Alma Irene Teer, 84, of Andrews passed away Monday, December 31, 2007 at Midland Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Thursday at Means Memorial United Methodist Church in Andrews. Rev. Rick Doyle will officiate. Burial will be in Andrews Old Cemetery under the direction of McNett Funeral Home.
Mrs. Teer was born January 20, 1923 in Ft. Worth, Texas. She married Harold Sidney Roberts March 13, 1948, He preceded her in death in April, 1964.
She married Walter Whit Teer December 25, 1971, he preceded her in death in November of 2005.
She was a manager for Sears, and she and Mr. Teer lived in Odessa from 1971 until they moved to Andrews in 1999. She loved playing games and working puzzles and cross word puzzles. She enjoyed watching games shoes on television.
She loved to help and care for people when they were in a time of need.
She is survived by; Daughters - Sidney Sue Roberts Gaston and husband Gary of Andrews; Susan Omohundro of Lubbock; and Charlotte Egerton and husband Tom of Mckay, Idaho; Two Sons - George Teer and wife Liz of Flower Mound, Texas; David Teer and wife Sharon of Athol, Idaho; one brother - Thomas Harp Little of Dallas, Texas; 3 grandchildren - Rob Garon Gaston of Midland, Whitney Gale Benton of Abilene and Westbrook Teer of Dallas; three great-grandchildren - Garon Gaston Kate Gaston and Selah Benton.
The Family ask that memorial gifts be made to the American Cancer Society or Home Hospice.
JUANITA PRICE GERALD

Services for Juanita Price Gerald 76 of Andrews, will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 2, 2008 at Means Memorial United Methodist Church. Officiating will be Rev. Rick Doyle, pastor and Rev. Bryan Johnson, chaplain of Home Hospice. Burial will follow in the Andrews Old Cemetery under the direction of McNett Funeral Home.
Juanita passed away Saturday evening, December 29, 2007, at the Permian Regional Care Center. She was born in Andrews on May 14, 1931. Juanita married Charles Gerald, Sr. on September 25, 1949 in Lovington, New Mexico. Juanita worked as a telephone operator for Andrews Telephone Company which became GTE Telephone, from 1946 to 1993. She was a member of Means Memorial United Methodist Church.
Survivors include, husband; Charles Gerald, Sr., Andrews, daughter; Reba Stilwell, Andrews, sons; Kerby Gerald, Andrews and Kelly Gerald, Miami, Flordia, brothers; Reeder Price and Bob Price both of Andrews, sisters; Jean Fowler, San Antonio, Texas and Joan Zaremski, Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
A daughter, Nita Dower preceded Juanita in death on September 26, 1996.
LOUIS W. "CHIEF" LONG

Louis W. "Chief" Long, 79, of Andrews, passed away Friday, December 21, 2007 at Regency Hospital in Odessa.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Sunday at Andrews Church of Christ. Mark Wilson, Minister, of Christoval, Texas will officiate. Burial will be in Andrews North Cemetery under the direction of McNett Funeral Home.
Chief was born January 12, 1928 in Bristo, Oklahoma. He was a member of the Yuchi Indian Tribe and was one of only five that still spoke the tribes language, and one of only about fifteen pure blood Yuchi members.
He served in the US Air Force from 1948 -1952. He married Patricia Ann Wann December 16, 1950 in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. Chief played softball while he was in the Air Force and was recruited by Pan-American Oil Company to play for their Simi-pro softball team in Andrews in 1952. He has lived in Andrews ever since.
Chief was a member of the Masonic Lodge for over 50 years. He was a member of the Andrews Church of Christ. And he was an avid fan of the Oklahoma Sooners.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Pat in 2004, and one son, Robby Long in 2002.
He is survived by: one son - Roddy and his wife Susan of Andrews; Five grandchildren - Cody Long of Amarillo, Tanner and wife Kori Long of Pampa Chase Long of San Angelo; Addison and McKenzie Long both of Andrews; Two great-grandchildren - Bryson and Tatem Long of Pampa; and a very special friend, Shirley Morrow of Abilene.

WENDELL RAY ELLETT

Services for Wendell R. Ellett, 54 of Andrews, will be 2:00 PM Monday, December 17, 2007 at McKinney Acres Baptist Church with pastor James Beard officiating. Burial will follow in the Andrews Old Cemetery under the direction of McNett Funeral Home.
Wendell passed away Friday, December 14, 2007 in Odessa. He was born on November 20, 1953 in Andrews. Wendell worked in the oil field for several years before retirement. He was a member of McKinney Acres Baptist Church. Family visitation at the funeral home will be Sunday, 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
Survivors include, mother; Roxie Adair, Andrews and a brother; Byrne Keith Robinson, Andrews.
He was preceded in death by a brother Joel Newton Robinson.
WAYNE E. FARMER

Services for Wayne E. Farmer, 68 of Andrews, will be 2:00 PM Saturday, December 15, 2007 in the Andrews Central Auditorium at N.W. Ave D and N.W. 3rd Street. Officiating will be Dr. H.A. Hanks and Ron Farmer. Services are under the direction of McNett Funeral Home.
Wayne passed away Wednesday, December 12, 2007 in Andrews. He was born on August 31, 1939 in Corsicana, Texas. Wayne married Rosemary Giles on September 10, 1957 at Corsicana, Texas. They moved to Andrews from Corsicana in 1957. Wayne worked for the sheriff's department in Andrews from 1966 to 1980, he was elected sheriff in 1980, he retired in 2000. Wayne served as president of the Sheriff's Association of Texas in 1998-1999. He was very active in the Salvation Army and the First Baptist Church. Rosemary preceded him in death on November 15, 2005.
Survivors include, daughter; Kay and husband Matt Andrews, Brady, Texas, son; Ron Farmer and wife Tina, Andrews, Texas, six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Wayne was preceded in death by a sister, Lola Beth Bower.

Merrett "Andy" Andrews, 81, of Andrews passed away Friday, December 7, 2007 at his home in Andrews.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Monday, December 10, 2007 at Means Memorial United Methodist Church in Andrews. Pastor Rick Doyle will officiate. Burial will be in Andrews West Cemetery under the direction of McNett Funeral Home.
Andy was born March 7, 1926 in Hyman, Texas.
He served in the 10th Mountain Division of the US Army during World War II. Andy was awarded the Bronze Star for his service.
Andy married Dorothy Terrell April 26, 1949 in Monahans, Texas. They moved to the Andrews area in 1949, they lived in oil camps and have been residents of Andrews ever since. Andy work for Phillips Petroleum as a mechanic and field operator for 38 years. He loved to play with his grandchildren.
Andy was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Myrtel Andrews and a son, Michael Andrews.
He is survived by his wife; Dorothy Andrews of Andrews, two sons; Matt Andrews and his wife Kay of Brady, Mark Andrews and his wife Sara of Lima, NY, one brother; Fred Andrews of Lubbock, two sisters; Mary Robison of College Station, Texas, Ruth Walker of Abilene, and Lorane Jackson of Hico, Texas, five grandchildren; Blake, Lance and Kyle all of Brady, Alyssa and Christopher of Midland.

Glenn "Sonny" Dyer, 73, of Austin (formerly of Andrews) passed away Friday, December 7, 2007 in Austin.
Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Sunday at Andrews North Cemetery. Rev. Kevin Covington will officiate. Services are under the direction of McNett Funeral Home.
Sonny was born July 10, 1934 in Orth, Texas. He lived in Andrews for over 50 years. he worked for Northen Natural Gas/ Enron for 35 years.
He served in the US Navy in the South Pacific 1956-1958.
He is survived by one daughter; Kristen Dyer of Hobbs, NM, one brother; Ronald Dyer of Lawton, OK, one sister; Janie L. Lee of Austin and two grandchildren; Seth Martin and Meagan Martin.
William Jasper "Bill" Gross

Services for Bill Gross, 68, of Andrews were held at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Second Baptist Church with the Rev. Ted Short officiating.
Burial was in the Andrews Cemetery under the direction of Singleton-Easterling Funeral Home of Andrews.
Gross, a longtime resident, died Sunday at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa after a brief illness. He was born March 3, 1923, in Seymour. He married Betty Turner Jan. 24, 1955, in Lovington, N.M.
Gross moved to Andrews in 1947 from Seagraves. He was owner and operator of Bill's Garage. He was a mechanic. He was a Baptist and a member of the Andrews Fire Department.
Survivors included his wife; two sons, James Jones of Andrews and Marvin Jones of Henderson; four daughters, Claudia Helms and Geraldine Helms, both of Odessa; Wanda Edmiston of Eldorado and Diane Page of San Angelo; five brothers, J.B. Gross, Wesley Gross, Leslie Gross, Lester Gross and Lonnie Gross, all of Andrews; a sister, Evelyn Bonham of Kermit; 17 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
The family suggested memorials to the Andrews Fire Department.

Lettie passed away in Andrews Tuesday, December 4, 2007. She was born on March 7, 1921 in Walton, Texas. She married J.W. "Jay" Moxley on July 12, 1947 in Anson, Texas. Jay preceded Lettie in death on June 22, 2007.
Lettie was a homemaker and a member of the Means Memorial United Methodist Church..
Survivors include, daughters; Cathy Ann and husband Lloyd Omenson, Sugar Land, Texas, Judy and husband Allan Heronema, Andrews, Texas and four grandchildren; Amanda and husband Phillip Jones, Christie Heronema, Audreey Omenson and Lana Omenson.
