Gregory Owen Hale, 26, of Obion, died Monday, July 29, 2002 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Ripley.
He was a maintenance employee with Jimmy Dean Foods and attended the Church of Christ. Services were at 11 a.m. today at Cryer Funeral Home with Ricky Burse officiating. Burial will be in Zion Cemetery in Obion.

Survivors include a son, Dylan Hale of Obion; a stepdaughter, Bridgette Morris of Troy; a stepson, Brian Morris of Troy; his parents, Gary Hale and Vickie Keeling Hale of Cloverdale; a brother, Doug Hale of Union City; two half-brothers, Joshua Hale and Christian Hale, both of Cloverdale; and his grandparents, J.R. and Bobbie Hale of Cloverdale and Bill and Blanche Keeling of Elbridge. Pallbearers will be Mark Keeling, Luke Keeling, John Keeling, Jeff Cartwright, Jon Hale, Mikie Hale, Keith Via, Mark Gray, Kevin Parish and Jeff Pollock.

Clyde D. Robbins, 85, of Dyersburg, died Monday, July 29, 2002 in the home of J.L. and Linda Sellers in Pulaski.
He was a retired fireman for the City of Dyersburg.

Services were at 10:30 a.m. today in the chapel of  Johnson Funeral Home with Jerry Leach officiating. Burial was in Rehoboth Cemetery in Newbern.

Survivors include his caregivers, J.L. and Linda Sellers of Pulaski; two stepdaughters, Golory Daily and Loise Walker, both of Dyersburg; four stepsons, Clearence Swader of Jackson, George Swader and John Allen Swader, both of Dyersburg and Cecil Swader of Georgia; and a nephew, Dr. Charles R. Harris of Franklin.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde Redden Robbins and Claudia Robbins.

Voda Hopkins Hand, 91, of Corinth, Miss., formerly of Bonicord, died Tuesday, July 30, 2002 at Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth.
She was a homemaker and a member of Parish Chapel Baptist Church in Bonicord.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Friendship Funeral Home. Burial will be in Bellevernon Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors today from 5-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

The widow of Ernest Hopkins and Floyd Hand, survivors include two daughters, Glenda Browder and Anniebell Williams, both of Memphis; five sons, Talmadge Hopkins and wife, Ollie, of Newbern, Elton Hopkins and wife, Joyce, of Bonicord, Thomas Hopkins and wife, Carrie Lynn, of Obion, Glynn Hopkins and wife, Frances, of Denver, Colo. and Lyndell Hopkins and wife, Dorothy, of Corinth, Miss.; a sister, Ethyl Bailey of Flint, Mich.; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Tim Hopkins, Ronald Hopkins, Pat Holland, Barry Elliot, Johnny Lambert and Paul Wample.

Ollie Fred Partee, 63, of Maury City, died Thursday, August 1, 2002 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at New First Baptist Church in Maury City with the Rev. Lenwood Reed officiating. Burial will be in Backs Chapel Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors from noon-8 p.m. Tuesday at Thompson's Mortuary in Ripley.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Partee of Maury City; four daughters, Maggie Ann Partee of Brownsville, Lisa Partee of Nashville, Hope House of Alamo and Tina Thompson of Maury City; six sons, Fred Partee, Lee Partee, Scottie Partee and Anthony Partee, all of Brownsville, Gary Thompson of Bells and Lamont Thompson of Maury City; four sisters, Ruthie Owen of Gadsden, Gloria Byrum, Mildora Montgomery and Linda Blues, all of Brownsville; and two brothers, Abe Bond Jr. of Brownsville and J.B. She was a homemaker and a retired farmer and the oldest member of Mount Tirzah Baptist church.

Services were at 10 a.m. today in the chapel of  Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. Andy Brasfield and the Rev. Robert Emerson officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Newbern.

Survivors include a daughter, Elaine Odom and husband, Austin of Union City; a son, John W. Lucas and wife, Shirley of Newbern; five grandchildren, Carol Odom Hoffman of Norman, Okla., Lynne Odom and Ann Odom Pratt, both of Nashville, Kelly Lucas of Newbern and Cindy Lucas of Dyersburg; two great-grandchildren, Addison Pratt of Nashville and Maya Hoffman of Norman, Okla.; and a step-great-grandchild, Justin Hoffman of Norman, Okla.

Pallbearers will be Stephen Agee, Jim Hall, Joe Terry Harrison, Mike Ladd, Jeff Pratt and Jim Hoffman. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Boucher, Ronnie Weatherly, Almous Austin, Eddie Austin and Bobby Akers.

Graveside services were at 3 p.m. Friday in Fairview Cemetery with the Rev. Stan Pruitt officiating. J.W. Curry & Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Survivors include two daughters, Patri L. Cate of Ennis, Texas and Julia C. Price of Forney, Texas; a son, Jerome Campbell of Dyersburg; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bethel A. Campbell; and four sisters, Rena Wright, Jennie Davis, Lena Ray and Ruby Dennis.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Old Fork Road Church in Martin with Brother Nathaniel Homes officiating. Burial will be in Palm Spring Cemetery in Martin. H.H. Hudson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive visitors at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Survivors include his wife, Ruth  Taylor of Martin; a daughter, Regina  Taylor of Sharron; a son, Barry  Taylor of Martin; a sister, Clara  Taylor of Martin; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Jacqueline Salenfriend of Dyersburg; two daughters, Lisa Susskind of Miami Beach, Fla. and Judy Musicer of Alpharetta, Ga.; a son, Richard Salenfriend of Dunwoody, Ga.; and four grandchildren, Raleigh Susskind of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Michelle Musicer and Wendy Muscier, both of Alpharetta, Ga. and Kelsey Salenfriend of Dunwood, Ga. The family request that any memorials be directed to Jewish National Fund, 78 Randall Ave., Rockville Center, NY 11570-3946, American Heart Association, American Lung Association or American Cancer Society.

Survivors include a daughter, Joan White of Union City; two sons, Gary Land of Union City and Terry Land of Dyersburg; four sisters, Margaret Dew and Betty Maynard, both of Union City, Ola Caudie of Dyersburg and Laverne Greenlee of Florida; three brothers, J.T. Brockwell of McConnell, Arvel Brockwell of Theodore, Ala. and Bobby Brockwell of South Fulton; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, Theo and Mary Brockwell. Pallbearers will be Bradley Eason, Edward Land, Timothy Land, Ronnie Brown, Gerald Younger and Vincent Younger.

A member of Holy Angels Catholic Church for 54 years. A graduate of Dyersburg State, with a B.A. in education.

Services will be at Holy Angels Catholic Church in Dyersburg. Mass will be held Friday at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Angeles Catholic Church.

Visitation will be Thursday at 5:30-7:00p.m. at the church.

Survivors include five sons, Robert C. King III of Brookfield, WI, Thomas L. King of Dyersburg, Carl W. King of Willow Springs, MO, David L. King of Houston, Texas, and Paul J. King of Halls; 11 grandchildren, Matthew King, Michael King, Ryan King, Lauren Ashley King, Audrey Nicole King, Scott King, Jeremy King, Paul King Jr., Emily King, Laura Michelle King and Chris King.

She was preceded in death by a son, Peter Jerome King; and her parents Xenophon and Maria Langos

He was a retired farmer, a member of Independent Free Holiness church, a 50-year member of Woodmen of the World and a member of the Coon Hunter's Club.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Independent Free Holiness Church with Rev. Buddy Grizzle and Brother Calvin Smith officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg.

The family will receive visitors at 5-9 p.m. today at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include his wife, Manda Hatch; a daughter, Linda Smith of Dyersburg; a son, Elgon Ray Hatch of Dyersburg; three sisters, Era Wilson, Crindola Millner and Izola Patton, all of Dyersburg; a brother, Junior Lee Hatch of Dyersburg; three grandchildren, Ray Hatch, Sonia Wilson and Tim Smith; 11 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, James Larry Hatch; and two granddaughters, Debbie Kent and Stephanie Bottoms.

Pallbearers will be Tommy Roper, Felix Reasons, Charles Staggs, Mark Butler, Britt Russell and Gene Clark.

She was a retired license practical nurse and an Episcopalian.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Aug. 17 at Family Funeral Care-Summer.

Survivors include three daughters, Lois English, Carol English and Linda English, all of Cincinnati, Ohio; two sons, Max Bingham of Dyersburg and Jim Bingham of Memphis; two sisters, Millie Cianciolo of Memphis and Debbie Goins of Dyersburg; and eight grandchildren.
