Enrique Espinoza
1939 - 2015
Enrique "Henry" E. Espinoza, 76, passed away July 11 with his family by his side in a San Antonio hospital. Henry was born Jan. 14, 1939, in Santa Rosa, Texas, and was currently living in Bandera where he was an active member of Stanislaus Catholic Church and had served as President of the Quadalupanos Society for four years.
Henry loved spending time with his family, especially his wife. He was a truck driver for many years. He enjoyed travelling and farming, and leaves behind a rooster and four chickens that kept him amused and on his toes.
Henry was preceded in death by a baby daughter, Irma; his father, Heliodoro: his mother, Consuelo; and a brother, Mercedes.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Helen; five children: Enrique Jr, Eli, Sylvia Kahlig, Cynthia Stoufflet (James), and Edward; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Rudolpho (Janie), and a sister, Mary Helen Flynn.
Rosary was held Tuesday, July 14 at Grimes Funeral Chapels in Bandera officiated by Deacon Jerry Duenes. Mass was held Wednesday, July 15 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church with Father John Nolan as celebrant. Interment followed in the New Catholic cemetery.
Phillip Ray "Chief" Graham
1940 - 2015
BMC Phillip Ray "Chief" Graham, Retired USN, formerly of Bandera, passed away on July 10, in Houston. He was born Dec. 16, 1940, to Kenneth and Irene Graham in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He joined the United States Navy on Nov. 10, 1959, and retired Dec. 31, 1980, with 21 years of service. He was a Vietnam Veteran with several tours under his belt. He married
Donna J. Hall on April 1, 1966, in Reno, Nevada.
Phillip was preceded in death by his wife and parents.
Survivors include daughters, Phyllis Pike and her husband Robert of Bellville, Texas, Barbara Haines and her husband Jeremy Haines of Magnolia, Texas; brother, Jerry Graham and wife Bonnie of Danville, Arkansas; sister Connie Neumau of Pasco, Washington; grandchildren Brandon and Ashley Pike, Caitlyn Pike and Adam Kolojaco, Dylan Haines and Shelby Haines; great-grandchildren Keaton Pike, Braxton Kolojaco and Reagan Kolojaco; aunt Anita Lynch, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held August 15, in Bellville, Texas, with burial at sea by the United States Navy to follow.
Marianne Hirschman-Click
1954 - 2015
Marianne Hirschman-Click, 61, of Bandera passed away on Friday, July 17, in Bandera. She was born in Rockville Centre, New York, to Alan Earl and Vivian Theresa Dooley on Jan. 22, 1954.
She married
Jay Marcus Click on March 22, 1991 in Lake Tahoe.
Marianne attended Plainedge High School, North Massapequa, New York. She graduated from Colorado State University with a degree in animal science and a Masters of Pharmacology degree from the University of Nevada Reno.
She worked for Parke Davis as a pharmaceutical representative for 15 years. She then moved to Arizona where she was a real estate agent before moving to Texas.
Marianne is preceded in death by her mother and grandparents, Margaret and Joseph Insignia.
Survivors include husband Jay Marcus Click; son, Michael Jay Hirschman; and stepchildren and grandchildren Marcus Schyler and Kerri Jo Click with Landry Skye; Jordan Blair and Joanna Leigh Click with Sidnee Layne, Avery Jo, and Benjamin Caine; Blaine Austin and Jade Elizabeth Click with Madelyn Beth. She is also survived by her son Michael's father Louis Jay Hirschman; brother and sister-in-law John Michael and Deborah Ann Dooley and children Kristen Ann and Kara Lynn; and her father.
Services were held July 19 at Grimes Funeral Chapels in Kerrville. Graveside services were held July 22 at All Faiths Memorial Park in Casselberry, Florida.
Robert Edward 'Bobby' Burger
1962-2015
Robert Edward "Bobby" Burger, 53, of Apache Junction, Arizona, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Saturday, July 18. He was born in Kerrville on Feb. 20, 1962.
Bobby was married
to Melinda Lanam Ingram for many years. The couple had two children, Jessica Rae Burger and Joshua Levi Burger.
Bobby attended school in Medina, graduating from high school in 1980. Most of his adult life, he worked in the roofing construction industry,
As a young boy, Bobby enjoyed hunting, fishing, swimming, camping and sports. As a kid, his most memorable Thanksgiving was the time he shot two turkeys with only one shot.
Bobby's life passions were his family and friends. His favorite quote stated: "To have a friend, you must be a friend."
Bobby is survived by his daughter, Jessica Rae Burger, 25, of Oklahoma; son Joshua Levi Burger, 23, of Arizona; their mother, Melinda Ingram, of Oklahoma; his father, Jesse Ray Burger; and sister Cammie Morgan and her husband, Steve, of Medina. He is also survived by nieces, Crystal Flores and her husband, John, of Center Point; Hailey and Kaila Morgan of Medina; great-nieces Ashlyn, Skyler and Lyndsey; and great-nephews, Justin and Ryan, as well as by numerous cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.
Bobby was predeceased by his mother, Barbara Ann Burger, brother Lesley Ray Burger; and grandparents, Ed and Mary Moreau and Jesse and Velma Burger.
A memorial service is planned for 4 pm, Saturday, August 1 at the United Methodist Church in Medina with the Rev. Bill Stegemueller officiating.

Sue Ellen Peterson
1947-2015
Sue Ellen Peterson, 68, passed away Saturday, July 18, from complications of treatment for breast and bone cancer after living with it for 16 years. She was born Jan. 23, 1947 in Kerrville to Jack Hamilton and Ellen Reagan Peterson.
Sue attended the University of Texas in Austin, graduating with a Masters Degree in psychology.
From June 1982 through August 1997, she was employed by the Perry-Castaneda Library at the University of Texas in Austin. After moving back to Kerrville in 1997, Sue worked at the Butt-Holdsworth Memorial Library for 13 years before retiring in 2010.
She is survived by her brothers, John Reagan Peterson and his wife, Helen, and Walter Peterson and his wife, Frances, of Bandera; son Justin Killebrew and his wife, Libby, and grandson Joey of Baltimore, Maryland; niece Mary Peterson and her husband, Eric, and great-nephew Luke and niece Kate of Redmond, Washington; nephews, David Peterson of Hondo; Reagan Peterson of Kyle; and Travis Peterson of Sugarland; and uncle Robert Reagan and his wife, Dalene, of Kerrville, as well as by many cousins and friends.
Sue was predeceased by her parents.
Sue did not wish to have a public memorial service. Instead a special gathering for family and friends is being planned for mid-October.
Christopher Langdon Stone
1955-2015
Christopher Langdon Stone, 59, of Ingram, passed away in his home on Tuesday, July 21, surrounded by family and friends. Christopher was born in Manhasset, New York on Dec. 25, 1955 to Rex L. Stone and Nancy-Alice Salisbury.
He married
Pidgie Byrd in 1977.
Chris graduated from Tivy High School in 1975 and received a BA in history from Sul Ross University.
From 1977-2004, he was active in local Lion Clubs. Chris was also very active at St. Peter's Episcopal Church as Acolyte Master, Lay Eucharistic Minister and EFM Mentor.
For many years he served as a troop leader in the Girl Scouts and as camp cook at Camp Mira Sol. Additionally, Chris was involved with special education for 20 years.
He is survived by his wife, Pidgie Stone; daughters, Sarah Stone of Boerne and Rachel Boland and her husband, Nicholas, of Kerrville; grandson Langdon Boland; brothers-in-law, Donald Byrd and Philip Allen of San Antonio; stepmother Margaret Stone of Stittsville, Ontario; mother Nancy-Alice Salisbury of Sanford, Maine; and siblings, Nelson and Marilyn Stone, Betsy-Jane Reilly, Nancy-Alice and David Whitney and Robin Stone, as well as by 13 nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Saturday, August 1, at St. Peter's Episcopal Church, in Kerrville, officiated by The Reverends Stockton Williams and Tom Murray III.
The family requests memorials be made to St. Peter's Episcopal Day School or Playhouse 2000.
Thomas Rather
1928-2015
Thomas James Rather Jr, 87, died June 28, 2015 in Medina. He is survived by his wife, Peggy and children.
Services will be held today, July 2, at 2 pm at Medina Baptist Church.
