Cecile Lorene Searcy

Cecile Lorene Risinger Tankersley Searcy, 90, of Lampasas, passed to a better life Friday, Sept. 16.
Lorene resided in Lampasas since 2012 and had previously lived in Hext.
Known by all as a gentle and giving soul, she was always willing to see the very best in anyone she met. Lorene’s generosity is a family legend, and she never considered her own needs before those of others.
Lorene is survived by her sister, Maxine Bailey, of Lampasas; and June Ford of Wylie, as well as by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
She joins in death her first husband, Guy Tankersley; son Guy Tankersley Jr.; and her second husband, Elmo Searcy.
A graveside service was held Saturday, Sept. 24, at Bandera cemetery in Bandera.
Dominick Verciglio
1939-2016
Dominick Verciglio went home to be with God on September 25, 2016. He was 77, and went peacefully at his home in Pipe Creek, TX. He was born in Chicago, IL, to Peter and Josephine Verciglio on August 30, 1939. He married
Susan Sherer on September 6, 1968 in Las Vegas. Dominick was self employed as a painter for 63 years.
Dominick is survived by his wife, Sue Verciglio; daughters, Elizabeth (Dawn) Daly and husband, Gene, Kimberly Kathleen Verciglio Martorano and husband Tony; sons, Dominick Mark Verciglio and wife, Kimberly Lynn, Todd Martin Verciglio and wife Melissa; sisters, Rosalie Bell and husband, Ray, Diana Southard and husband Lonnie; grandchildren, Samuel Daly, Andy Daly, Chloe Verciglio, Anthony Verciglio, Benjamin Verciglio, Ryan Neil, Mariah Menendez, Hannah Graves, Brandon Jebens, Emma Jebens, Ryan Verciglio and Vincent Verciglio; Sue’s sisters, Linda Felten and husband, Ken and Sherrie Jolin and husband, Dave; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation was held Tuesday, September 27 at Grimes Funeral Chapels of Bandera.

Richard Noyer Westley

Richard Noyer Westley, 93, of Pipe Creek Texas, passed away on September 30, 2016. He was born in Westerville, Nebraska to Lois and Charles Westley on May 12, 1923. He married
Nancy Ladd Westley on January 16, 1946 in Flushing, NY.
He graduated from Grand Rapids High School and went on to Ball State Teachers College in Indiana for one year. On November 1, 1941 he enrolled in the Gallups Island Radio School on Gallups Island, Boston, graduating in class R-9 in August 1942.
He served in the United States Maritime Service as a radio operator during WWII for 13 months, serving aboard the vessel S.S. Totico.
Following this he flew as radio operator and navigator for Pan American Grace, American Overseas Airlines and the commercial Flying Tigers.
After his flying days, he went to work for McDonnell Douglas, Borroughs and finally with IBM, where he was employed as a systems analyst for 16 years.
Upon retirement, Richard and his wife Nancy ventured west with their Airstream, a passion they shared for more than 50 years in the Wally Byam Caravan Club International, and settled in Pipe Creek, where they bought property, built a house, joined a church and traveled the country many times over, meeting great people, while often providing summer travels for their grandchildren Laura and Margaret. Richard is survived by his spouse of 70 years, Nancy L. Westley, children Bonnie A. and Mary L.; and grandchildren, Laura A. Westley-Williams and Margaret A. Westley. He was preceded in death by his son Bruce M. Westley.
A Celebration of Life service lead by Rev. John Watson, will be held Saturday, Oct. 15th at 11 am at Pipe Creek Presbyterian Church, 8589 TX-16, Pipe Creek.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Pipe Creek Presbyterian Church. The family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the medical staff of Methodist Hospital in San Antonio,
Alamo Hospice of Boerne, Bandera Nursing and Rehab, the Veterans Administration and supportive friends.
W. A. "Bill" McCoy
1922-2016
W. A. "Bill" McCoy, 93, of Bandera, passed away on Oct 1, 2016 in a Bandera care facility. He was born in Waco, Texas to Ella and Emmett McCoy on Nov 11, 1922. He Married Jeanette Kramer on July 12, 1954 in Chicago.
Bill was a loving husband, father, brother and uncle.
He was a member of the "Greatest Generation." He served his country honorably in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II.
He is preceded in death by his sisters Vila McCoy Reed and Colleen McCoy Johnson.
Bill is survived by his wife, Jeanette Kramer McCoy; daughter, Virginia McCoy; sons, Gary Eugene McCoy and Curtis Richard McCoy; nephew, Elbert Reed; and several grandchildren.
In keeping with the family's wishes, there will be no services.

James Aleman
2016
James Aleman, 68, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Oct. 18, at his home in Medina after a long battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his wife, Brenda Ann, and longtime friends, Jimmy and Theresa Miaoulis.
James was a highly decorated Marine, having served three tours in Vietnam. He served with the 5th Marine Division, 5th Recon Division and Special Ops. James was honorably discharged from the service after becoming disabled during the war. He received the National Defense, Vietnamese Service, Purple Heart, Marksman and Good Conduct awards and medals.
A Memorial Service will take place at the Hill Country Resort & Event Center, 17740 State Highway 16 N, Medina. Noon, Saturday, Nov. 12. Pastor Bill Stegemueller of the Medina United Methodist Church officiating.
James will be buried at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio with full Military Honors at a later date.

Donald Ray Busbee
1945-2016
Donald Ray Busbee, 70, of Kerrville, passed from this life on Saturday, Nov. 5, in Kerrville. Donald was born on December 15, 1945 to Ray Busbee and Jo Margaret (Blackwell) Busbee in Terre Haute, IN.
Donald married
Mary Ann Haun in 1978. He served in the Navy in 1963 and upon discharge worked in the Oil Field. Donald opened Busbee's Bar-B-Q in Bandera, where he owned and operated, with his wife Mary Ann, for 15 years. He also was in new car sales and was a state inspector until retiring.
Donald was preceded in death by his daughter; Donna Rayette Busbee and son, Bruce Wayne Busbee.
Those left to cherish and honor his memory are his wife; Mary Ann Busbee; daughters, Malisa Culak and husband Alvin and Lynn Busbee; son, Timothy Methvin and wife, Michelle; grandsons, Lance, Dalton and Dawson.
In lieu of floral contributions, donations may be made to Peterson Hospice in Donald's name.
A Celebration of Life service will be 4 pm on Friday, Nov. 11, in the main chapel of Kerrville Funeral Home, 1221 Junction Hwy, Kerrville, 78028.
