Funeral services for Jo Davis, 59, of Andrews, will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 15, 2005 at the First Baptist Church in Andrews with Dr. Jeff Donnell, Pastor officiating. Burial will follow in the Andrews North Cemetery in Andrews.
She died Saturday, March 12, 2005 at Midland Memorial Hospital in Midland.
She was born on March 6, 1946 in Longview, Texas. She graduated from Permian High School In Odessa in 1964. She worked as a bookkeeper for Cummins CPA and for Harper & Cavett CPA for 19 years. She was a bookkeeper with the Andrews County News for the last 2 years. Jo was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors include: Mother, Eugenia Hooper Owens, Abilene, Texas, daughters, Annette Renfro, Andrews, Texas, Aimee Davis, Atlanta, Georgia, brother, David Hooper, Austin, Texas, sisters, Estelle Munsell, Andrews, Texas, Janett Lisenbe, Odessa, Texas, Elizabeth Carter, Abilene, Texas, Mary Linda Wood, Austin, Texas and three grandchildren, Hanna Nicole, Hattie Lee and Hagan Reed, all of Andrews.

MARION 'SONNY' DEASON
March 23rd, 2005

Marion "Sonny" Deason, 72, of Andrews, passed away in the VA Medical Center in Big Spring, Texas, Wednesday, March 23, 2005.
Graveside services will be Monday, March 28, 2005 in the Andrews Old Cemetery. Richard Cooper will officiate.
Mr. Deason was born June 15, 1932 in Austin, Texas. He moved to Andrews, in 1963. He married Verna Cargill on October 17, 1980 in Lovington, NM. She preceded him in death, December 23, 2003. He was a driller for many years. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, Moose Lodge and the VFW. He liked to fish and hunt and he loved to play dominos.
Survivors include: Daughter - Debbie Brooks of Kermit; two step-sons - Russell Holems of Burnet and Rodney Holms of Andrews; step-daughter - Patricia Reece of Ingram, Texas; five grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

LOIS LUERINE HARRIS
October 7, 2005

Graveside services for Lois Luerine Harris, 81, of Andrews will be 2:00 PM Monday, October 10, 2005 in the Andrews West Cemetery with Rev. Bryan Johnson, Home Hospice Chaplain in Andrews, officiating.
Family will receive friends at McNett Funeral Home on Sunday, October 9, 2005 from 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM.
She passed away on Friday, October 7, 2005 at Permian Residential Care Center in Andrews.
She was born May 8, 1924 in Thurber, Texas, to Charles Franklin Mosley and Lura Cantwell Mosley. She married Paul Keith "Cotton" Harris on August 20, 1948 in Hobbs, New Mexico. She moved to Seminole in 1951 and then to Andrews in 1972. She loved to shop, help with the elections in Andrews, and was involved in the WWII 381st Bombers Unit Reunion. She was a homemaker and a member of the Means Memorial United Methodist Church in Andrews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years on May 8, 1992; her parents; 1 sister; and 1 brother.
She is survived by her 1 son: Randall K. Harris and wife, Sue, of Andrews; 1 sister: Carol Lynn Watkins of Jal, New Mexico; 1 brother: Charles Ray Mosley of Kermit; and 2 grandchildren: Shawn Michael Harris of Odessa and Anthony Dobs Harris, GSM3, US Navy, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.
Memorials may be sent to Home Hospice, 803 North Main, Andrews, Texas 79714 and Underwood Elementary, c/o Grandbuddies Program, 405 NW 3rd Street, Andrews, Texas 79714.

DONNA LOVING
February 12th, 2005

Donna Loving, 55, of Andrews passed away Saturday, February 12, 2005, at her home in Andrews.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Monday, February 14, 2005 at Andrews Church of Christ. Mark Wilson will officiate. Burial will be in Andrews North Cemetery.
Donna was born November 23, 1949 in Andrews, She married David Loving December 7, 1978 in Abilene, Texas.
She drove a School Bus for Andrews Independent School District for 17 years. She was a member of Andrews Church of Christ. She loved to play video games and sew. She also loved to decorate and remodel her home. She enjoyed grooming dogs. She loved her Bus kids and her birds.
She is survived by: husband - David Loving of Andrews; three daughters - Melissa Kay Fowler of Andrews; Desrah Guthrie of Utah; Shannon Michelle Loving of Kingsland, Texas; and Leslie Deanne Callaway of Andrews; one son - Thomas Guthrie of Elk City, Oklahoma; her father - Wilburn Green of Fredericksburg, Texas; three brothers - James Green of Houston; Michael McKinney of Andrews; Jeff Green of San Antonio; two sisters - Debbie Heath of Brownwood; Yvonne Bowden of Fredericksburg; five grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

BOBBIE SHARP
December 12, 2005

Bobbie Sharp, 73, of Andrews passed away Monday, December 12, 2005 at Permian Residential Care Center in Andrews.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday at McNett Funeral Home Chapel in Andrews. Rev. Bill Melton Pastor of Calvary Baptist Church of Andrews will officiate. Burial will be in Andrews Old Cemetery under the direction of McNett Funeral Home.
Bobbie was born April 12, 1932 in Hobbs, New Mexico. She married J.P. Sharp August 7, 1972 in Andrews. She worked as a Draftsman when she was younger and she was a Homemaker the last many years.
She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Andrews. She Enjoyed dressing a a clown for events at the Sky High Children's Ranch, and she loved being Mrs. Santa Clause for Christmas parties.
She was an active member of the Eagles Lodge and the Moose Lodge. She loved going fishing and traveling, and she loved to spend time with her family.
She is survived by: Husband- I.UP. Sharp of Andrews; one Son - Billy Bob Kennedy of La Port, Texas; three Daughters - Joyce Hammond of Andrews; Jan Nelson of Midland; Naomi Orman of Midland; three Step-Daughters - Claudia Duncan of Dallas; Teresa Froelich of Andrews and Yalanda Joyce Sims of Lake Ellsinore, California; twenty-two grandchildren and a Host of great-grandchildren.

KENNETH HEFLIN
December 11, 2005

Kenneth Heflin, 67, of Chaparral, New Mexico passed away Sunday, December 11, 2005 at his daughters home in Andrews.
A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday at his Parents Home in Abilene. Burial will follow in the Heflin Family Cemetery in May, Texas.
Kenneth was born October 2, 1938 at De Leon, Texas. He was a Rail Road Diesel Electrician, he retired with Southern Pacific Rail Road.
He loved to fish and hunt and go camping. He also really enjoyed watching TV and among his favorite shows was Walker - Texas Ranger.
He is Survived by: Sons - Kelly Heflin of Tucson, Arizona; Kenny Heflin of Roby, Texas; Daril Anthes of Virginia and Darin Anthes of El Paso, Texas; Daughters - Shari Smith of Andrews and Shannon Heflin of Brownwood, Texas; His Parents - Paul and Ola Heflin of Abilene; one Brother - Ron Heflin of Azle, Texas and one Sister - Paula Sullivan of Abilene, Texas; and 8 grandchildren.

JOHN PARKER
December 9, 2005

Services for John F. Parker, 90 of Andrews, will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 13, 2005, in McNett Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Ted Short, pastor of Grace Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Andrews North Cemetery under the direction of McNett Funeral Home.
John died Friday, December 9, 2005 in Andrews. He was born on May 15, 1915 at Ballinger, Texas. He married Charlene Chesney on May 23, 1942 in Ballinger. They came to Andrews in 1950. John worked for Pan American Oil Company as a roustabout and later worked to Frost Bread Company retiring in 1970. John was a member of the Grace Baptist Church.
Survivors include; wife Charlene, Andrews, daughter, June Holcombe and husband Weldon, Payne Springs, Texas, three grandchildren, Lisa Rhoades, LeAnne Wilson and Diana Nichols and six great-grandchildren.

FORREST W. NOBLE
December 7, 2005

Funeral services for Forrest W. Noble, 88, of Andrews will be 2:00 PM Friday, December 9, 2005 at McNett Funeral Home Chapel in Andrews with Rodney Noble of Andrews and Elder Gail Faries of Lubbock officiating. Burial will follow in the Andrews West Cemetery.
Forrest passed on Wednesday, December 7, 2005 at Permian Regional Medical Center in Andrews.
He was born January 6, 1917 in Eastland County, Texas to Jess William Noble and Jennie Stella Lee Noble. He was raised in Eastland County and graduated from Cisco High School. He married Margaret Oleta Turknett on April 16, 1937 in Cisco. He served in the Civil Service during WWII and moved to Andrews in 1946 from Abilene. Forrest and Oleta owned and operated Noble Oldsmobile in Andrews from 1946-1990, and he believed in driving a fine automobile. They received the highest customer satisfaction index award of 100% from Oldsmobile and was awarded the Oldsmobile Elite Dealer for the entire nation. Forrest was a charter member for the Andrews Downtown Lion's Club and Andrews Rotary Club; and served as Andrews City Councilman from 1948-1952. He loved his pecan orchard and was a member and deacon of the Andrews Primitive Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife: Oleta Noble of Andrews; 2 sons: Rodney Noble and wife Jane of Andrews, Bradley Noble of Houston; 1 daughter: Kathleen Brewer and husband Richard of Midland; 1 sister: Mary Louise Key of Longview; 6 grandchildren: Peter Brewer and wife Nanette of Memphis, TN, Lori West and husband David of San Antonio, Kari Atchley and husband Randi of Midland, Marla Brewer of Dallas, Carmen Castleberry and husband Bryan of Bertram, April Aglipay and husband Greg of Allen; and 11 great-grandchildren: Matthew Brewer, Jody and Tyler West, Avery and Kirsten Atchley, Amy Beth, Taylor and Connor Castleberry, Sarah Ashlee, Zoe Mae, and Eli Aglipay.

DR. JOHN R. KANTOR
December 7, 2005

Funeral services for John Kantor, M.D., 81, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, will be 10:00 AM Tuesday at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Andrews. Rev. James Bridges of St. Stevens Catholic Church in Midland will officiate. Burial will be in Andrews North Cemetery.
A Rosary will be held at 7:00 PM Monday at McNett Funeral Home Chapel. with Rev. Bernard Gully of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Andrews will conduct the Rosary.
He died December 7, 2005 from complications of diabetes in an Albuquerque, New Mexico hospital.
Dr. Kantor was born November 11, 1924 in Sergeant, Nebraska to Dominik B. and Ruth Kantor. The family relocated to Fairbury, Nebraska when he was 12 years old and he graduated from Fairbury High School in 1943.
He was drafted into the United States Army and served as a medic in the 353rd Infantry regiment, 89th Infantry Division ("Rolling W") from June, 1943 until his discharge in April, 1946. Upon his return he attended Fairbury Junior College and the University of Nebraska, graduating from the University of Nebraska Medical School in 1953. He married Harriet Jane Kammerlohr December 20, 1950 in Omaha, Nebraska. She preceded him in death in July, 1999. Dr. Kantor practiced family medicine, including general surgery and obstetrics, which was his favorite part of being a doctor. He delivered over 3,000 babies, about 2,000 in Andrews. His first delivery was a set of twins born in 1953 at Providence Hospital in Waco. He was licensed in Nebraska, Texas, Colorado and South Dakota. Following the death of his wife, he moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico with his son where he enjoyed traveling and photography. He was a member of Saint Joseph on the Rio Grande Catholic Church and a lector and member of the Knights of Columbus, Brother Mathias Council 10560.
Survivors include three sons, John Kantor, Jr. of Canyon, Joe Kantor of Albuquerque and Ted Kantor of Mexia; one daughter, Lori of Arlington; six grandchildren; one brother, Joseph R. Kantor of Corvalis, Oregon; one sister, Doris B. Kantor, of Chicago, Illinois; five nephews; two nieces; and many friends.

MARY K. ARMSTRONG
December 4, 2005

Memorial services for Mary K. Armstrong, 62, of McCamey will be 6:00 PM Tuesday, December 6, 2005 at McNett Funeral Home Chapel in Andrews with Rev. Rodney Peacock of Andrews Presbyterian Church and Frank Parker, brother-in-law, of Muleshoe officiating.
Mary passed away on Saturday, December 3, 2005 at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa.
She was born April 30, 1943 in Hockley County, Texas to Johnnie Newton Spears and Winona Parthine Nickell. She was married to Danny O'Neil. She had lived in Winters, Pecos, Odessa, Big Lake, and moved to McCamey in 2004. She was a homemaker and a Baptist. She was preceded in death by her parents; and 1 brother.
She is survived by her husband: Danny O'Neil of McCamey; 1 daughter: Robyn Abney and husband Glen of Andrews; 1 son: Craig Armstrong; 1 sister: Johnnie Parker of Muleshoe; 2 brothers: Junior Wright of Amarillo and Curtis Spears of Lubbock; 7 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.
