Kathy Jowers Stafford, 44, of Halls, died Sunday, May 12, 2002 at Methodist Healthcare-Dyersburg Hospital. She was a self-employed truck driver. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Mount Tirzah Baptist Church with the Rev. Andy Brasfield and Alan Burchfiel officiating. Burial will be in Rehoboth Cemetery in Newbern.  Johnson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive visitors from 5:30-9 p.m. today at the church. Survivors include her husband, Rick Stafford of Halls; two daughters, Sharron Rene Dean of Tatumville and Laura W. Evans of Dade, Fla.; a son, Franklin Dewayne "Bubba" Hollis of Tatumville; a sister, Carolyn Ann Moore of Tatumville; a brother, Walter Jowers of Trimble; and four grandchildren, Tara Evans, Tyler Evans, Barbara Dean and Jacob Dewayne Hollis. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Bradley and Emma Marie Lemons Jowers; and a brother, Bobby Joe Jowers. Pallbearers will be Willie "Bill" Lemons, Otis Lemons, Johnny Lee Hendricks, Anthony "Tojo" Lemons, Terry Dale Lemons and Dewayne "Bubba" Hollis.
