Clark Aylsworth
Mr. Clark Aylsworth, age 84 of Pipe Creek, passed away Tuesday, June 8 in a San Antonio hospital. He was born April 4, 1920 in St. Joseph, Missouri, to George Allyn and Jody Clark Aylsworth. On June 18, 1976, he married
Ann MacManus in San Antonio. Clark had a great affinity with animals, especially horses all his life. Over 20 years ago, he and his wife Ann developed one of the finest Clydesdale breeding stables in the USA, "Twin Creek Clydesdales." Prior to retiring and developing Twin Creek Clydesdales, he was the founder and Chief Executive Officer of U.S. Global Investors (formerly United Services Advisors, Inc.), a multi-million dollar mutual fund complex which was instrumental in making gold investments available to the average investor. He retired from the US Air Force after 28 years service with several medals and commendations including the Distinguished Flying Cross. He had a Bachelor's Degree from the University of California at Berkley and a Master's Degree from Texas A&M.;
Survivors include two daughters, Nicole Monique Gasper of Baltimore, MD, and DeAnn Ellisor of Columbia, South Carolina; sons, Clark A. Aylsworth of Wimberley, and Jeff Drake and wife, Anne of North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; nine grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Ann on Oct. 18, 2002.
Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, June 12 at 1 p.m. at St. Christopher's Episcopal Church with Father Rick Dunham officiating. Interment will follow in the Episcopal cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Animal Defense League of San Antonio and/or the Brighter Days Horse Refuge of Pipe Creek.

Joyce Albrecht Wyatt
Joyce Albrecht Wyatt, 76, of Bandera, died Friday, June 11, 2004 in Arlington, Texas.
She was born July 7, 1927 in Columbus, Ga., to Sterling Walter Albrecht and Esther Wilhelm Albrecht. On Sept. 5, 1945, she married
Charles Emmitt Wyatt in Columbus, Ga.
We, the family, celebrate Joyce's life and thank the Lord that she was our mother. She was "a Georgia girl who never thought she would end up owning a ranch in Texas."
She was an avid reader, wrote to soldiers overseas for many years, was a person who loved to do things for others, never wanting anything in return, and loved America and passed this pride on to her family. Joyce quietly went about her life, being a blessing to others.
Survivors include her daughter, Cathy Barnard and husband, Jim of Arlington; son, Charles "Chuck" E. Wyatt, Jr., and wife, Yvette of Bandera; grandchildren, Jason Wyatt Barnard and wife, Misty, James Jeffrey Barnard, Reannah Kate Wyatt, and Charles E. Wyatt, III, and first great-grandchild born June 1, 2004, Hunter Caleb Wyatt Barnard.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Wyatt.
Services will be Wednesday, June 16, at 2 p.m. at Grimes Chapel with Rev. Wesley Stevens officiating. Interment will follow at the Wyatt Family cemetery.
Pallbearers are son, Chuck, son-in-law, Jim Barnard, grandsons, Jason and Jeffrey Barnard, and family friends, Randy Clark and Judge Richard Evans.
Honorary pallbearers are James A. Gallant, Travis Langford and Ralph Whitmore.
Memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels.

Darvin Louis Schultze
Darvin Louis Schultze, Sr., age 71 of Hondo, died Tuesday, June 8 in a Hondo care center. He was born Oct. 19, 1932 in San Antonio to Kuno and Augusta Rennspies Schultze. He worked for a number of years for RC Cola Company after which he worked for Mission Pipe Company, later called Gifford Hill, where he worked until he retired after 26 years.
Darvin was a quiet man who devoted his whole life to his kids. He loved fishing, hunting and about anything that got him out doors. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Survivors include two daughters, Sandy Duran and husband, Rudy of Hondo and Darlene Garcia and husband, Junior of Kerrville; son, Darvin Schultze, Jr. of San Antonio; brother, Gilbert Schultze of Medina Lake; grandchildren, Brandon and Heather Schultze, Ann Marie, Paul and Timothy Duran, Mike, Mary and David Garcia and numerous great grandchildren.
Services will be Friday, June 11 at 10:30 a.m., Grimes Funeral Chapels, Bandera, officiated by Mr. Martin Smith. Interment will follow in the Bandera cemetery.

REBECCA M. WESTERFIELD
Rebecca M. Westerfield, 96, of Gruver, died Nov. 14 in Hansford Manor Nursing Home in Spearman. She was born Feb. 27, 1907.
A retired owner of Westerfield Dry Goods, she was a native of Kenton, Cimarron County, OK and a Gruver resident for over 80 years. She was a member of First Christian Church of Gruver and Gruver Eastern Star.
She is survived by son, Pat Westerfield of Utopia, six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, P.H. Mickey Westerfield on Jan.. 26, 1965 and her son, Paul Westerfield on June 13, 2002.
Graveside services were held Nov. 17 at Gruver cemetery in Gruver with Rev. George Price, Pastor of United Methodist Church in Gruver officiating. Burial will be entrusted to Brown Funeral Directors of Borger. Memorials may be made to Hansford Hospice, 707 Roland, Spearman, TX 79081.
ELIZABETH COX WHITE
Elizabeth Cox White, 62, of Pipe Creek, died Saturday, Nov. 22, in a San Antonio hospital. She was born Aug. 17, 1941 in Corpus Christi to William Bailey Cox and Mary Julia Gravett Cox. On Jan. 8, 1986, she married
Raymond White. She was a registered X-Ray Technician and a member of St Stanislaus Catholic Church.
Survivors include her husband, Ray White of Pipe Creek; daughters, Stephanie Stone of Lake Tahoe, Nevada, and Katherine Royal and husband Glenn of Katy; sons, Craig Stone and wife Kim of San Antonio and Jay White and wife Angela of Schertz; sister, Mary Lee Thompson of Houston; seven grandchildren, Annastacia McDonald, James Royal, Alexa White, Sarah Royal, Shelby Stone, Austen White and Morgan Stone.
The Funeral Mass will be today at 10 a.m. at St Stanislaus Catholic Church in Bandera with Father Stan Oleksy officiating. Interment will follow in Pipe Creek cemetery. Pall bearers are Craig Stone, Jay White, Christian McDonald, Glenn Royal and Richard Thompson.

LAWRENCE SIMS
Lawrence "Larry" Sims, 74, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 18, at the Veterans Hospital in Kerrville. He was born on Oct. 31, 1929 in Helotes to Eddie Sims and Gertrude Kamp Sims. Larry served his country in the United States Army. He married
Sylvia Rand in San Antonio on Oct. 4, 1979. He owned his own heating and air conditioning business. He will be remembered as a loving brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sylvia Sims of Bandera; three sons, Larry Sims of Devine, Mike Sims and wife Linda of Natalia, Pat Sims and wife Caroline of Castroville; daughter Jody Brinegar of Somerset; step daughter, Susan Rasouli of Los Angeles, California; two brothers, Donald Sims of San Antonio and George Sims of Skidmore; sister, Ethel Williamson of Natalia; also six grandchildren, six step grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He will be loved and missed by many other family members and friends.
He is preceded in death by his both parents and 1 brother Lloyd Sims.
Graveside service was held Thursday, Nov. 20, at Fort Sam Houston National cemetery with full military honors.

L.C. KELLEY
L.C. Kelley, resident of Pipe Creek, Texas, and owner of Kelley's Shamrock Tavern, died Sunday, November 2, after a long illness. Mr. Kelley was born is Lanham, West Virginia, Sept. 7, 1938.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara, two sons, Mike and Mark, and their wives, Wren and Diane, all of San Antonio, and by two brothers, Russell and Ralph Williams of Charleston, West Virginia. Mr. Kelley retired from the Air Force after 23 years and came to Bandera County in 1984, when he and his wife purchased the tavern. He had been Commander of the American Legion Post 208, Kerrville. He was well known for his community service and concern for people in need. He will be sorely missed.
ELDON LESLIE CLARK
Weldon Leslie Clark, 82, of Seligman, died Monday, Nov. 10 at Northwest Medical Center of Benton County. He was born Feb. 7, 1921, at Bandera, to Harry Clark and Bessie Chapman Clark. He began driving an ice truck as a teenager and drove for Pacific Motor Trucking until his retirement in 1979. He moved to the area in 1981 to make his home. He married
Esther Hoggett, July 25, 1942, at Center Point. He was a member of Teamsters Union Local #890, the Apostolic Faith Church in Bethpage, Missouri. He enjoyed traveling, deer hunting, working on his farm, and driving his tractor.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Raymond Clark. Survivors are his wife of 61 years, Esther Clark of the home; one son Leslie Clark and wife Sue of Patterson, California; two daughters, Carmen Garrett and husband Ron, and Janic Greer and husband Mike all of Jacket, Missouri; two brothers, Melvin Clark of Kerrville, and Gene Clark of Salinas, California; two sisters, Mildred Mask and Louise Taulbee, both of Kerrville, four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Visitation was Friday, Nov. 14, and funeral service followed Saturday, Nov. 15, at Sisco Funeral Home Chapel in Pea Ridge, with Brother Frank Arnall officiating. Burial was at Antioch cemetery.
TERRI MICHELLE BUTLER
Terri Michelle Butler, age 36, of Pipe Creek, died Wednesday, Nov. 12 in a San Antonio hospital. She was born June 7, 1967 in San Antonio to Wallace and Albina C. "Beannie" Dugosh Butler. Terri graduated from Bandera High School in 1985 and she was a dedicated employee of Frost Bank in San Antonio for 18 years. She was a descendant of early Bandera settlers, dedicated to family and her nieces and nephews, always attended family events, was very active in school, was Homecoming Queen her Senior year, was a cheerleader in Junior High and High School and she loved her animals.
Survivors include her parents, "Beannie" and Wally Butler of Pipe Creek, three brothers, Scott Butler of San Antonio, Greg Butler and wife Shea of Bandera, and Tim Butler and wife Sandra of Boerne, nieces, Brooke Butler, Breanna Boisvert, Taelen, Ciara and Hayley Butler, nephews, Brandon and Tryston Butler, a large following of relatives and her dogs, Nub and Hayley.
A Rosary was Friday at Grimes Chapel with the Funeral Mass on Saturday, Nov. 15, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church with Father Stan Oleksy officiating. Interment followed in the St. Stanislaus Catholic cemetery. Pallbearers were John Oppelt, Thom Oppelt, Tim Sczech, Brandon Butler, Cliff Dugosh, and Lee Mitchell.
Memorials may be made to the Cancer Treatment and Research Center, 7979 Wurzbach Rd., San Antonio, Texas, 78229.

CORNELIA BURKHARDT
Cornelia Burkhardt, age 90, entered into rest Nov. 22 in San Antonio. She was born Nov. 24, 1912 in San Marcos to Susanna Leister and Thomas Evans. Mrs. Burkhardt was preceded in death by her loving husband A.F. Burkhardt and daughter, Eleanor Ann Burkhardt.
She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Jeanine and Truman Donahoo of Bandera, granddaughter and husband, Sherry and Jack Fulford of Flower Mound: grandson and wife, David and Pam Donahoo of Katy; great-grandchildren, Scott and Brian Fulford, Mallory and Lauren Donahoo, Taryn Brittany Walker. The family request that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Vista Care, 5815 Callaghan Rd, San Antonio, TX 78228 or The Chandler Estate in Laurel Heights, 1510 Howard St., San Antonio, TX 78212.
