Orlando Villa, 30, of Odessa (formerly of Andrews), passed away Monday, May 7, 2007 at his home in odessa.
Memorial services will be held at 4:00 PM, Friday at McNett Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Rick Doyle of Means Memorial United Methodist Church in Andrews, will officiate. Services are entrusted to McNett Funeral Home in Andrews.
Orlando was born April 12, 1977 in Ojiaga, Mexico. he moved to Andrews, in 1982 with his family.
He married Brandy Martin July 31, 1999 in Andrews.
He was a lineman for Sun Electric for the past several years.
He is survived by: wife - Brandy Villa of Odessa; two sons - Leyton and Jonathan Villa of Odessa; one daughter - Caymberlyn Villa of Odessa; his parents - Catarino and Gloria Villa of Andrews; grandmother - Tomasa Hernandez of Andrews; one brother - Hasam Villa of Odessa; and two sisters - Cynthia Valdez of Edmond, Oklahoma; and Ivette Villa of San Antonio, Texas.

Alvaro (AL) C. Gonzalez, 60, of Andrews, passed away Sunday, May 6, 2007 at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa.
Rosary service will be 7:00 PM, Tuesday at McNett Funeral Home Chapel in Andrews. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Wednesday, May 9, 2007 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Andrews. Father Bernard Gully will officiate. Burial will be in Andrews North Cemetery, under the direction of McNett Funeral Home.
Al was born, March 8, 1947 in Eagle Pass, Texas. He moved to Andrews, in 1969 from Kermit. Al was very proud to have served in the US Army during the Viet Nam war.
He started his Mexican food restaurant, El Amigo, in Andrews, in 1980, and it has grown into one of the most popular restaurants in Andrews, and people from all over the area come to get a taste of the wonderful food, and enjoy the friendly atmosphere.
Al loved football, and the Dallas Cowboys. Al loved being with his family. He always tried to help people when he could, and he had a soft spot for stray animals.
Al was a member of the Andrews Chamber of Commerce and a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Andrews.
He is survived by: wife - Sylvia Gonzalez of Houston, Texas; long-time friend - Merced Burciaga of Andrews; two sons - Alvaro Gonzalez, III of El Paso, Texas; Cristopher B. Gonzalez of Andrews; three daughters - Melissa Gonzalez and Erica Gonzalez both of Spring, Texas and Crystal B. Gonzalez of Andrews; one brother - Juan C. Gonzalez of Loving, NM; two sisters - Otila G. Bell of Odessa; Cruz G. Bailey of Rio Rancho, NM; and 2 grandchildren.

Services for Rose Hart, 92, of Andrews, will be a Graveside service, 2:00 PM, Wednesday, May 9, 2007 at Canton Township Cemetery, Canton, Kansas. Officiating will be the Rev. Richard Brooks, pastor of Canton United Methodist Church. Services are under the direction of McNett Funeral Home of Andrews.
Rose passed away Sunday, May 6, 2007 at Permian Residential Care Center in Andrews. She was born on March 18, 1915 in Doles Park, Kansas. She married Ralph Hart on September 22, 1937 in Marion County, Kansas. Mr. Hart preceded her in death on August 19, 1984. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Andrews.
Survivors include: daughters, Margery Wheeler, Houston, Texas and Gaye Arthur, Andrews, Texas; brothers, Harold Schmidt, McPherson, Kansas and Max Schmidt, Thorton, Colorado; sister, Betty Johnson, Strasburg, Colorado; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Carol Hart and a son, Gerold Hart.
CHARLES RAY TEAKELL

Services for Charles Ray Teakell, 55, of Andrews, will be a graveside service 2:00 PM, Thursday, April 26, 2007 in the Andrews Old Cemetery. Officiating will be Rev. Glenn Hammack. Services are under the direction of McNett Funeral Home.
Charles passed away at his residence Tuesday, April 24, 2007. He was born on October 3, 1951 in Driggs, Idaho. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam war and also served several years in the National Guard.
Survivors include: mother, Rosie Teakell, Andrews; sister, Bobbie Sue Vail, Garland.
His father preceded him in death on May 21, 2002.
CPL. RAY BEVEL

Cpl. Ray M. Bevel, 22, of Andrews, was killed in combat, Saturday, April 21, 2007 in Baghdad, Iraq, while proudly serving our Country in the United States Army.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM, Monday, April 30, 2007 at the James Roberts Civic Center in Andrews. The Rev. Doug Kello, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church in Weimar, Texas, will be officiating. Graveside services will be held in the Andrews North Cemetery.
Ray was born October 4, 1984 in Breckenridge, Texas.
He graduated from Andrews High School in 2003. His favorite class was metal shop and competed numerous times at the state level. He enjoyed building trailers and barbecue pits. Ray loved to work with the youth group at First Baptist Church in Andrews, loved going on ski trips with the church, and loved playing golf. Ray married Brooke Hooper on December 10, 2005 in Odessa, Texas.
After joining the Army, Ray graduated basic training in Fort Benning, Georgia. Cpl. Bevel served with the 10th Mountain Division, Air I, Charlie Company, Ft. Drum, New York.
Cpl. Bevel was preceded in death by grandparents, Graham Bevel and Jess Hobbs.
Ray is survived by: his wife, Brooke Bevel of Odessa; his parents, Jerry and Lonna Bevel of Andrews; mother, Christy Hobbs Bevel of Lubbock; brothers, Jerry Don Bevel of Odessa, Private Rusty Smith of Fort Wainright, Alaska; sister: Keisha Bevel of Andrews; grandparents: Ruth Willis of Rockwall, Texas; Betty Hobbs of Odessa; Jerry and Susan Hallmark of Lingerville, Texas; great-grandmothers, Willie Mae Hallmark of Stephenville, Texas; Dorothy Wiseman of Belmont, Illinois; uncles, David Hobbs, Mike Bevel, Greg Bevel, and Don Hallmark.
The family request the memorial gifts be made to the Andrews County Veterans Memorial, 700 West Broadway, Andrews, Texas 79714, or to the Care Packages for Troups in Memory of Cpl. Ray Bevel, at First Basin Credit Union in Andrews, Texas.
Public visitation for Cpl. Bevel will take place Saturday, 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Sunday 12:00PM to 3:00 PM and again from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
JAMES (Jim) REITZER

James (Jim) Reitzer, 79, of Andrews, passed away Sunday, April 8, 2007 at Permian Regional Medical Center in Andrews.
Funeral services will be 10:00 AM, Wednesday at Northcrest Baptist Church in Andrews.
Graveside services will be 10:00 AM, Thursday at Hillcrest Baptist Church in Uvalde, Texas
Jim was born May 21, 1927 in Hondo, Texas.
He married Wanda Beckwith, June 28, 1986 in Uvalde, Texas. They moved to Andrews, in 1992 from Uvalde.
Jim worked as a truck driver for many years. He enjoyed fishing, traveling and listening to fiddle music.
Jim is survived by: wife - Wanda Reitzer of Andrews; sister - Ethel Hawkins of Uvalde; step-daughter - Lynne Johnson of Amarillo, Texas; mother-in-law - Dorothy Skidmore of Andrews; sisters-in-law - Shirley Loyd and Carol Bishop both of Andrews; brother-in-law - Jack Beckwith of Odessa.

Eleaner P. Burris, 79, of Andrews, passed away Sunday, April 8, 2007 at Permian Regional Medical Center in Andrews.
Memorial services will be held at a later date. Eleaner was born on September 12, 1927 in Drumright, Oklahoma. She married LeRoy Burris on November 27, 1950 in Drumright, Oklahoma. Mr. Burris preceded her in death on October 18, 2004.
Survivors include: daughters, Laura Burris, Andrews; and Gloria Ray, Herford, Texas; 3 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Services for Beatrice Gaines, 83, of Canadian, Oklahoma, formerly of Andrews, will be 10:00 AM, Tuesday, April 10, 2007 in McNett Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Andrews Old Cemetery under the direction of McNett Funeral Home.
Beatrice passed away Friday, April 6, 2007 in McAlester, Oklahoma. She was born on August 17, 1923 in Corsicana, Texas. She married Robert Lee "Chuck" Gaines on June 24, 1939 in Erath County, Texas. Robert preceded her in death in 1979.
Beatrice was a retired nurses aid and a member of the Northcrest Baptist Church.
Survivors include: son, Doug Gaines, Canadian, Ok; daughters, Betty Gaines, Andrews; and Linda Drake, Glenrose, TX; 6 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Services for Gilbert Gonzales, 69, of Andrews, will be 10:00 AM, Monday, April 9, 2007 at McNett Funeral Home Chapel. A prayer service will be Sunday at 7:00 PM in McNett Chapel. Burial will be in the Andrews North Cemetery.
Gilberto passed away Thursday morning, April 5, 2007 at the Home Hospice House in Odessa. He was born on May 2, 1937 in Poteet, Texas. He married Guadalupe Ramos on October 16, 1956 in Big Spring, Texas. He was a truck driver for several years before illness forced retirement. He was a Catholic.
Survivors include: wife, Guadalupe of Searcy, Arkansas; special friend, Ida Garcia, Andrews; sons, Max Lopez and Flario Gonzales both of Odessa; Gilbert Gonzales, Jr. and Ruben Gonzales, both of Andrews; Johnny Gonzales, Little Rock, Arkansas; daughters, Bruna Mangan, Bakersfield, California, Rosario Cartwright and Josie Todd both of Monahans; Mary Jane Finley, Searcy, Arkansas; brothers, Valdemar Gonzales, George Gonzales, Roger Gonzales and Guillermo Gonzales all of Andrews; sisters, Julia Gonzales, Adrian, Michigan, Elida Balderas, San Antonio, Texas; Alicia Rivera, Poteet, Texas and Celia Gonzales, Andrews; 26 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
CHARLIE VALLES

Charlie Valles, 18, of Andrews, passed away early Tuesday, April 3, 2007.
Funeral Services will be 10:00 AM, Friday at Calvary Baptist Church in Andrews. Burial will be in Andrews North Cemetery under the direction of McNett Funeral Home.
Charlie was born June 3, 1988 in Andrews, to Carlos and Mary Valles. Charlie was a life long resident of Andrews. He was a senior at Andrews High School.
Charlie loved to ride motorcycles and dirt bikes. he also loved NASCAR and going to races at Texas Motor Speedway with his Dad. Charlie was a hard worker and was working for Wood Group ESP in Midland.
Charlie is survived by: his parents - Carlos and Mary Valles of Andrews; his little sisters - Chelsea Marie and Amanda Elizabeth Valles both of Andrews; grandmothers - Luz Hernandez and Maria Valles both of Andrews; and great-grandmother - Juanita Soto of Mexico.
