Bill Erhard
Bill Erhard peacefully died
on July 7, 2001 after a long fought battle with cancer. Bill lived in Bandera from the late 60s to the late 70s. He was a rancher and a heavy equipment operator, but he will mostly be remembered for the cartoons drawn on paper napkins which used to hang in any establishment that served coffee. Bill would come to town daily to have his coffee and while sitting at the table, out would come the pen and paper napkin. When finished with his coffee and out the door, there it would be, a new cartoon waiting to be hung by the cash register along with all the rest. I personally believe that was Billıs way of saying ³Okay, Iıve been here today and have a nice day,² said his daughter, Linda Decker. For all that knew and loved Bill Erhard, he will surely be missed.
