HOYT (1943 – 216), 73, of Gruetli-Laager, died Friday, December 9, 2016 from injuries he received in an automobile accident near Whitwell. He was born in Palmer, Tennessee on June 4, 1943 to Albert M. James and Ruby Anderson James who preceded him in death along with his wife, Claudia Faye "Sissy" Burnett James; daughters, Melissa Ann Cookston Jackson and Cristy Elaine James; brothers, Tommy, Billy, Neal, Malcolm and Mallory James. He attended Bivens Chapel Congregational Methodist Church and loved playing the guitar at church and singing. Randel was a retired auto body repairman. He is survived by his sons, Dewayne and Tommy James; brother, Oscar Harold (Martha) James; sisters, Mary (Edward) O'Neal, Diane James and Teresa (Mike) Cordell; sister-in-law, Ruby James; grandchildren, Casey and Tommy Jessie James, Justin Cookston, Faith Jackson; great grandchildren, Daniel, Joel and Dixie James; special girlfriend, Wanda Birdwell; a host of nieces and nephews. She was born in Gruetli-Laager, Tennessee on January 13, 1947 to Herschel and Ethel Vaugh Grimes who preceded her in death along with her husband, Larry Griffith; brothers, Charles and Lee Grimes; infant brother, Carl Ray Grimes. She attended the Mount Etta Freewill Baptist Church and served as the pianist up until her health declined. He was a son of the late Wilburn Cullen Norwood and Shirley Carter Norwood. Don had worked for several years in the heating & air service and installation.
