Mrs. Mamie Odell Grimsley Hunt, age 88 of Lewisburg, died Tuesday morning at her residence.
A native of Putnam Co, TN, Mrs. Hunt was the daughter of the late Lee and Ova Leah Whitaker Grimsley, a homemaker, a graduate of Cumberland Mountain School, and a member of the First Methodist Church of Lewisburg.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years: Rev. Hollis B. Hunt of Lewisburg; two daughters: Marilyn Hunt Wright of Lewisburg and Karen Hunt White of Hilton Head, SC; two sisters: Dorothy Jones of Nashville and Velma Flat of Cookeville; 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial gifts be made to the Lewisburg First Methodist Church, 325 W. Church, Lewisburg, TN 37091.
The family will visit with friends from 3:00 until 6:00 PM on Wednesday, May 26 at the First United Methodist Church of Lewisburg. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 PM Wednesday at the church, officiated by Rev. Tom Smith and Rev. Leland Carden.
Graveside and interment services will be on Thursday, May 27 in the Smith's Chapel Cemetery in Jackson Co., TN.

Mrs. Georgie Spain, age 68 of Lewisburg, died Friday evening in Maury Regional Hospital.
A native of Madisonville, TN, she was the daughter of the late Virgil & Abby Green Watson, a retired housekeeper with Kantus Corporation, and member of the Westvue Church of Christ.
Mrs. Spain is survived by her daughter: Robbie Wilson of Lewisburg; a son: David (Cindy) of McDonough, GA; 5 grandchildren: April Wilson (Victor) Atkisson, Sara Wilson, and Adam Wilson all of Lewisburg, Alexa Spain and D. J. Spain of McDonough, GA; and two brothers: Hoyt Watson and Naomon Watson, both of Madisonville, TN. She was preceded in death by her husband: Ladoit Spain, and a brother: Boyce Watson.
Private graveside services were conducted at 5:00 PM on Saturday, May 29 in Sunset Park Cemetery, Garden of Faith.

Mrs. Emma Ann Osteen, age 94, died Monday afternoon, May 31, 2004 at her residence in the Hardison Mill Community of Marshall County.
Mrs. Osteen was the daughter of the late John and Julia Massey Echols and was adopted and raised by Dave and Elizabeth Sullenger. Mrs. Osteen graduated from the Nashville General Hospital School of Nursing in 1930, and married Joseph Thomas “Jodie” Osteen the following year. As a Registered Nurse, she worked at Vanderbilt Medical Center and Maury Regional Hospital for a number of years. In the late 1950’s, she became the night supervisor at Leonard’s Hospital, remaining there until her retirement about 1973.
She is survived by a daughter: Joan Osteen Frye of the Hardison Mill Community; two grandchildren: LeeAnn Frye of Hardison Mill and Joe Frye Jr. of Pulaski; four great-grandchildren: Dana Ytzen and Holly Ytzen of Hendersonville, Jessica Frye of Hopkinsville, KY, and Joseph Riley Frye of Pulaski; and a step-great-grandchild: Ryan Brumitt of Pulaski.
The family requests memorial gifts be made to the Hospice of the Highland Rim in Columbia, TN.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Bills McGaugh Funeral Home, officiated by Hank Shelton. Burial will follow in the Allen Cemetery in the Caney Springs Community of Marshall County.

Mr. Henry Eugene “Gene” Hastings, age 89 of Lewisburg, died Monday afternoon in Marshall Medical Center.
A native of Petersburg, Mr. Hastings was the son of the late Henry and Leona Pack Hastings, retired from Heil-Quaker Corporation where he served as a lineman, a former member of the Petersburg Lion’s Club, and a member of the Church Street Church of Christ. Mr. Hastings was dedicated to the church and regularly served others by visiting, or delivering Meals-on-Wheels for the senior center.
He is survived by his wife: Evelyn Isley Hastings of Lewisburg; and was preceded in death by his brother and sisters: Allen Hastings, Robbie Beard, and Ruby Freeman.
The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 12:00 noon until 4:00 PM at Bills McGaugh Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 4:00 PM from the chapel of Bills McGaugh Funeral Home with Charles Williamson officiating. Interment will follow in the Sunset Park Cemetery, Garden of Hope.
Pallbearers will be Robert Neill, Wayne Winsett, Jimmy Hunter, Sidney White, Richard Finley, and Michael Cheatham. Honorary pallbearers will be Fount Webb and Nat Shires.

Mrs. Evelyn Isley Hastings, widow of Henry Eugene “Gene” Hastings who died May 3, died Friday afternoon in NHC-Hillview in Columbia.
Mrs. Hastings was the daughter of the late Jeff & Carrie Haskins Isley, worked as an accountant when her health allowed, and was a member of the Church Street Church of Christ.
She is survived by 5 sisters: Helen Isley Sanders, Margaret Isley Neill, Carolyn Isley Winsett, and Shirley Isley Hunter, all of Lewisburg; and Gayle Isley Crick White of Columbia.
Funeral services, officiated by Bro. Charles Williamson, will be conducted Saturday at 4:00 PM from the chapel of Bills McGaugh Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Sunset Park Cemetery, Garden of Faith.

Mr. Richard Roy Turner, age 89, died Friday afternoon at his Lewisburg residence.
A native of Marshall County, he was the son of the late Julius P. & Florence Stallings Turner, retired with 38 years of service from the enameling department at Heil-Quaker Corporation, and was a life-long member of the Lewisburg First Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Mr. Turner is survived by his wife: Christine Guthrie Turner; a sister: Mrs. Agnes T. Long, both of Lewisburg, and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be conducted Sunday at 3:30 PM at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Shelbyville. The family will be at Bills McGaugh Funeral Home on Saturday from 4:00 – 8:00 PM for visitation, and again on Sunday from 12:00 noon – 2:00 PM for visitation.

Mr. Arthuro Duncan, age 39, died Wednesday evening in St. Thomas Hospital following a lengthy illness.
Arthuro was born in Flint, MI and was employed by Saturn Corp. of Spring Hill. He played the guitar and harmonica, and had a general love for life in cooking, working, and having a joke for those around him. The greatest attribute anyone can have is to be described as kind and loving to others. When able, he enjoyed riding his Harley.
Arthuro is survived by his mother and step-father: Angelita and Reynaldo Molina of Belfast; four sisters: Rose Mary Fabbro of Birch Run, MI, Frances Taleb, Irene Stamos, and Carmen McDonald, all of Flint, MI; two brothers: David Duncan of Jacksonville, FL, and Gilbert Carrasco of Devine, TX.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, July 3 at 1:00 PM from the chapel of Bills McGaugh Funeral Home, officiated by Bro. Benny Burns.

Mr. John Willie “Johnny” Adams, Jr., age 72 of Lewisburg, died Friday afternoon in NHC-Oakwood.
Mr. Adams was a native of Marshall County, son of the late John Willie Sr. and Bessie Isley Adams, retired from Marshall Manufacturing, and a member of the First Baptist Church of Lewisburg.
He is survived by two sons: Larry Adams and Roger Adams; and a long time friend: Doris Brewer, all of Lewisburg, a sister: Gladys Crunk of Fayetteville; 3 grandchildren: John, Rachel, and Tina; and 5 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Charles Edwin “Ed” Hay, age 83 of Lewisburg, died Saturday afternoon in NHC-Lewisburg.
A native of Marshall County, he was the son of the late Walter Lee and Brownie Allen Hay, a retired supervisor with Faber-Castell Corporation after 47 years of service, veteran of the U S Army during World War II, and a member of the Church Street Church of Christ. Mr. Hay was also a life-member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Disabled American Veterans.
He is survived by his wife: Julene Haney Hay of Lewisburg; two daughters: Janice Arlene Guindon of Lake Alfred, FL, and Sabrina Rose “Bea” Parolini of Belfast; a son: Samuel Richard Hay of Huntsville, AL; two sisters: Margaret Tyree and Nita Wheat, both of Lewisburg; and 4 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Bills McGaugh Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Lone Oak Cemetery with full military honors.
Members of the Men's Downtown Bible Class will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Mrs. Mary Anna Gates Fitzgerald, age 85 of Lewisburg, died Wednesday morning in NHC-Lewisburg.
Mrs. Fitzgerald was the daughter of the late Porter A. and Alice Parks Stowers, a homemaker and member of the Church St. Church of Christ. She was a member of the Robert Lewis Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, and was preceded in death by her husbands: Forrest Gates in 1964 and John D. Fitzgerald in 1996.
She is survived by two daughters: Elynor (Roger) Busler of Lewisburg and Melinda (William) Weber of Paducah, KY; a step-son: John Fitzgerald of Nashville; a brother: Dick Stowers of Columbia; 6 grandchildren: Robert Weber of Orlean, VA, Mary Ellen Weber Starmer of Knowville, TN, David Fitzgerald of Nashville, TN, Katherine Fitzgerald Murphy of Alexandria, VA, Forrest Busler of Nashville, and Mary Margaret Busler of Lewisburg; and 1 great-grandchild.
Visitation with the family will be Thursday after 4:00 PM at Bills McGaugh Funeral Home. The family will gather at Lone Oak Cemetery on Friday at 10:00 AM for graveside services.
