Margaret Burnett
1928 - 2016
Mrs. Margaret Burnett, age 88, of Palmer, passed away July 25, 2016 at the Unity Medical Center in Manchester. Mrs. Burnett was born June 16, 1928 in Palmer to the late Wesley and the late Mattie (Roberts) Coffelt.
She is survived by her daughter, Carol Grimes of Gruetli-Laager; son, David Burnett and wife Karen of Gruetli-Laager; 5 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors also survive.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Brother Walter Burnett; Brothers, Amos, Irvin, Marvin "Leck" Lee, Dan, Matthew, and Louis "Luke" Coffelt; Sisters, Mabel Roberts, Abbie Nunley, Mollie Nunley, Frankie Coffelt, Rosa Lou Coffelt, and Bessie Ann Edith Coffelt; Son, Billy Ray Burnett; and son-in-law Charles Grimes. Funeral services were held, July 28, 2016 with Danny and Ronald Coffelt officiating. Burial followed at Palmer Cemetery. Arrangements were provided by Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, TN.

Allen Howard "Ramey" Cunningham
1952 - 2016
Mr. Allen Howard "Ramey" Cunningham, 63, of Gruetli-Laager, passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2016. He was born October 7, 1952. He was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia Rae Burnett Cunningham and daughter, Andrea Cunningham.
He is survived by his father, Howard Shirley Cunningham; son, Ryan Cunningham; 3 grandchildren; aunts, uncles and cousins. Graveside funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday in the Fall Creek cemetery with Pastor Matthew Meeks officiating. Arrangements were provided by Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, TN.

Jeff "Papa" Johnson
Jeff "Papa" Johnson, age 53, went to be with the Lord Sunday, July 31, 2016 at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He enjoyed spending time with his family and he loved the Lord. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Alene Johnson. He is survived by his wife, Roxanne Johnson; son, Chase (Alora) Johnson; daughter, Christin (Greg) Fults; grandchildren, Bailey, Taylor, Elliot and soon to be Sidney; step- mother, Rachel Johnson. Funeral services will be held at 6:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 3, 2016 in the Foster & Lay Chapel with Reverend Matthew Meeks officiating. Burial will be in the Plainview Cemetery. Arrangements were provided by Foster & Lay Funeral Home, Tracy City, TN.

Mary Jo Kilgore
1929 - 2016
Mrs. Mary Jo Kilgore, age 87, of Tracy City, TN, passed away Sunday, July 24, 2016, at her home. She was retired from the Agriculture Extension Office and was a member of the Church of Christ in Monteagle. A daughter of the late James O. Fults and Margie Nunley Fults, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Kilgore, Jr. ; brothers, James H., Billy Ray, Roger Gerald and Ronald K. Fults. Survivors include her brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Sharon Fults, Kingsport, TN; brother-in-law, David and his wife, Judy C. Kilgore, Chattanooga; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, July 28 in the funeral home chapel with Minister Paul Tittle officiating.
Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery. Arrangements were made by Foster & Lay Funeral Home of Tracy City, TN.

Freddie Eugene Smith
1956 - 2016
Mr. Freddie Eugene Smith 60, of Tunnel Hill, Georgia, died Sunday July 31, 2016 at Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga. He was born in Grundy County, Tennessee on February 2, 1956 to Elvin Franklin and Beulah Bell Robertson Smith who preceded him in death along with his brothers, Herbert Chester, Alfred and Bob Smith; sisters, Aline Hargis, Martha Caldwell, Mary Burnett, Lou Bess and Edna Brown. He is survived by his son, Evan (Amanda) Smith; daughters, Amanda Smith and Jeannie Smith; sisters, Betty (Don) Mathis and Lois Lance; brothers, Sam (Faye) Smith, "Troy (Angie) Smith; 9 grandchildren; companion, Carrie Turner a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Wednesday in the funeral home chapel. Burial followed in the Fall Creek Cemetery. Arrangements were provided by Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, TN.

BRAY, MRS. CLARICE VIRGINIA, age 80 (February 8, 1936 - July 25, 2016) of Monteagle passed away Monday evening at her home. A graveside service will be 5:00 P.M. Wednesday at Plainview cemetery with Minister Melvin Childers officiating.

KILGORE, MRS. MARY JO, age 87 of Tracy City passed away Sunday, July 24, 2016, (June 30, 1929 - July 24, 2016) at her home. She was retired from the Agriculture Extension Office and was a member of the Church of Christ in Monteagle. A daughter of the late James O. Survivors include her brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Sharon Fults, Kingsport, Tn; brother-in-law, David and his wife, Judy C. Kilgore, Chattanooga; sister-in-law, Emma Ruth Kilgore Roberts, Tracy City, TN; several nieces and nephews; caregivers, Debbie Meeks, Ruth Simmons, and Joy Melton. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday in the funeral home chapel with Minister Paul Tittle officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 4-8 P.M. At the funeral home. Arrangements are by Foster & Lay Funeral Home of Tracy City, Tennessee.

SANDERS, MR. TERRY LEE, 66, of Shelbyville, (June 24, 1950 - July 24, 2016) passed away on July 24, 2016 in Monteagle Tennessee. He was a retired US Army Veteran. He served in the 101st Airborne Division Fort Campbell Kentucky and the 82nd Airborne Division Fort Bragg North Carolina. As well as two tours of duty in Germany. He is preceded in death by his mother Marie Pass, his father Ralph Sanders, step father John “Buck” Pass, and son Terry Lee Sanders, Jr. He is survived by daughters Teresa (Dan) Mulligan of Estill Springs, TN; Brenda Michelle Sanders of Manchester; and their mother Judy Sanders of Tullahoma, TN; brothers, Larry (Caroline) Sanders, Normandy, TN; Bobby Sanders of Inglewood, FL; granddaughters, Emily Shadow of Tullahoma, TN; Desirae Sanders of Beechgrove, TN; Ashlee Beavers, of Tullahoma, TN; and Sarabeth Beavers of Manchester, TN. He is also survived by his beloved dogs and many friends and family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Shriners Hospital, a charity dear to Terry's heart. Memorial service with military honors will be held 6:00 P. M Thursday, July 28, 2016 in the funeral home chapel, visitation will follow. Arrangements are provided by Cumberland Funeral Home, Monteagle, Tennessee, (931) 924-2381.

INGLE, MR. JACKIE DOWELL, age 72 (1943 – 2016) of Cowan, passed away on Saturday, July 23, 2016 at Southern Tennessee Regional Health Systems in Winchester. He was born in Manchester on November 18, 1943 to the late Newton Dowell and Mary Hazel Goodrich Ingle. Jack was a Contractor for the United States Postal Service for 48 years and also worked as a Building Contractor at the Monteagle Sunday School Assembly Grounds. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Bobbie Lee Rogers Ingle; son, Jackie Dowell Ingle Jr; sister, Francis Gayle Ingle Layne; and brother, Larry Ky Ingle. Jack is survived by his sons, James Larry Ingle of Estill Springs, and Michael D. (Tammy A.) Ingle of Hillsboro; daughter, Deborah Leigh Ingle (Steve) Russell of Cowan; brothers, John G. Ingle of Winchester, and Billy Grant Ingle of Cowan; sisters, Mary Jane Ingle (Jimmy) Whited of Austin, TX, Martha Latreive Ingle (Sam) Kirkland of Winchester, and Sharon Kay Ingle (Jerry) Champion of Winchester; grandchildren, Michelle Lee Edwards, Amanda Naomi-Lee Thompson, Kelley Shea Moon, Brittany Ann Ingle, and Michael Chase Ingle; great-grandchildren, Logan Riley Cunningham, Savannah Lee Stefanski, Patrick Joseph Stefanski III, Connor Thompson, Bristol Thompson, and Finley Moon; and his beloved basset hound, Dixie. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 in the Moore-Cortner Chapel with Rev. Ronnie Pittinger officiating. Interment will follow at Cowan Montgomery Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to American Cancer Society . Arrangements were provided by Moore-Cortner Funeral Home, Winchester, TN.

SANDERS, MRS. ELIZABETH, ANN, (July 10, 1974 - July 21, 2016) of Sewanee, Tennessee past away Thursday July 21, 2016 at STRHS in Winchester, Tn. She is survived by husband Kevin Sanders, Children; Timothy Sanders and Devon Sanders, Grandmother; Mary Scott, Father; Tim Scott, Mother; Edith Scott, and brother William Scott. Visitation will begin at 4:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. on Saturday July 23, 2016. Funeral Service is Sunday July 24, 2016 at 3:00 P.M. at Cumberland Funeral Home Chapel, burial will be at Eastern Star Cemetery.
