Funeral services for Wesley M. Gross, 76, of Andrews, were at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Second Baptist Church in Andrews, with Leslie Gross Jr. officiating. Burial followed in Andrews Old Cemetery under the direction of McNett Funeral Home.
Mr. Gross passed away Sunday, Aug. 1, 2004, at Hospice House in Odessa.
He was born may 16, 1928, in Holliday. He married Geneva C. Mills on March 8, 1947, in Seagraves, and they moved to Andrews that year.
He was a backhoe operator for Coats Construction for many years.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Geneva Gross, in 1998; a son, Wesley A. Gross in 1950; and two grandsons, Randal Williford Jr. and Joshua Johnson.
He is survived by three daughters, Marquita Johnson of San Angelo, Linda Talasky of Chico and Debbie Dockery of Comanche; two brothers, J.B. Gross and Lonnie Gross, both of Andrews; one sister, Evalyn Bonham of Kermit; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Bill Ogden, 78, of Andrews will be 2:00 PM Monday, November 21, 2005 at the Andrews Presbyterian Church with Rev. Rodney B. Peacock and Rev. Bob Zap officiating. Burial will follow in the Andrews Old Cemetery.
Bill passed away on Friday, November 18, 2005 at Home Hospice House in Odessa.
He was born October 5, 1927 in Amarillo to Otis Ogden and Dixie Yantis Ogden. He attended Andrews High School til his sophomore year. His parents began to follow Defense Work in 1941, and he graduated from Pleasant Grove, Utah High School in 1944.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Occupation of World War II in Seoul, Korea. He returned to Andrews in 1947 and worked at the Phillips Fullerton Plant for a year. He graduated from Texas Tech University in 1952 with a B.S. degree in Petroleum Geology, and worked as a geologist for 10 years moving around the country. He moved back to Andrews in 1962 and assumed ownership and operation of the business his father left, Ogden Paint Service, which in 1972 was incorporated into OPSCO, Incorporated.
He worked with his son Patrick in his business, Ogden Sprinkler Systems, Inc. of Midland, after retiring from OPSCO. He served 3 years as a director of the Andrews Chamber of Commerce; served 10 years on the Permian General Hospital Board; served on boards and committees for the Boy and Girl Scouts; and served as a Deacon and Elder at the Andrews Presbyterian Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Otis Eugene in 1939.
He is survived by his 1 son: Patrick Eugene Ogden and wife Roxanne of Midland; 2 daughers: Teresa Ann Hart and husband Don of Midland and Sheila Ann Fernandez and husband Rene of Bonham; 7 grandchildren, Ryan Ogden, Lane Ogden Corby Ogden, Lisann Fernandez, Gavin Fernandez, Donnie Hart and Kayla Hart and 1 great-grandchild Evan Hart.

RACHEL MARIE SANDERS

Rachel Marie Sanders, 79, of Andrews passed away Sunday, October 16, 2005 at Permian Residential Care Center in Andrews.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday at McNett Funeral Home Chapel. Moody Connor will officiate. Burial will be in Andrews Old Cemetery under the direction of McNett Funeral Home.
Rachel was born June 5, 1926 in Quanah, Texas to W.O and Marie Worley. She married Dr. B.D. "Don" Sanders January 19, 1944 in Seminole, Texas.
They moved to Andrews in 1954, and opened an Optometrist Office where Rachel helped Don begin his Practice.
She enjoyed Playing Bridge and golf and liked to work cross word puzzles. She loved being with her family. She was a member of Andrews Church of Christ.
Her parents, her husband Don in 2001; and four brothers preceded her in death.
Rachel is survived by: Her Daughter - Suzanne Blackburn and husband Les of Andrews; Her Son - Kip Sanders and his wife Loy of Andrews; granddaughters- Christy Bright and husband Jeff of San Angelo; Jennifer Sanders of Midland; grandson-Trey Humphrey and wife April of Andrews; great-grandsons - Michael and Kyler Bright and Ryan Humphrey; great-granddaughter - Shayden Sanders.

She passed away on Thursday, September 8, 2005 at her residence in Midland.
She was born February 7, 1915 in Granbury, Texas to Allison W. McPherson and Dora June Vesta McPherson. She had worked as a secretary for the State of California in Long Beach for 30 years. She moved to Andrews in 1970, and worked for the Andrews Senior Center for 11 years. She married William Benjamin Keith on September 16, 1989 in Las Vegas, Nevada. She moved to Odessa in 1999. She was a member of the Andrews Eastern Star and the Andrews Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 4 brothers; 1 sister; and 1 stepson.
She is survived by; Husband: Ben Keith of Midland, her 2 stepdaughters: Ora Pearl Scott of Andrews and Jeannie Rogers of Wichita Falls; 2 stepsons: Alton Keith of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Roland Keith of Virginia Beach, Virginia; 2 brothers: Fred McPherson of Breckenridge, Texas and Tommy McPherson of State of Washington, 7 step grandchildren; and 15 step great-grandchildren.

He was born June 2, 2005 in Andrews to Beau Truman Casey Orson, Sr. and Amanda Lea Wilson Orson.

She passed away on Wednesday, September 14, 2005 at Permian Regional Medical Center in Andrews.
She was born October 16, 1915 in Mitchell County, Texas to Albert Lowrey McCarley and Lila Sanders McCarley. She has lived in Andrews since 1924 and graduated from Andrews High School in 1934. She married William James "Jim" Underwood, Jr. on October 18, 1936 in Westbrook, Texas. She was a charter member of the First Baptist Church and was the first secretary for the church. Most of all she was a great housewife, mother, and MeMaw.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 1 sister: Grace Dowlen; and 1 brother: A.W. McCarley.
She is survived by her husband: Jim Underwood of Andrews; 1 son: James Underwood of Andrews; 3 sisters: Ruby Walker of Lubbock, Ila Fay Dement of Pasadena, Texas, and Louis Irwin of Odessa; and 1 grandchild: Creecy Hare of Las Vegas, Nevada; and a loved family member: Dee Becker of Midland (formerly of Andrews).

Katie "Kay" Gabriel, 88, of Andrews passed away Monday, October 31, 2005 at Permian Regional Medical Center in Andrews.
Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Friday, November 4, 2005 at McNett Funeral Home Chapel. Dr. Jeff Donnell, Pastor of First Baptist Church in Andrews will officiate. Burial will be in Andrews West Cemetery.
Kay was born August 2, 1917 in Converse, Louisiana to George Robert and Alpha Sebren. She moved to Andrews in 1947 from Louisiana. She married "Dave" Monroe Gabriel on November 18, 1961 in Andrews.
She was a homemaker and longtime member of First Baptist Church in Andrews. She was also a member of the Philresters Club. She enjoyed her children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by; her parents; three brothers and two sisters.
She is survived by: Two Daughters - Bonnie Hitch and husband Donnell of Andrews; Shirley Parker and Husband Doyle of Ruidoso, NM; one Step Son - Monty Gabriel of Indiana; one Sister - Jewell Higginbotham of Port Allen, Louisiana; Five grandchildren, Thirteen great-grandchildren and Four great-great-grandchildren.
MOLLIE WADE PRICE
1910-2006
Odessa Our Mother and grandmother fought a hard battle, she won the victory, and has gone to her Heavenly home to be with her Heavenly Father, God, and her loved ones that have gone before, what a reunion that will be! She passed away February 16, 2006 at Odessa Hospice.
Mollie Wade Price was born March 16, 1910 to P.W. (Uncle Pal) and Lilla Martin in Whiteflat, Texas where she also graduated from high school. She accepted Christ as her Savior as a young girl. Mrs. Price was a member of Temple Baptist Church since 1967.
She married Bunyan Sterling Price November 3, 1934. He preceded her in death on December 23, 1971.
Mollie came to Andrews County in 1955 and moved to Andrews in 1957 where she started a career in childcare for the public. She later moved to Odessa in 1967 where she continued childcare until her late 80’s in her home at 1910 N. Hancock. She touched the lives of many children and babies. It was usual to see her in the chair with three or four on her lap rocking. Every morning when it came time for the little ones to come to Price’s house, they were ready because she had plenty of love for them all. Even working hard, she was ready to do for her children and grandchildren. She was always there for her family.
Preceding her in death are her husband, parents, five sisters, three brothers, a grandson, and a great-grandson.
Mrs. Price is survived by her daughter Mildred and Odell Arnold, Stratford; daughter Wilma and Oliver Goldston, Lake Brownwood; son Melvin and Lou Ann Price, Odessa; and son Jerry and Susan Price, Denton. grandchildren are Donny and Janice Arnold, Judy Gretz, Debbie and Gerald McDaniel, Ronnie and Dena Arnold, Terry and Mike Elder, Matt Goldston, Kelly Goldston, Rick and Connie Price, Mike and Tammy Price, Lori and Terry Wilkerson, Brian and Dana Price, and Kristie and Jave Tan. Twenty-eight great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday in the Temple Baptist Church Chapel with Rev. Kyle Rodgers officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. grandsons will be pallbearers.

He passed away on Sunday, October 29, 2006 at Permian Regional Medical Center in Andrews.
He was born December 9, 1953 in Dallas to James Martin McCullough and Laverne White McCullough. He has lived in Andrews for 45 years and has worked as a pumper for Bald Eagle in Andrews for 14 years. He married Carolyn Jo Martin on June 15, 1979 in Andrews. He was attending the First Assembly of God Church in Andrews. He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 sister.
He is survived by his wife: Carolyn McCullough of Andrews; 1 son: Jerry McCullough of Odessa; 1 daughter: Carrie Lavender of Andrews; 2 brothers: Randy McCullough of Andrews and Glen McCullough of Eunice, New Mexico; 2 sisters: Barbara McCullough and Vickie Wilson of Andrews; 7 grandchildren; mother-in-law: Betty Combs of Alba; and father-in-law: Walter D. Martin of Andrews.
James Andrew “Jim” Fowler

Funeral services will be held here Monday at 3 p.m. for James Andrew Fowler, 70, long-time resident of Andrews County.
Services will be held in the Second Baptist Church with Rev. C.E. Wainscott, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in Old Andrews Cemetery under the direction of Singleton’s Funeral Home.
Fowler died in a Mount Vernon, Illinois hospital. Fowler and his wife had moved to Mount Vernon three weeks ago to live with a daughter.
He was a retired farmer and a native of Alabama. He was member of the Baptist Church and Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include his wife, Mary; two daughters, Mrs. Lola Mae Gross of Andrews and Mrs. Oleta Flack of Mount Vernon; four sons, Edward, Barney, and James all of Andrews, and J.A. of Waterbury, Conn.; his father, W.G. Fowler, Abilene, and a Sister, Mrs. Janie Van Zant, Odessa.
