Funeral services for Rev. Mitchell H. Culp, 80, of Andrews, will be 2:00 PM Sunday, March 13, 2005 at the Andrews Church of God with Pastor Timothy G. Chenault of Sherman, Pastor Jason Connor of Andrews, and Pastor Ken Redmond of Midland officiating. Military graveside services will follow in the Andrews West Cemetery.
He died Thursday, March 10, 2005 at Hospice Midland Inpatient Unit at Midland Memorial Hospital.
He was born July 31, 1924 in Clifton, Texas, to Obadiah Culp and Alice Weldon Culp. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He married Chloe Southern on June 2, 1942 in Mineral Wells. He had pastored churches in Progress, Texas, and Grandview and Mt. Vernon, Washington. He had pastored the Andrews Church of God for 23 years. He also worked as a painter for Permian Regional Medical Center in Andrews, for 30 years. He was a member of the Andrews Church of God.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers: O.D. and Bob Culp; and a granddaughter: Karina Culp.
He is survived by his wife: Chloe Culp of Andrews; 2 sons: Charles Culp of Lewisville and Don Culp of East Wenatchee, Washington; 2 daughters: Bonnie Edenfield of Bend, Oregon and Sherrie Taylor of Lewisville; 1 sister: Opal Webster of Mineral Wells; 9 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

JAMES 'FRANK' LEONARD

Funeral services for James Frank Leonard, 76, of Andrews, will be Wednesday, November 8, 2006 at McNett Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Glenn Hammack, Pastor of House of Mercy Ministries. Burial will follow in the Andrews North Cemetery.
Frank passed away Friday, November 3, 2006 in Odessa. He was born on May 22, 1930 in Davidson County, North Carolina. He married Remona Thomson on July 15, 1953 in Killeen, Texas. Frank was an engine operator for El Paso Natural Gas company for 31 years. He retired in 1986. Frank was a member of the House of Mercy Ministries and was a veteran serving in the Army in the Korea conflict.
Survivors include, wife; Remona, Andrews. sons; Mike and Kevin of Andrews and Tony of Lamesa, brothers Junior Leonard, Mocksville, North Carolina and Bennie Leonard, Lexington, North Carolina; sisters, Leona Leonard and Carolyn Presnell both of Lexington, North Carolina and 5 grandchildren.
Frank was preceded in death by a daughter Mona Kay Leonard, a grandchild Christopher and 2 brothers, Tom and Fred.
JOHN A. DUFFY, SR.

Funeral services for John A. Duffy, Sr., 80, of Andrews, will be 2:00 PM Thursday, September 28, 2006 at Northcrest Baptist Church in Andrews, with Rev. Harvey Enriquez, Pastor, of Andrews, and Rev. Ron Ragland of Hobbs, New Mexico, officiating. Burial will follow in the Andrews Old Cemetery.
He passed away on Tuesday, September 26, 2006 at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa.
He was born on July 5, 1926 in Miles, Texas, to Pat Duffy and Addie Rose Gotcher Duffy. He served in the U.S. Army Air Force during WWII. He married Audra Lavern Duffy on February 3, 1948 in Andrews, and they lived in Andrews, from 1947-1948. He worked as a drilling superintendent for Superior Oil Company for 40 years, which took them all over the country. They moved back to Andrews, from the Philippines, in 1976. He loved to play golf and was a member of the Andrews Country Club. He was a member of Northcrest Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; and 2 sisters.
He is survived by his wife: Lavern Duffy of Andrews; 1 son: John Duffy, Jr. and wife Mary Jane of Odessa; 1 brother: Darrell Duffy of Cameron, Louisiana; 1 sister: Faye Southern of Andrews; 1 granddaughter: Carrie O'Neil and husband Cory of Flowermound, Oregon; and 2 great-grandchildren: Jordynn and Logan O'Neil of Flowermound, Oregon.
HUBERT D. WILSON

Hubert D. Wilson 73, of Andrews passed away Monday, September 25, 2006 at Permian Regional Medical Center in Andrews.
Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, September 27, 2006 at the Andrews West Cemetery. Rev. Dwayne Wheat of Big Spring, Texas will officiate. Arrangements are by McNett Funeral Home.
Mr. Wilson was born March 12, 1933 in Stonewall County, Texas. He lived in Lubbock, for several years and was a diesel mechanic for Rip Griffin Truck Stop until he retired in 1988, and then moved to Andrews. He also lived at Lake Thomas and Lamesa, before moving back to Andrews, last December.
He was a Baptist and he loved to fish, play dominoes and checkers. He was preceded in death by his son - Randy Wilson in 1995, and several brothers and sisters.
He is survived by: two brothers - Troy Wilson of New Deal, Texas. and Raymond Wilson of Meadow, Texas; to sisters - Orlena Boydston of Jayton, Texas, and Mary Lou Spears of Alvin, Texas; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
KENNETH V. MOORHEAD

Kenneth V. Moorhead, 81, of Andrews, passed away Wednesday, September 20, 2006 at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa.
Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Sunday, September 24, 2006 at Acton Cemetery near Granbury.
Kenneth was born September 7, 1925 in Eldorado, Oklahoma. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He married Emma Gebert on August 24, 1959 in San Francisco, California. Kenneth was a Sea Captain for 30 years and sailed Oil Tanker Ships all over the world for Standard Oil Company. He moved to Andrews, in 1979 from California, and farmed around the Seminole area. He loved the sea, his farmland, loved to watch CNN, and other news programs. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents; wife - Emma Moorhead in 1976; sisters - Lou Boyd, Benita Price Parish; and a nephew - Robby Churchill.
He is survived by his daughter - Jeanette Moorhead of San Francisco, CA; 1 sister - Omita Flowers of Chicago, Illinois, nephews - William Price and his wife Paralee of Andrews; Charles Zethreaus, Roy Zethreaus, and Mack Churchhill, all of Ft. Worth; great-niece - Tammie Cook of Andrews.

She passed away on Wednesday, September 20, 2006 at her residence in Andrews.
She was born on March 3, 1942 in Wichita Falls, to Elbert Carlton Crow and Esta Ethelynn Parks Crow. She married Buddy Seale on December 19, 1959 in Vernon. They moved to Andrews, in 1978 from Fort Stockton. She had worked for J. Cleo Thompson Oil Company as a secretary since 1978. She was a hard worker, perfectionist, great financial manager, loyal and very giving, enjoyed playing bingo, and was a prankster. She had been involved in St. Agnes Catholic Church in Fort Stockton, while living there. She was a member of Our Lady Of Lourdes Catholic Church in Andrews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Buddy, on September 17, 2002; twin sons: Charles Keith and Buddy Carlton Seale in 1972; and her parents.
She is survived by her 2 daughters: Carla Gentry and husband David of Midland and Terry Seale of Big Spring; 1 sister: JoLynda McDonald of Scottland, Texas; 1 brother: Lester Crow of Dumont, Colorado; 5 grandchildren: Jennifer Fletcher, Mark Morgan, Tareh Kratz, Cody Bryant, and Lindy Mercer; and 3 great-grandchildren: Aubri, Chayna, and Charles Fletcher.

He passed away on Wednesday, September 13, 2006 at Permian Regional Medical Center in Andrews.
He was born November 14, 1915 in Portales, Texas, to Jesus Franco and Fausta Sanchez Franco. He married Refugio Carrasco on October 5, 1944 in Ojinaga, Mexico. They lived in McCamey, Crane, and moved to Andrews in 1989. He was a rancher, farmer, and had worked for Texas Department of Transportation in McCamey. He was preceded in death by his wife on July 4, 2002; his parents; 5 brothers; and 4 sisters.
He is survived by his 1 daughter: Delma Franco Gonzales and husband E.L. of Andrews; granddaughter that he raised: Priscilla Franco Guerrero of Bacliff; 3 sons: Paul Franco and wife Sueann of Odessa, Angel Franco and wife Lupita of Midland, and Silvino Franco and wife Ester of Midland; 14 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.

He passed away on Thursday, September 7, 2006 at his residence in Andrews.
He was born on May 18, 1933 in Colorado City, to Tomas Madrid and Antonio Munoz Madrid. He married Ruth Madrid on May 30, 1951 in Colorado City, and they moved to Andrews, in 1963. He was a building contractor. He was a member of Our Lady Of Lourdes Catholic Church in Andrews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 1 son; 2 brothers; and 1 sister.
He is survived by his wife: Ruth Madrid of Andrews; 3 sons: Daniel Madrid of Brownwood, Jesse Madrid, Jr. and wife, Betty of Andrews, and Johnny Madrid of Austin; 3 daughters: Irene Monroy and husband, Cesar, Amelia Bustamante and husband, Alfredo, and Ida Rodriquez and husband, Jesse, all of Andrews; 2 sisters: Maria Lujan of Midland and Florencia Heredia of Colorado City; 14 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.

THERA STULTZ
September 6, 2006
Thera Stultz, age 88, passed away Wednesday, September 6, 2006 at Permian Residential Care Center in Andrews, Texas.
She was born February 22, 1918 in Rockwall County, Texas, to Richard G. and Tennie Williams. She graduated from Garland High School in 1936 and that same year, on August 1st, married Bill Briley Stultz in Richardson, Texas. The couple moved to Ballinger, in 1949, where both were active community members.
She worked as a sales clerk at Higginbotham Department Store, and many Ballinger residents remember the wonderful fudge and candy Thera made. She loved to cook and sew and also delivered Meals on Wheels. She was ordained an elder of the First Presbyterian Church of Ballinger, on January 28, 1990 and was very active in the work of the church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, by her husband, Bill, and by several siblings: Winnie Bozman, Clarence Williams, Corine Blackmon, Cecil Williams, Aliene Bozman, Mildred King, and Elsie Hunt.
Mrs. Stultz is survived by many loving family members including her children, Bobbie McMillan of Christoval, Texas; Rex Stultz and his wife, Marty, of Eden, Texas; Millie Henderson and her husband, Bob, of Andrews, Texas; and Beth Penley also of Andrews.
Also surviving are grandchildren Scott Flanagan and wife, Mylea, of Ballinger; Kellie Ebenstein and husband, Steve, of Greenwood, Texas; Ross Stultz and wife, Mary Lisa, of Menard, Texas; Reid Stultz and wife, Kelly, of San Angelo. Eleven great-grandchildren
survive: Alyssa, Shane, Avery, and Ben Flanagan of Ballinger; Sterlin, Kambree, Slade, and Sawyer Ebenstein of Greenwood, Texas; Stran and Slone Stultz of Menard, Texas; and Hadley Stultz of San Angelo.
Also surviving are a sister, Monnie Fay Price, and a brother Woodrow Williams; a special brother and sister-in-law, Rex and Alice Stultz of Dallas; a dear friend, Louise King; step-grandsons, Mark Henderson of Edmond, Oklahoma, and Todd Henderson of San Angelo; a step-granddaughter, Lisa Gordy of Coppell, Texas; and eight step-great-grandchildren.
There will be a visitation Sunday, September 10, 2006 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Lange Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Monday, September 11, 2006 at 10:00 a.m.at the First Presbyterian Church in Ballinger, with Kary Rawlings officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Scott Flanagan, Ross Stultz, Reid Stultz, Steve Ebenstein, Todd Henderson, Dale Halfmann, R. J. Laird, and Tom Sykes. Honorary pallbearers are F. E. Clayton, Bob Webb, Harry Tinkler, Winton Milliff, Milton Redman, Myles Evans, Bill Sykes, Tanner Sykes, Chauncey Mansell, James Fowler, and Casey Laird.

Services for Charlene Parker, 83 of Athens, formerly of Andrews, will be 2:00 PM Thursday, September 7, 2006 in McNett Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Ted Short, pastor of Grace Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Andrews North Cemetery under the direction of McNett Funeral Home.
Charlene passed away Sunday, September 3, 2006 in Athens. She was born on May 5, 1923 in Sweetwater, Texas. She married John Parker on May 23, 1942 in Ballinger, Texas. Charlene was a beautician in Andrews for many years before retirement. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Andrews.
Survivors include; daughter, Kathryn and husband Weldon Holcombe, Payne Springs, Texas; two sisters, Evelyn Gardner, New Boston, Texas and Jean Templeton, Chandler, Texas, three grandchildren, Lisa Rhoades, LeAnne Wilson, both of Payne Springs, Texas and Diana Nichols, McKinney, Texas, six great-grandchildren, Charlene was preceded in death by her husband, John Parker on December 9, 2005. Also 3 brothers, Buford, John and Bill Chesney and 1 sister, Juandell Middleton.
