Jon White
1968-2011
Jon White, 43, of Bandera, passed away on Saturday, March 19, 2011 in Boerne.
He was born on Jan. 11, 1968, in Anson. On Nov. 22, 1992, Jon married
his sweetheart, Connie Harmon, in San Antonio. The couple has two daughters, Haley Nicole, 17, and Mikayla Avajean, 13.
Jon served his country in the United Stated Navy and was honorably discharged from the service in 1988.
For the past 17 years, he was employed as a foreman in the fire sprinkler industry.
Survivors include his wife, Connie White; daughters, Haley and Mikayla; parents, Mark and Lois Stewart; sister, Julie; niece and nephew, Lacy and Andrew; aunt, Jeannine; and cousins, Jana, Jill and Lisa, as well as a host of friends and other relatives.
A celebration of Jon’s life will be held at 11 am, Friday, March 25, at Grimes Funeral Chapel in Bandera with Bro. Ray McLeaird officiating.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been set up at Grimes Funeral Chapel for the White family.

Trinidad F. Soto
Born in San Benito, TX on August 3, 1919
Departed on May 23, 2003 and resided in Kerrville, TX.

Mrs. Trinidad F. Soto, age 83 of Kerrville, passed away May 23, 2003 at a San Antonio hospital. She was born in San Benito, Texas on August 3, 1919 to Albino Flores and Maria Zuniga Flores. She married
Martin O. Soto in Brownsville, TX on November 20, 1953.
Mrs. Soto was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ingram. She was a very loving, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
She is survived by her husband, Martin Soto of Kerrville; daughter, Ninfa Nancy Cardenas and husband, Richard E. of San Jose, CA, and step-daughter, Aurora Morales and husband, Andres of Mercedes, TX; step-son, Cruz Soto and wife, Adelpha of Falfurrias, TX; brothers, Jesus Flores of Harlingen, TX and Tranquilino Flores of San Jose, CA; two grandchildren, Lisa Cardenas Lewis and husband, Jim of LaMesa, CA and Rick E. Cardenas, II of San Jose, CA; great granddaughter, Jessica Cardenas Lewis of LaMesa, CA; several nieces and nephews and a close family friend, Bryan Finley of Kerrville. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Juanita F. Rodriguez.
Services will be held Tuesday, May 27, 2003, 10:00 a.m. at Grimes Funeral Chapel with Brother Jimmy Allen officiating.
A visitation will be held, Monday, May 26, 2003 at Grimes Funeral Chapel from 5-7 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church in Ingram or to a charity of one’s choice.

Howard C. Eckhart
2013
Howard C. Eckhart, acclaimed Dallas florist, event planner and businessman, passed away Monday, April 1.
An exceptionally talented and gifted artist, he brought joy, glamour and the best of design into thousands of individual, social, charitable and corporate events.
Mr. Eckhart's career began over 50 years ago in the family business, Eckhart Flower Shop in Bandera. Most recently, he owned The Party and Event Designers and subsequently lent his expertise and experience to Magic Moments Parties and Events.
Mr. Eckhart held the professional designations of Certified Special Events Professional and TMF and served as a mentor to his fellow professionals. He became a strong force within several professional groups, including the National Association of Catering Executives (NACE), International Special Event Society and Meeting Professionals International. Recently, Mr. Eckhart received a Lifetime Achievement Award from NACE - the establishment of the Howard Eckhart Hall of Fame.
In addition, he was a proud descendent of the original Polish settlers of Bandera.
Mr. Eckhart will be long remembered by his family, friends, industry associates, employees and all those whose lives he brightened with beautiful weddings and other memorable events "as only Howard" could create.
Mr. Eckhart is survived by his sister, Punkie Camp; nieces, Jana Herrera and Stacey Eckhart; nephew Stan Eckhart; great-nieces, Kaia Bakken and Ally Eckhart; and great-nephews, Ian and James Bakken.
He was predeceased by his parents, Howard and Elsie Adamietz Eckhart; sister Alice Jane Eckhart; and brother Charlie Eckhart.
A Celebration of Life was held Wednesday, April 10, at Altitude at the W Hotel in Dallas.
A memorial service will be held at 2 pm, Friday, April 19, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Bandera.
The family has requested donations be made to a charity of choice or to the Bandera County Public Library.
Arrangements were under the care of Wright's Funeral Parlor of Kerrville.
Jack Harlen Ahenger
1953-2013
Jack Harlen Ahenger, 60, of Bandera, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, March 23. He was born in Erie, Pennsylvania to Clarence and Helen Ahenger on Feb. 23, 1953.
Jack graduated from Fort LeBouf High School in Waterford, Pennsylvania and attended DeVry Institute of Technology. By trade, he was an electronics technician, musician and a small engine mechanic. Also, throughout his life, he always pursued his biggest passion - music - as an avid drummer and part-time guitarist in numerous bands.
After moving to Bandera in 2009, Jack quickly made many friends in town at the Silver Dollar, Chickn' Coop and 11th Street Cowboy Bar. A renowned pool shark, he also enjoyed live country music.
Jack is survived by his children, Ian Ahenger and Shaina Coney, and sisters, Sherry Simkins and Chrissy Farmer.
He was predeceased by his parents, brother Daniel Ahenger and other members of his immediate family.
Future plans for a wake in Bandera have yet to be determined. Services will be held at a future date in Pennslyvania.
Harold William Bausch
1930-2013
Harold William Bausch, 82, a life-long resident of Bandera County, passed away Friday, April 5, at Cedar Creek Nursing Home. His wife, Anna Faye, was at his side. He was born Sept. 27, 1930 at the Bausch Ranch on Winans Creek.
Harold spent his entire life at the ranch with the exception of the time he served in the military and at the nursing home during a lengthy illness.
Harold showed calves in the Bandera County Junior livestock Show; graduated from Bandera High School; and honorably served his country in the United States Army.
On June 17, 1956, he married
Anna Faye Keese. The couple built a home at the ranch on Winans Creek where they resided, and Harold farmed and ranched, raising Angora goats, sheep, and cattle. A member of the Bandera County Farm Bureau and the Cattle Raisers Association, he also served as a cattle inspector. As an active member of the Medina Wolf Club, Harold worked diligently to raise funds for predator control.
He enjoyed hunting, trapping and fishing. However, the love of his life was the Bausch Ranch, which he worked to improve and make more productive.
Both he and Anna Faye are members of the First Baptist Church in Medina where they were married

Survivors include his wife, Anna Faye Bausch; sister Irene Stieler; and sister-in-law Mildred Bausch, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, along with many friends.
Harold was predeceased by his parents, Henry Bausch and Adela Hohenberger Bausch; sisters, Norma Hamilton, Alice Buck, Ida Mae Kutzer, Alma Bausch and Elene Bausch; and brothers, Hugo, Alvin "Buster," Arthur and Lee Henry Bausch.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 9, at Grimes Funeral Chapel in Bandera with Mr. Martin Smith officiating. Interment followed at Oak Rest cemetery in Medina. Allen Stieler, George Hamilton, John Hamilton, Jimmy Kutzer, Alfred Bausch and Jim Smith served as pallbearers.
Arrangements were entrusted to Grimes Funeral Chapels.
