Mrs. Mary Sue “MeMaw” Cummings Thompson, age 89 of Lewisburg, died Thursday morning in Marshall Medical Center.
A native of the Talley Station Community, she was the daughter of the late John H. and Dixie Lee Callahan Cummings, a homemaker and a member of the Church St. Church of Christ. She was a child caregiver for many years, caring for them in her home. She was always open to visitors and treated them like family.
Mrs. Thompson is survived by a son: John Thomas Thompson of Lewisburg; a daughter: Gayle Thompson Hardison of Virginia Beech, VA; and a sister: Mrs. Ruth C. McLean of Lewisburg. Four grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by her husband: William Stanley Thompson in 1988; and three sisters: Flora Wells, Robbie Marsh, and Mazelle Darnell.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Bills McGaugh Funeral. Burial will follow in Lone Oak Cemetery.
The family will be at Bills McGaugh Funeral Home on Friday from 4:00 – 7:00 PM, and Saturday until the funeral hour.

Mr. Sam C. Collins, age 86 of Lewisburg, died Sunday evening in Maury Regional Hospital.
A native of Marshall County, he was a farmer, retired from Reliance Machine Shop, and a member of the Bluff Springs Church of Christ. He had also worked as a cheese maker for Marshall County Creamery.
He is survived by his wife: Elizabeth Stinson Collins; a daughter: Gayle Collins, both of Lewisburg; a son Glenn Collins of Dublin, GA, two brothers: Howard Collins of Lewisburg and Elam Collins of Dyersburg; a sister: Mildred Brown of Cornersville; and one grandson.
Visitation will begin Monday at 5:00 pm at Bills McGaugh Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 2:00 pm from the chapel of Bills McGaugh Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Lone Oak Cemetery with military honors.

Wade Andrew Rinehart, age 34 of Lewisburg, died Monday morning at his residence.
Wade was born in Houston, TX and was self-employed with Primerica Financial Services. He attended the Lewisburg First Baptist Church and was an active Cub Scout leader with Lewisburg Pack 173.
He is survived by his wife: Renee Rinehart; a son: Connor Mealer, both of Lewisburg; his parents: John and Carolyn Rinehart of Madison, AL; paternal grandmother: Elizabeth Rinehart of Madison, AL; and a brother: Daniel Rinehart of Santa Maria, CA. Other survivors include his uncles and aunts: Walter & Devra Long of Madison, AL, Louise Lunsford of Spring, TX, and Jim & Christine Rinehart of Pasadena, TX.
Under the direction of Bills McGaugh Funeral Home, the family will gather at New Hope Cemetery at Ostella on Thursday at 11:00 AM for graveside services.
They will be at Bills McGaugh Funeral Home on Wednesday after 4:00 PM for visitation.

Mr. Lewis Richard “L. R.” Cheatham, age 95 of the South Berlin Community, died Friday morning in NHC-Lewisburg.
Mr. Cheatham was a native of the South Berlin Community, son of the late Daley and Elizabeth Ewing Cheatham, a farmer and carpenter, and a member of the Parkview Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon. He was preceded in death by his wife: Lena Cheatham; and a son: Bobby Cheatham.
He is survived by a son: Dickie Cheatham of Lewisburg; two sisters: Polly Barnes of Bell Buckle and Mildred Blackwell of Lewisburg; two brothers: Wilburn Cheatham of Lewisburg and John Cheatham of Kelso. 7 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 3:00 PM from the Parkview Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Cheatham-Rone Cemetery in the South Berlin Community.

Mae was a native of Giles County, daughter of the late Mitchell and Ava Mae Walker Price, and a former employee of Cosmolab.
She is survived by her husband of 31 years: Charles “Dickey” Southerland of Belfast; two sons: John Jeremy “Jay” Southerland of Willoughby, OH and Mitchell Southerland of Belfast; 3 sisters: Linda Price Rawlin of Columbia, Kathy Luna of Cornersville, and Kay Lynley of Lewisburg; 4 brothers: Danny Price and David Price of Lewisburg, Jerry Dale Price of Giles County, and Johnny Price of Alabama; and her mother-in-law: Ellen Southerland of Lewisburg.

Mrs. Sarah Inez Gupton, age 95 of Kingston, Tennessee, died Monday at Rockwood Healthcare.
A native of Leeds, Alabama, she was the daughter of the late James and Emma Harmon Graham and a member of the Mooresville Methodist Church. Mrs. Gupton was a retired Executive Secretary at Faber-Castell Corporation in Lewisburg.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Kipp J. Gupton in Jan of 1985: two sisters: Janie G. Mathis and Nell G. Knowles; and a brother, E. Hayden Graham.
Mrs. Gupton is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: Terry Alan (Sandy) Gupton of Harriman, TN; brother: James J. Graham of Birmingham, AL; 2 granddaughters: Holly Rader and Jessica Gupton; step-grandchildren: Danny Inman and Connie Sue Bales; 2 great-grandchildren and 2 step-great-grandchildren.

Robert W. ''Bob'' McKinney, age 72, died at his residence Tuesday morning, surrounded by his family.
The family has requested that memorial donations be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund Principal or the Gideon Living Memorial Bible Program, or Willowbrook Hospice of Franklin.
Bob was a native of Mountain Home, NC and the oldest of eight children of Dock Roosevelt and Hester Adeline Whitaker McKinney. He served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War, and was a well known mechanic in the Marshall County area. In recent years, Bob greeted families and provided a strong shoulder for them during their grief, as an attendant at Bills McGaugh Funeral Home. More than anything, Bob was a gentleman who loved people, found kindness in all, and served his Lord faithfully as an active member of the First Baptist Church of Lewisburg, where he had worshiped for many years.
In January of 1955, Bob and Hettie Harrison were united in marriage. Their union was blessed with two daughters: Cindy and Mitzi, and eventually produced a legacy of 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandsons.
In addition, he is survived by two sisters: Ruby Jeffords of Woodruff, NC and Pauline Patillo of Fletcher, NC; and four brothers: Harold of Naples, NC, Paul of Lemore, CA, Roy of Hendersonville, NC, and Ray of Naples, NC. He was preceded in death by his youngest brother Sam.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 11:00 AM from the sanctuary of the First Baptist Church of Lewisburg, officiated by Rev. Paul Woodford, Bro. Joe Smith, and Dr. Tom Dumser. A eulogy will be offered by his brother, Paul.
Pallbearers will be Greg Donahue, Gary Bolling, Tom Wilson, Charles Hill, Phil Dalton, J. T. Hargrove, Don Daughrity, and Randall Carter. Honorary pallbearers will be the Deacons of First Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 3:00 – 8:00 PM at First Baptist Church.
