Geraldine Hill Terrill (June 17, 1919 - March 30, 2014)
Geraldine Hill Terrill was born June 17, 1919, to Allen (Bud) and Elizabeth (Lizzie) Hill in Sewanee, Tennessee. She was educated at Sewanee Elementary School and Franklin County High School in Winchester, Tennessee. She married
Clyde Terrill of Sewanee and he preceded her in death in 1990. She was also preceded in death by her brother Hubert Hill and wife Lula. She is survived by her brother James Otto Hill and wife Dot, one nephew, several nieces, and many loving friends. She died March 30, 2014. Graveside rites will be at the Eastern Star cemetery in Sewanee Saturday, April 5, 2014, at 1:00 P.M. Arrangements have been made with Crowder Funeral Home, Dickinson, Texas, and Cumberland Funeral Home, Monteagle, Tennessee.
Verna Louise Sells

Verna Louise Sells Mrs. Verna Louise Barnes Sells age 62 of Monteagle passed away Friday evening with her family and friends by her side. She was born in Sherwood, Tennessee a daughter of the late William Woodrow Barnes and Mary Elizabeth Haney Barnes and was preceded in death by her sons, Anthony and Elvis Sells; brothers, Robert, Raymond and Billy Barnes; sisters, Katherine Hill and Jean Price. Survivors include her son, Steve Sells, Tracy City; sisters, Peggy Price and Wanda Smith both of Sewanee; grandchildren, Deanna, Courtnee and Tyler; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Monday in the funeral home chapel with Elder Franklin Hill officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday 5-9 P.M. at the funeral home. Chandra Gayle Meeks, age 33, of Tracy City, Tennessee passed away Friday, March 28, 2014 at Emerald-Hodgson hospital in Sewanee, Tennessee. She is preceded in death by her father, Grady Lockhart, brothers, Donnie Lockhart, and Ronald Nelson Nunley, Maternal Grandparents, Wiley and Alma Meeks, Paternal Grandparents, Wilson and Mae Ellen Lockhart. Survivors include her mother, Mary Jo Meeks and step-father, Charles Green, Tracy City, Tennessee; son, Skyler Meeks, Tracy City, Tennessee; brothers, Troy Lockhart, Ronnie Lockhart, and Grady "Anto" Lockhart, Jr., Tracy City, Tennessee; sisters, Kimberly Goins, Tracy City, Tennessee; Angela Manley, South Pittsburg, Tennessee; favorite uncle, David Meeks; favorite aunt, Pat Birdwell; several Aunts, Uncles and cousins. Mrs. Dorothy E. Prater age 89 of Tracy City, Tennessee passed away Tuesday, March 25, 2014, at Emerald-Hodgson Hospital in Sewanee. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arble Prater; companion, Harvey Sweeton; daughter, Phyllis Carol Green; sisters, Pauline Prater, Gladys Johnson; brothers, Cesslor Herman Johnson, and William Clayton Johnson. She is survived by her sons, Johnny William Prater and Bruce Wayne Prater both of Tracy City; sister, Hazel Johnson Adams, Monteagle; 5 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday in the funeral home chapel with Minister Ben Curtis officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery. Mrs. Altalene “Tiny” S. Myers age 83 of Chattanooga and a former resident of Coalmont passed away Monday evening. Survivors include her children, Carol (Jimmy) Burnett, Chattanooga, John Michael Myers, Chattanooga, Russell (Beverly) Myers, Altamont, Gayle Myers, Monteagle and Becky (Keith) Butner, Coalmont; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. at Vanderbilt Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her daughter Jennifer Garner; father Robert Lee Hoback, Sr; two brothers, Robert Lee Hoback Jr, Charles Edgar Hoback; sister, Barbara Hoback Meeks; grandparents, Charlie & Beulah Hoback, Joe & Myrtle Sisk.

Mrs. Helen L. Givens Caldwell, 79, passed away Saturday February 22, 2014. She was a LPN and had worked at the Cumberland Heights Hospital. She was born in Bryant's Cove on September 27, 1934 to Fate and Maggie Knowlan who preceded her in death along with her husband, Ralph Givens; sister, Louise Brewer; brothers, Hershell, John, George, Doug and Gilliam Knowlan. She is survived by her daughter, Belinda Darlene (Rick) Griffith; sons, Jeffery Rodney (Stacy) Givens and Darrell Roger (Buncie) Givens all of Whitwell; sisters, Marie Taylor, McMinnville, Margaret Nance, Gruetli-Laager and Troas Layne of Palmer; brothers, Preston (Willene) Knowlan, Gruetli-Laager and Charles Ray (Yoshiko) Knowlan, Harrison; grandchildren, Jamie, Susie, Ashley, Blake, BreAnn, Richelle, Dirk and Nicholas; great grandson, Noah. Mrs. Mary Ethel Hatfield, age 74, passed away Monday, March 17, 2014 at her home with her family by her side. She is preceded in death by parents Virigl and Ruth Fincher, daughter, Lisa Williams, brother, James Fincher; sister, Frances Fincher.
Survivors include her loving husband, Martin Hatfield, Manchester, TN; children, Stacy (Jeff) Murphy, Manchester, TN; Bruce Sitz, Tracy City, TN; Steve (Sherry) Sitz, Tracy City, TN; Gary Lovell, Evansville, IN. ; Jeff (Vena) Lovell, Tullahoma, TN; Seven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday, March 21, 2014 in the Chapel of Foster & Lay Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Orange Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday 12:00 - 2:00 P. M.
Bobby Neal Campbell
(May 20, 1938 - March 14, 2014)
Mr. Bobby Neal Campbell, age 75, passed away at his home on Friday, March 14, 2014. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lois Campbell Lowe; wife, Nell Richmond Campbell, two brothers, Timothy and Teddy Lowe.
Survivors include his daughters, Zina Campbell of Ashland City and Teresa (Lonnie) Halpin of Henrietta, TN; sister, Linda (Jimmy) Long of Dacula, GA; grandchildren, Chassity, Bobby, and Brandi Halpin and Nora Rippy.
Mr. Campbell was a U. S. Air Force veteran and retired from the State of Tennessee as an Associate Warden of Administration for Riverbend Maximum Security Prison for 37 years.
Mr. Campbell will be interred in Monteagle cemetery on Monday, March 17, 2014, at 3:00 P.M. with full military honors provided by: Sequatchie Valley Honor Guard.
Funeral arrangements were by Cheatom County Funeral Home of Ashland City, Tennessee.
