Robert Mark Robison
1959 – 2016
Robert Mark Robison, 57, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 21, at his residence after a brief battle with cancer.
He is survived by his parents, T.J. and Nancy Robison; sisters, Lori and John Rawlings of Matagorda; Kristi and Kendall Cook of Lubbock; daughter, Jamie Munguia; grandchildren Payton, Jackson and Mason Munguia; nieces, Betsi McKee and husband Bill; Haley Brophy and husband Hunter, and Lauren Cook; nephew, Cody Watters; grandnieces, Henley and Hayden McKee.
Our very special thanks to the nurses and staff of Peterson Hospice for their loving care for Mark and compassion for our family.
Memorial services will be held Friday, Dec. 30, 2 pm. at the clubhouse at The Liveoaks Manufactured Home Park, Fredericksburg.

Roy J. King
1928 – 2016
Roy J. King passed away Sunday, Dec. 25, in Kerrville.
He was born April 15, 1928 in Santa Rosa, to Anna and Sol King.
The family moved to Corpus Christi about 1930 where Roy lived until 1986.
He married
his high school sweetheart, Rose Coonrod, on January 24, 1946. They raised tree sons while Roy attended and graduated from the University of Corpus Christi.
Roy worked for the United States Postal Service for many years, retiring in 1972. He then managed the Corpus Christi Postal Employees Credit Union for fourteen years. In addition he was an accountant and an Enrolled Agent for the Internal Revenue Service.
He loved all children and was very active with the Cub Scouts and the Order of the Arrow. At the request of a lifelong friend for many years he over saw a week trip to Garner State Park for the altar boys of the Diocese of Corpus Christi. As a result of this, Bishop Rene H. Gracida asked him in 1986 to move to Bandera County to oversee construction of Camp Corpus Christi and remain as caretaker when it was completed. Roy and Rose spent ten fun years at the camp until it was sold.
He was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus Council 10258 and the Hill Country Assembly 2465.
Two sons, James King and Ronald King, his parents, four sisters and tree brothers preceded him in death.
Rose, his wife of 71 years, his son, John and wife, Kay; daughter-in-law, Mindy King; three, grandchildren; three, great grandchildren; one, great-great granddaughter, survive him.
A memorial rosary will be held Friday, Dec. 30, at 2 pm at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society or a charity of choice.

John William Dalton
1948 - 2016
John William Dalton, 68, of Bandera, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 10, in Kerrville.
He was born in Norfolk, VA., to Annie Lee Crank on March 19, 1948.
He married
Patricia Ann Herrington on March 19, 2005.
John is survived by his wife, Patricia Ann Dalton; mother, Annie Jenson; aunt, Virginia Beasley; daughter, Amy Howell; step son, Don Stover; sisters, Faith Jenson and Teresa Brewer; brother, Clayton Jenson; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews and cousins.
In accordance with Mr. Dalton's wishes, there will be no service.

Ilene Joy Stephenson
1939 - 2016
Ilene Joy Stephenson, 77, of Pipe Creek, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 14, in Boerne.
She was born in Ponca City, OK to Myrtle and Dan Harrison on September 9, 1939.
She Married Donald G. Stephenson on August 24, 1958 in Shidler, OK.
Ilene is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Stephenson.
She is survived by her daughters, Brenda Stephenson Russell and her husband, Michael; Glenda Deigh Stephenson Moore and her husband, Bernard; son, Dana Gene Stephenson; sister, Darlene J. Walding; nine grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren and one expected next month.
A memorial service was held Thursday, Dec. 29 at 10 am at Christ Chapel in Bandera.
A graveside service was held Thursday, Dec. 29 at 1 pm at Fort Sam Houston cemetery in San Antonio.
Memorials may be givin to Christ Chapel of Bandera.

James Edward Clark
1941 - 2016
James Edward Clark was born in Tahoka, on April 21, 1941 to his parents James E. Clark and Myrtle Lee Owens. He went to be with the Lord on Monday, Dec. 26, peacefully at his home in Tarpley.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Deloris J. Clark and three sisters and one brother; Evelyn Whigham, Juinez Jones Moss, Peggye Loflin, and Lonny Stanley.
He left behind two sons, James E. Clark and wife Lavanda of Bouse, AZ and Darrell J. Clark, Sr. and wife Sheila of Bandera, along with seven grandchildren Destiny, Jamie, Darrell, Jr., Branden, Jessica, Sydney and Tiffany and seven great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
In 1961 he joined the Navy and served as a machinist until 1964. In 1966 he went to work for Santa Fe Railroad as a machinist and retired after 38 years of service. He loved to explore the desert while living in Barstow CA. There wasn't a cave or crack in the ground he would not enter. He explored the silver mines in the Mojave Desert. He enjoyed digging for treasures such as marbles and railroad trinkets. He was also known as "The Snake Man" while living Barstow, he would catch snakes with his bare hands to sell the venom to the medical field. He also loved going to auctions, antiquing and digging up honeycomb rocks off of the property in Tarpley. Most of all, he loved his family. He will be missed and always treasured by those he left behind.
His Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, Jan. 5 at 9 am at Grimes Funeral Home, 1214 Mulberry St, Bandera, 78003. A Naval Honor burial will follow the memorial at Fort Sam Houston National cemetery at 11:15 am at 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd. San Antonio, 78209.

Erna Flach
1920 - 2016
Erna Flach, 96, of Bandera, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 28, in Bandera.
She was born in Sisterdale to Gretchen and Charles Boerner on August 31, 1920.
She married
Frederick Flach on April 12, 1941 in Comfort.
Erna is preceded in death by her husband, Frederick; two sisters and three brothers; great–granddaughter, J.C. Gray and son in law, Monte Cowsert.
She is survived by daughters, Bernice Flach Cowsert and Barbara Flach Lestourgeon both of Bandera; son, Freddie Glen Flach and his wife, Mary Alice of Pipe Creek; nine grandchildren; 40 great–grandchildren and 14 great – great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held at 1 pm, Thursday, Jan. 5, at Grimes Funeral Chapel.
Funeral services will be held 2 pm, Thursday, Jan. 5 at Grimes Funeral Chapel of Bandera.
A reception will follow at the Methodist Church.
Memorials may be givin to Pipe Creek Little League, Bandera Little League or a charity of your choice.
