Allie M. Belcher Reed
Allie M. Belcher Reed, age 77 of Cameron, died
Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2004 in a Lampasas hospital. She was born
on July 20, 1927 in Clarksville to Haywood Richard Belcher and Annie Phillips Belcher. On March 11, 1947, she married
David Burl Reed. He preceded her in death on May 12, 1994. Allie graduated from Slaton High School in 1946, enjoyed reading, sewing and loved making dolls.
Survivors include three daughters, Jo Blakley and husband, Sandy of Izoro; Sherri Butler and husband, Rick of Hubbard, and Nancy Gayle Griffin and husband, Daniel of Cameron; three sons, Thomas David Reed and wife, Carolyn of Rankin; Timothy Burl Reed and wife, Bonnie of Ingram; and Lewis Michael Reed and wife, Liz of New Ulm; sister, Neva Reed of Medina; 15 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one great granddaughter.
Services are scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 13 at 11 a.m. at Grimes Funeral Chapels of Kerrville with Mr. Martin Smith officiating. Interment
will follow in Oak Rest cemetery
in Medina.
Pallbearers will be Ashley Griffin, Clint Butler, Sam Blakley, William Butler, Avery Griffin, Kirk Blakley and Ethan Reed.
Honorary pallbearers are Justin Blakley, Catrina Benner, Brandi Wike, Rebecca Reed, Stacey Reed, Cheryl Reed, Kelly Hajek and Lauren Reed.
Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Grimes Funeral Chapels of Kerrville.
Rick Sanders
Rick Sanders, 49, of Pipe Creek, died
Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2002 in a San Antonio hospital. He was born
Dec. 24, 1952 in Houston to Arthur Sanchez and Cleo White Carfrey. On Aug. 28, 1982, he married
Bethanne Pasquale in Bandera. She survives. Rick was employed as a machinist for Southwest Research Company in San Antonio. He was an avid hunter and loved to water ski. In addition to his wife Beth of Pipe Creek, survivors include his mother, Cleo White Carfrey of Bandera, mother-in-law and father-in-law, Reynold and Mary Ann Pasquale of New Brighton, Pa.; daughter, Michelle Sanders of Pipe Creek; brother, Robert Sanders and wife Carol of Bandera; uncle, Carle White; and special friends, Phillip Preston and Brenda Smith. Services are scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 24 at Grimes Chapel, with Mr. Martin Smith officiating. Interment
will follow in the Bandera Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jeff Antill, Ronnie Young, Barry Mangone, Pat Chenault, Robert Sanders, Steve Young, and Mike Pratts. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at Grimes Chapel. Memorials may be sent to Wells Fargo Bank, Rick Sanders Research, c/o Dr. Robert Nett.
William Nicholson
William Anthony 'Sonny' Nicholson, 39, died
on Monday, Jan. 21, 2002 in San Antonio. He was born
Dec. 8, 1962 in San Antonio. He served in the United States Air Force for four years. Mr. Nicholson is survived by his children, Scott and Holly Nicholson and by the mother of his children, Lori Nicholson, all of Nebraska. He is also survived by his mother, Frankie Friend of Colorado; a grandmother, Elizabeth Monosmith of New Braunfels; a sister, Kim Burke and husband Bobby of Florida; his father, Walter Nicholson of Arkansas; and aunts and uncles including Dolly and Carlyn Potter of San Antonio; Joe and Penny Monosmith of Canyon Lake; Susan Monosmith of Tarpley; Mike and Peggy Cottle of Tyler; John and Debbie Monosmith of Gruene, Texas and Jim and Brenda Monosmith of San Antonio. Mr. Nicholson was loved and will be missed by his children and other family members including many nieces, nephews and cousins. His service was held on Saturday, Jan. 26 at 10 a.m. at Wright's Funeral Parlor in Bandera
David Peterson
David B. Peterson of Lakehills, Texas, 78, died
Sunday, Jan. 28, 2002. He was born
May 7, 1923 in Dallas, Texas. He retired from the U.S. Army as a Sergeant Major with 21 years of service and then went on to retire from the U.S. Postal Service. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Mary E. Peterson, his son Paul Peterson and wife Betty, his son Roger A. Peterson and wife Julie; grandchildren Kevin, Lisa, Renee, Peggy, Cathy, Jennifer and his sister Mattie Jean Jones. He was preceded in death by his parents, his baby son, James Peterson, his grandson, Darin Peterson, his brothers F.C. and J.C. Peterson and his sisters LaVern Clark, Lebeth Lowe and Mary Pate. Visitation will be held 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2002 at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home Chapel in San Antonio. Internment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
Bennett Morris
Bennett Morris, 82, of Tarpley died
Monday, Jan. 28, 2002, in a Kerrville nursing center. Mr. Morris, a resident of Tarpley for 15 years and a prior resident of Beeville, was born
on April 11, 1919, in Tacoma, Wash., to the late Rastus Fulton and Nannie Elizabeth Taylor Fulton. Mr. Morris was a retired manager of Propane Sales Company. He served his country in the United States Army during World War II, a survivor of the Normandy Invasion. He married
Susie Loleta Underwood in March of 1946, in Beeville. She preceded him in death on Sept. 5, 1996. Mr. Morris was a member of the Baptist Church. Survivors include three daughters, Helen Young of Kerrville, Susie Craig of Laguna Niguel, Calif. and Carole Morris of Napa, Calif.; one brother, Oliver Morris of Tuleta, Texas; six grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. Graveside services were held at 3 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 29 at the Tarpley cemetery
with Rev. Richard Craig officiating. Memorial remembrances may be made to the American Cancer Society. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Grimes Funeral Chapels of Kerrville.

Julianne Newton Hall, 30, of Lakehills, died
Monday, Jan. 28, 2002 at her residence. Arrangements are pending and when complete will be announced by Grimes Funeral Chapel of Bandera.

Services for Jack Holloway, 81, of Bandera, who died
Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2002, in a local care center, were held Friday, Feb. 1 at Kerrville Funeral Home. Burial followed in Forest Park Lawndale cemetery
in Houston.
Annie Dickinson
Annie D. Dickinson, 82, of Bandera died
Saturday, Feb. 2, 2002 in a San Antonio hospital. She was born
July 7, 1919 in Dewitt County to Teofel and Lucy Anne Warwas Pawvlik. She married
Edwin Uriah Dickinson in Cuero on March 23, 1940. He preceded her in death on Nov. 8, 1970. Mrs. Dickinson faithfully served as the nursery attendant at the Bandera United Methodist Church for many years and was loved by children and appreciated by their parents. Survivors include one son, Samuel Edwin Dickinson and wife Sherry of Seguin, one sister, Catherine 'Katie' and husband Joe Winkler of San Antonio, two grandsons, one granddaughter, numerous nieces and nephews and many friends. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Raymond and Leon T. Pawvlik. A rosary was held Monday at 7 p.m. at Grimes Chapel and the funeral mass was on Tuesday, Feb. 5 at 10 a.m. at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church with Father Stan Oleksy officiating. Interment
followed in the Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers were Neal Dalton, Dr. Louis Dubose, Dr. Conrad Nightingale, Sully Woodland, Al Kindla and Kenneth Pawvlik. Arrangements were under the direction of Grimes Funeral Chapel of Bandera.
