David Elbert Fullington
David Elbert Fullington, 71, of Bandera passed away April 16, 2006, in a San Antonio Hospital. He was born on Oct. 17, 1934, in Marshfield, Mo., to Elbert and Letha Goodnight Fullington.
He served in the United States Air Force from March 1955 to February 1959. Following his discharge from the Air Force, he worked as a San Antonio city transit bus driver; he was a salesman for Sears for several years, then was a driver for Kerrville Bus Company and Taulk Tours. His last job was driving a bus for Bandera Independent Schools. He became a Master Mason in San Antonio and was raised on June 10, 1976. In 1997 he retired and moved to Bandera where he was a member of the Bandera Masonic Lodge #1123. He was a member of the San Antonio Scottish Rite and was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Bandera Chapter No 643. He was a life member of the Goldwing Road Riders Association and currently with Kerrville Chapter K-2. He was a member of Twin Lakes Baptist Church and served on the board of the Twin Lakes Christian School. He loved his Masonic brothers and Eastern Str sisters. He was very close to the Twin Lakes Baptist Church Family. He loved riding his Goldwing trike and spending time with his motorcycle buddies. He was a wonderful husband, father, brother, and the best friend anyone could ever have.
Mr. Fullington is survived by his wife Doris L. Fullington, his son Jeff Fullington of Atlanta, Ga., daughter Julie Townsend and spouse Rick of Yukon, Okla., step-son Robert Stinson and spouse Gloria of San Antonio, step-daughters, Debbie Johnson and spouse William of Converse, Susan Canady of San Antonio, Sheryl Trevino and spouse David of Austin; his sister Patsy Gintz and spouse Lewie of Lyon, N.E., brother Jerry Fullington and spouse Kay of Lee Summit, Mo., sister Evelyn Shifflett and spouse George of Kokomo, Ind.; 13 grandchildren, Tanya Machado, Kristi Johnson, Brooke Fullington, Dustin Townsend, Stacey Fullington, Cody Macklin, Megan Canady, Kyle Stinson, William Johnson, Isaac Trevino, Elysia Trevino, Shannon Stinson and Henry Schmitt. He was preceded in death by his parents Elbert Fullington and Letha Goodnight Fullington Blazor.
The family received friends at the Funeral Home on April 19. Services were April 20 at Grimes Funeral Chapels, with Mr. Martin Smith and Rev. Raymond Wells officiating.

ANNA MARGARET STROUD
Anna Margaret Stroud of Lakehills, formerly of Moberly, Missouri died at her residence on Sunday, Aug. 24.
She was born on Dec. 24, 1916, in Fostoria, to the Rev. H.D. Tucker and Kathleen M. Tucker. She was the wife of the late Thomas B. Stroud, Public Administrator of Randolph County who died Dec. 9, 1978. She was appointed by the governor to finish her husband's term of office as Public Administrator. She received an award from the Missouri House of Representatives for her outstanding service as Public Administrator.
She attended the University of Missouri-Columbia and also worked for the university. She was a graduate of Moberly Junior College with an associate's degree.
She was a well-known genealogist, the President of the Randolph County Democratic Club; served on boards of American Cancer Society, Historical Society and Railroad Museum.
Before moving to Lakehills in 2000 to live with her son, Michael and wife Barbara, she was an active member with the Trinity United Methodist Church in Moberly, Mo. for 50 years. She served on various boards and was very active with the youth program. After moving to Lakehills, she transferred her membership to the Lakehills United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her son Michael and wife Barbara; grandsons, John and wife Erin of San Antonio, and Jimmy of New Braunfels; great-grandson Adam John; brothers, Frank Tucker of Hermann, Mo., and Dan Tucker of Tennessee. A brother, H.D. Tucker, Jr. and sister Mary DeVore preceded her in death.
A visitation service was at the Oakhills Mortuary in San Antonio on Aug. 26, and then she was returned to her home in Moberly, Mo. for visitation on Thursday, Aug. 28 and services on Friday, Aug. 29, with burial in the Oakland cemetery in Moberly, Mo.
Memorials in her honor may be sent to the Lakehills United Methodist Church in Lakehills, or to the Hospice Home Care, 10221 Desert Sands, San Antonio, Tx. 78216.
Michael Donald Brown

Michael Donald Brown, 36, of Bandera, died June 13, 2009. He was born to Donald H. Brown and Cynthia D. Whitmire Brown on June 30, 1972, in Harrisburg, Penn.
Michael was a wrangler at the Mayan Dude Ranch of Bandera. He was a former Corrections Officer at the Dauphin County Prison, Harrisburg, and a former Sergeant with the Texas Department of Corrections at the Torres / Ney Unit, Hondo, and was a two-year resident of the Bandera area. He was a former member of the Faith Bible Church, Port Royal, Penn.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Cynthia D. Brown.
Survivors include his wife of 18 years, Amanda R. Brown; daughters, Makenzie T. Brown and Hallie R. Brown of Bandera; father and stepmother, Donald and Sharon Brown of Mifflintown, Penn.; sister and brother-in-law, Pamela and Ralph Covert of Harrisburg; father-in-law, Mr. Ray McBride and mother-in-law, Mrs. Mary Harmon; sister and brother-in-law, Bonnie and Brian Meloncon; sister-in-law Christie McBride and nieces and nephew, Kylea Nicholson, Jadyn Barragen and Ryan Nicholson, all of Beaumont.
A memorial service was held June 18 at Grimes Funeral Chapels, officiated by brother Max Teague.

DENNIS "DENNY" FAIRBORNE
Dennis "Denny" Bruce Fairbairn, age 63 went to be with the Lord on Friday, Dec. 19 in Jourdanton after a courageous battle with cancer.
Denny was born June 23, 1940 in Grand Rapids, MI and proudly served in the United States Air Force as an aircraft mechanic during the Vietnam War.
Denny, a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Known to his grandchildren as "Denden", he was a singer, songwriter and a devoted Christian who entertained many people over the years with his beautiful voice and wonderful sense of humor. Denny was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Denny made many friends and never knew a stranger. His loving spirit and kind words will live in our hearts forever.
He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Bernice Fairbairn of Jourdanton; daughter, Donna Evans of Jourdanton; daughter, Peggy Jeffers and husband Martin of Bandera; son, Kelly Fairbairn and wife Brenda of New Whiteland, IN; son, Bobby Jo Fairbairn and wife Janet of Lawrence, IN; son, Charles Fairbairn and wife Kris of Revanna; daughter Sherry Reems and husband Rick of Coopersville, MI; son, Dennis Fairbairn of Michigan; Grand-daughter Tamara Evans of Dallas; Grandson Brandon Evans and wife Lauren of Sabinal; Grand-daughter Teri Hawkins and husband Rocky of Ingram; Grandson Mike Butler and wife Dorothy of Marble Falls, and numerous other grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. Denny is proceeded in death by his mother, Jeanette Barvosa, his father Vance Fairbairn and sister, Gloria Carlson.
The viewing was Dec. 23 at Hurley Funeral Home in Pleasanton. Funeral Services are today at 9 a.m. at St. Matthew's Catholic Church, in Jourdanton, with Rusty Friedler officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National cemetery in San Antonio.
In lieu of flowers the family would like for danations be made to the Sabinal Volunteer Fire Department. Arrangements are under the direction on Hurley Funeral Home.
ROBERT HAYDEN
Robert Hayden, 64, of Pipe Creek, died Sunday, Dec. 21, at his residence. He was born July 23, 1939 in Owensboro, Kentucky to Charles and Virginia Medley Hayden. On Aug. 24, 1963 he married
Socorro Otillia Solis in Monterrey, Mexico. Robert retired from the San Antonio Police Department as a sergeant, was a writer, loved gardening and loved computers.
Survivors include his wife Socorro of Pipe Creek, sons, Junior Hayden of Hollywood, California, Charlie Michael Hayden and wife Patricia of San Antonio, and Sean Hayden and wife Dawn of San Antonio, brother, Dr. Bernard Leroy Hayden and wife Kathy of Paducah, Kentucky, and grandchildren, Jessica Rae Hayden and Charlie Michael Hayden, Jr. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Joyce Clemens. A memorial service was held on Saturday, Dec. 27 at Grimes Funeral Chapel, with Deacon Bobby Stein officiating.

BILLY JACK LOWERY
Billy Jack Lowery, age 64 of Kerrville, passed away Sunday, Dec. 14, at a local hospital. He was born June 9, 1939 in Marietta, GA to J.V. Lowery and Florene Estelle Pittman. On Dec. 30, 1960, he married
Letitia Sue Coonrod in Temple.
Billy was a small business operator and member of the Kerrville JayCee's, a 36 year member of the Kerrville Elks Lodge #2081, Sunrise Lions Club and was a Boy Scout Leader.
He is survived by his mother, Florene Harden of Kerrville; two daughters, Margaret Green of Ingram and Julie Darby of Austin; two sons, Phillip Lowery, Sr. of Kerrville and Daniel Lowery of Kerrville; two sisters; three brothers, Jim Lowery of Louisville, KY, Anthony Harden of Kerrville and Randal Harden of Mt. Airy, NC; five grandchildren, Phillip Lowery, Jr., Austin Lowery, Candace Lowery, Tish Miller and Gracie Green; and two great grandchildren, Logan Dinsmore and Phoenix Miller.
He was preceded in death by his father, J.V. Lowery; wife, Sue Lowery; and a brother, John Lowery.
Services were Thursday, Dec. 18 at Grimes Funeral Chapels officiated by Rev. Frankie Enloe and under the auspices of BPOE #2081, Kerrville Elks.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer, San Antonio Chapter.

MRS. RUTH DORA THALMANN RISINGER
Mrs. Ruth Dora Thalmann Risinger, 93, died Sunday, Dec.14, in a San Antonio care center. On March 13, 1910, in Bandera, she was born to pioneer citizens, Marcus Roy and Dora (Kininger) Thalmann. She graduated from Bandera High School and was an esteemed young lady in the community. In Bandera, on April 15, 1932, she married
Hubert John Risinger, the son of prominent pioneers, David Lee and Georgiana (Hay) Risinger. In the 1940s, El. J. Risinger was appointed post master at Bandera and Ruth accepted a position as a postal clerk in the Bandera Post Office. She retired in the late 1970s after more than 25 years of service. Mrs. Risinger was a member of the Bandera United Methodist Church and was active in community organizations including the P.T.A., Bandera County Historical Committee, Madrona Garden Club, Bandera Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star, Friends of the Library, and the Bandera cemetery Association.
She was preceded in death by her husband on April 11, 1979, by her parents, two sisters, and two brothers.
Survivors include sons: Dr. H. L. Risinger and wife, Rose Marie, of Kerrville; Dr. Donald L. Risinger and wife, Natalie, of Waco; and John Risinger and wife, Jean, of San Antonio; a brother, Charlie Thalmann and wife, Billie, of Carrizo Springs; 15 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and many friends.
Services were at Grimes Funeral Chapel on Dec. 17 with Rev. Everett Boyce officiating. Interment followed in Bandera cemetery with Dr. Brad Risinger, Stephen Risinger, Drew Risinger, C. D. "Tag" Knibbe, Rudolph "Sonny" Schott, and Rodney Van Oudekerke serving as pallbearers. Named as honorary pallbearers were Joe H. Short, Rolland "Sonny" Treadaway, Dr. Brian Risinger, Dr. David Risinger, Buddy Thalmann, and Roscoe Treadaway.

Louis R. Burnett
Louis R. Burnett, age 86, of Bandera, died Wednesday, December 3, in a Kerrville hospital. He was born May 11, 1917 in Grand Island, Nebraska. Mr. Burnett retired from the US Navy as Captain after serving 22 years, was in the construction business in Norman, Oklahoma, building houses, was pilot of the Constellation which was the largest airplane ever built at that time, and he was a very active member of Grace Lutheran Church. Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Tollie Burnett of Bandera, daughter, Sharon Sue Burnett, husband, William Hamar, of Jackson Hole Wyoming, 2 sons, Louis Rucker Burnett and wife Lynn of Little Rock, Arkansas, and John Robert Burnett & wife Marlene of Loveland, Colorado, brother, Frederick Burnett & wife Lois of Topeka, Kansas, and 7 grandchildren. A memorial services was held on Saturday, December 6, at 2 p.m., Grace Lutheran Church in Bandera with Pastor Ron Walter and George Schultz officiating. MILDRED STEVENS SILLER
Mildred Stevens Siller, 72, of San Antonio, died Friday, December 5, in a San Antonio Care Center. She was born March 18, 1931 in Camp Verde, to Roy Tyson Sevens, Sr., and Susie Mae Rippy Stevens. Ms. Siller worked as a Clerical Administrator for the Highway Department, grew up on the Stevens Ranch in Camp Verde, graduated from Center Point High School in 1948 as Salutatorian, was a member of Eisenhauer Baptist Church and she enjoyed playing the piano. Survivors include her mother, Susie Rippy Stevens of Camp Verde, daughter, Susan Marshal and husband Jim of Albuquerque, NM, sons, Robert Lange and wife Lori of Houston, Kelley Keith of San Marcos, Jon Keith and wife Bonita of Plano, and Chris Keith of Houston, Siblings, Charles and Dee Stevens of Center Point, Mamie and James Keith of Kerrville, Chester and Kathy Stevens of Kerrville, John Stevens of San Antonio, and Marianne and Carlos Leof of San Antonio, Grandchildren, Justin Lange of Houston, Zachary Lange Houston and Hailey Lange of Houston and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services were held on Monday, December 8, at Grimes Chapel, with Rev. Ken Coffee and Hospice Chaplain Oscar Olivares officiating. Interment followed in the Bandera cemetery. Memorial may be mode to the National Association to Protect Children, 46 Haywood St, Ste 315, Asheville, NC 28801.

GLADYS RAE ALBRECHT RICHARDSON
Gladys Rae Albrecht Richardson, age 75, of Bandera beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many passed away Dec. 22 in Kerrville. Gladys was born Nov. 2, 1928, in Victoria to the late Almond Henry and Thelma Polack Albrecht.
She is survived by her husband, Gilbert A. Richardson of Bandera daughters Karen L. Richardson of San Antonio; Zela J. Henderson and husband John of Broken Arrow, OK, Mary E. Smith and husband Greg Fuentes of San Antonio; Linda A. Richardson of San Antonio; sons Floyd A. Richardson and wife Virginia of Fountain Valley, CA, and Allen R.
