BELLS - Tommie R. Crutchfield, 62, retired from Kelly Foods in Jackson, died Friday at the Regional Hospital of Jackson. Services were Monday at Walnut Hill Baptist Church, where he was a member, with burial in the church cemetery. Bells Funeral Home had charge. Mr. Crutchfield, the husband of Aleene Patterson Crutchfield, also leaves two sons, Robert Bruce Crutchfield of Humboldt and Jerry Thomas Crutchfield of Bells; three sisters, Dessie Westover of Jackson, Pairlee Runions of Gadsden and Shirley Mitchell of Guymon, Okla.; four brothers, Aaron Crutchfield of Milan, Jewel Crutchfield of Eva, and Johnny Ray Crutchfield and Jimmy Crutchfield, both of Gadsden, and two grandchildren.

JACKSON - Levet ‘Lee’ Finch, 74, retired former owner of a carpet cleaning service, died Thursday at Jackson - Madison County General Hospital. Services were Monday at Lawrence - Sorensen Funeral Home with burial in Hopewell Cemetery in Medina. He was a Baptist. Mr. Finch, the husband of Cordie Mae Walters Finch, also leaves two daughters, Patty Lansdowne of Hutchinson, Kan., and Darnell Davis of Flippin, Ark.; a son, Johnny Finch of Jackson; two sisters, Sue Morgan of Milan and Ann Drake of Jackson; a brother, Melvin Moore of Jackson, six grandchildren and four great - grandchildren.

MILAN - Jessie Sisco, 97, homemaker, died Tuesday at NHC Healthcare. Services were Friday at Bodkin Funeral Home with burial in Oakwood Cemetery. She was the oldest member of Milan First Assembly of God. Mrs. Sisco, the widow of Herbert T. Sisco, leaves a daughter, Bonnie Louise Blumke of St. Cloud, Minn.; a son, Wayne Sanford of Gibson; a sister, Marie Hawkins of Mishawaka, Ind., five grandchildren, 4 great - grandchildren and 6 great - great - grandchildren. Dennis Irvine
Services for Dennis M. Irvine, 43, were Sunday at the North Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons. Cremation followed services. Mr. Irvine died Thursday in Milan. He was a 1978 graduate of Jackson Central Merry High School and served in the United States Coast Guard. He worked thirteen years at the Milan Arsenal. In 1997 he left the Arsenal to establish his own business, GraySteel Industrial Maintenance, LLC in Milan. He was married to Teresa Stockton Irvine for twenty two years and leaves two children, Leslie Danielle Irvine, age 15 and Daniel Montana Irvine, age 10. He was a Medina Elementary PAL League Coach for five years and accompanied and supported various GCHS activities. He was the Region 1 Director of the TN Bass Federation and a member of the Gibson County Bass Club. He leaves his mother, Pat Irvine of Jackson; a brother, David W. Irvine of Beech Bluff, and a nephew, Brandon of South Carolina. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be directed to the Medina Middle School Field House Fund, 1300 Medina Middle School, Medina, TN 38355, in memory of Dennis.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Pafford Funeral Home in Lexington with burial in Henderson County Memory Gardens there. Mr. Cagle, the husband of Mary Helen Cagle, also leaves a daughter, Patricia Stanford of Decaturville; a son, Randy Cagle of Jackson; three stepdaughters, Phyllis Wardlow of Jackson, and Dale Adams and Donna Baldwin, both of Lexington; two sisters, Earlene Powers and Pauline Woods, both of Lexington, four grandchildren and five great - grandchildren.

Howard Smith
Howard Dean Smith, 79, died June 17 at the home of his daughter, Janis Kelly in Macon, GA. He was a member of the Milan Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Mr. Smith retired from the Milan Army Ammunition Plant and was a veteran of the Army Air Corp in Europe during WW II. Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his wife of 32 years, Jane Murphree Smith, as well as his stepdaughter Carol Jones. He is survived by a daughter, Janis Smith Kelly of Macon; four stepsons, Jack Murphree, Clyde (Cookie) Murphree, Charlie Murphree of Milan and Thom Murphree of Memphis; three brothers, Jack Smith of Bushnell, FL, Dwain Smith of Idlewild, and Gene Smith of Bradford, 9 grandchildren and 13 great - grandchildren. Graveside services were Friday at Oliver’s Chapel Cemetery. Bodkin Funeral Home had charge.
