Mr. Henry White
October 13, 2003
Mr. Henry White, age 81 of Lewisburg, died Monday evening at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, TN. Mr. White was a native of Pelham, TN and the son of the late Henry Horace and Clara Brashier White. He was the owner of Reliance Machine Works, a veteran of World War II, a member of the Lions Club and Gideons, and member of Lewisburg First United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife, Hazel Katherine White of Lewisburg, one daughter, Amelia Martin of Lewisburg, three sons, Kenneth White, Danny White, and David White, all from Lewisburg, a sister, Laura Ann White of Pelham, TN. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Ralph White and Sam Fred White. He is, also, survived by ten grandchildren an six great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, October 16, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. from the Lewisburg First United Methodist Church with burial in Lone Oak Cemetery. The family will be at London Funeral Home after 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday and from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at the church on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, please, make donations to the Lewisburg First United Methodist Scholarship Fund 325 West Church St. Lewisburg, TN 37091. London Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Vivian Owen Watson Mangrum

Mrs. Vivian Owen Watson Mangrum, age 81 of Lewisburg, died Friday, October 10, 2003 in Key West, Florida. Mrs. Mangrum was a native of McBurg, TN and daughter of the late William Gerald and Nellie Elizabeth Owen Watson. She was retired from Genesco Corp. and she was a member of the Church of Christ. She is survived by her daughter, Sara Nell Obermeyer of Key West, Florida, three brothers, John Thomas Watson of Fayetteville, TN, Glyn Douglas Watson of Murfreesboro, TN and Terry Alden Watson of McBurg, TN. Graveside services will be conducted Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. in the Wright Cemetery in the Frankewing Community. The family will be at the funeral home Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon for visitation. London Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Doyce Wayne McCormick

Mr. Doyce Wayne McCormick, age 57 of Bell Buckle, TN, died Monday October 13, 2003 in Bedford Co. Medical Center. Mr. McCormick was a native of Lincoln Co., TN and son of the late Robert and Ruby Jo Spradlin McCormick. He was formerly employed as a Supervisor with Marshall Manufacturing Corp. and member of the Belfast Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Christina Izad McCormick of Bell Buckle, TN, three daughters, Charlotte Lamb of Alabama, Tonya Poteete and Melissa Metcalf both of Shelbyville, TN, son, Robert McCormick of Columbia, TN, step-daughter, CourtneyKaderman and step-son, Dylan Kaderman both of Bell Buckle, TN, Brother, Ricky Pitts of Lewisburg, TN, sister, Geneva McCormick of Rockvale, TN and five grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, October 15, 2003 at 1:00 p.m. from the Chapel of London Funeral Home with burial in Talley Cemetery. The family will be at London Funeral Home after 5:00 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday until the funeral hour for visitation. London Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. William Arthur Crabtree

Mr. William Arthur Crabtree, Jr., age 78 of the Silver Creek Community, died Thursday, October 9, 2003 at his home. Mr. Crabtree was a native of Maury Co., TN and son of the late William Arthur, Sr. and Bonnie Garrett Crabtree. He was a retired mathematics professor and member of Smyrna Church of Christ. He is survived by two sisters, Frances Stone of Wetumpka, Alabama and Sara Emma Cox of the Silver Creek Community, four brothers, Joe Crabtree of Franklin, TN, James Crabtree of Wetumpka, Alabama, Harold Crabtree of the Berlin Community and Calvin Bush Crabtree of the Silver Creek Community. Mr. Crabtree's body will be cremated. Memorial services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 11, 2003 at the Smyrna Church of Christ. No flowers, please. Make donations to the organization of your choice. London Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Janet Lynn Davis Hamlin

Mrs. Janet Lynn Davis Hamlin, age 37 of Lewisburg, died Tuesday, October 7, 2003 in Nashville at St. Thomas Hospital. Janet was a native of Marshall Co., TN and daughter of Billy R. and Geraldene Pettes Davis of Lewisburg. She was employed as Office Manager at International Comfort Products. She was a member of the Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, William C. Hamlin of Lewisburg, six children, Tamara Dooley, Lance Dooley, Kaitlyn Dooley, Katy Hamlin, Krissy Hamlin, and Josh Hamlin all of Lewisburg and two sisters, Melanie Stokes of Florence, Alabama and Michelle Head of Petersburg. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, October 10, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of London Funeral Home with burial in Lone Oak Cemetery. The family will be at London Funeral Home Thursday after 3:00 p.m. and Friday until the funeral hour for visitation. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a fund for Janet's children at First National Bank 951 North Ellington Parkway Lewisburg, TN 37091. London Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Berry Davis Coffey

Mr. Berry Davis Coffey, age 79 of Belfast, TN, died Monday, October 6, 2003 in Bedford Co. Medical Center. Mr. Coffey was a native of Bedford Co., TN and son of the late William Claud, Sr. and Myrtle Bills Coffey. He was a retired horse trainer and farmer and was a member of the Union Presbyterian Church. Preceded in death by his wife, Mary Sue Williams Coffey in 1994, he is survived by a son, Dave Coffey of Belfast, daughter, Barbara Sue Civils of Frisco, TX, two brothers, William Claud Coffey, Jr. and Loyd Coffey both of Petersburg, TN, sister, Marie Wilmesherr of Lexington, S.C., two grandsons, Chris Coffey of Murfreesboro, TN and Jimmy Civils of Frisco, TX and one great grandson, Bryce Coffey of Murfreesboro, TN. Funeral services will be conducted by John Horn Wednesday, October 8, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of London Funeral Home with burial in Round Hill Cemetery. The family will be at London Funeral Home Tuesday after 4:00 p.m. and Wednesday until the funeral hour for visitation. London Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Ms. Fay Lancaster, age 82 of Lewisburg, died Saturday, October 4, 2003 at her home. Ms. Lancaster was a native of Marshall Co., TN and daughter of the late James and Ava Laton Lancaster. She was retired as the Comptroller of Marshall Medical Center and member of Church St. Church of Christ. She has no immediate survivors. Funeral services will be conducted by Charles Williamson Tuesday, October 7, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. from the Chapel of London Funeral Home with burial in Lone Oak Cemetery. Visitation will be at London Funeral Home Monday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. London Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Harold Layne McAdams

Mr. Harold Layne McAdams, age 73 of Belfast, TN, died Friday, October 3, 2003 at his home. Mr. McAdams was a native of Marshall Co., TN and son of the late Henry Ervin McAdams and Mrs. Frances Elizabeth Arnold McAdams of Petersburg, TN. He was a farmer and retired from Inter-City Products. He was an Army veteran serving during the Korean War. He served as an Elder in the Liberty Valley Church of Christ. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Josephine McDaniel McAdams of Belfast, TN, two daughters, Sherry Holbert of Belfast and Wista Rector of Washington, D.C., sister, Pauline Pierce of Paris, TN and two grandchildren, Derrick Holbert and Adrienne Rector. Funeral services will be conducted by Harold Foster and Benny Burns Monday, October 6, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel London Funeral Home with burial in Head Springs Cemetery. The family will be at London Funeral Home Sunday after 3:00 p.m. and Monday until the funeral hour for visitation. London Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Hattie Lou Loyd

Mrs. Hattie Lou Loyd, age 101 of Lewisburg, died Friday, October 3, 2003 in NHC (Merihil) Healthcare. Mrs. Loyd was a native of Marshall Co., TN and daughter of the late Sam and Maggie Ophilia Ewing Liggett. She was retired from the Marshall Co. School System where she taught for several years. She was a member of Lewisburg First United Methodist Church. Preceded in death by her husband, R. H. Loyd, she is survived by nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be conducted by Leland Carden Monday, October 6, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. in Lone Oak Cemetery. The family will be at London Funeral Home Sunday from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. and Monday until the funeral hour for visitation. London Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Maxine Curtis, age 69 of Lewisburg, died Tuesday, September 30, 2003 in Marshall Medical Center. Mrs. Curtis was a native of Giles Co., TN and daughter of the late Deward Allen and Annie Ridner Holt. She was retired from Sanford Corp. and was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Edward Curtis and is survived by three sons, Duane Edward Bish and Terry Wayne Curtis both of Lewisburg, and Gary Walker Curtis of Florence, AL, four daughters, Jackueline Cheryl Thorneberry, Marjorie Ann Cherry and Sherri Lynn Slayton all of Lewisburg, and Laura Nell Curtis of Fayetteville, TN, step-son, William (Bill) Curtis of Lewisburg and four other step-children, five sisters, Maggie Lee Hopwood and June Ring both of Lewisburg, Betty Mossman of Ohio, Nora Braddock of Michigan, and Elizabeth Ragland of California, four brothers, John Holt and David Holt both of Ohio, and Dan Holt and Harold Holt both of Lewisburg, twelve grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Graveside services will be conducted Thursday, October 2, 2003 at 1:00 p.m. in Round Hill Cemetery. The family will be at London Funeral Home Wednesday after 5:00 p.m. and Thursday 12:30 for visitation. London Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Rosa Pearl Kiser Pinkston Smith

Mrs. Rosa Pearl Kiser Pinkston Smith, age 96 of Fayetteville, TN, died Tuesday September 30, 2003 in Donalson Healthcare in Fayetteville. Mrs. Smith was a native of Giles Co., TN and daughter of the late William P. and Nora Alice Nix Kiser. She was a homemaker and member of the Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Shirley Pinkston and Wilbur L. Smith and is survived by a grandson, Wlliam (Bill) Joseph Pinkston, II and granddaughter-in-law, Brenda Simpson Pinkston. Graveside services will be conducted Wednesday, October 1, 2003 at 3:00 p.m. in Mars Hill Cemetery. The family will be at London Funeral Home Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. for visitation. London Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Kenneth Ray Chilton
September 28, 2003
Mr. Kenneth Ray Chilton, Age 44, of Lewisburg, TN died Sunday morning at his residence. Mr. Chilton was a native of Marshall County and was the son of the late Cecil and Mary Dalton Chilton. He is survived by his wife, Lora Wolaven Chilton of Lewisburg, one son Nathan Ray Chilton and one step-son Michael Wayne Morgan, both of Lewisburg, a sister Betty Ballinger of the Yell Community, two brothers, John W. Chilton of the Yell Community, and Marcus Chilton of Lewisburg. Several aunts and uncles also survive. The body will be cremated with memorial graveside services following at 4:00 pm on Tuesday at Whorley Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 3 to 4 pm Monday at London Funeral Home. London Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
