Lillie May Holliman
1932-2010
Lillie May Holliman, 78, of Lakehills, passed away on Sunday, July 11.
She was born on March 29, 1932, to Thomas David and Lillian Nancy Stephenson Collins in Roswell, New Mexico.
A longtime resident of the Lakehills community, Lillie lived there since 1962. She was loved by the many she had cared for throughout her lifetime and by those who cared for her later in life. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Lillie is survived by daughter Leona Lee Cooper of Houston; son George W. Cooper Jr. and his wife, Que, of Lampasas; and four grandchildren, Edward Ray Cooper, Scott Anthony Martin, Alan John Cooper, and Stacie Nalani Fletcher.
She was preceded in death by son, Lealen Lee Cooper.
Visitation will be from 8 am until 9 pm, Friday, July 16, at Grimes Funeral Chapels of Bandera.
A graveside service will be held at 11 am, Saturday, July 17, at Pipe Creek cemetery, officiated by Brother Pablo Hernandez.
Arrangements are entrusted to Grimes Funeral Chapels of Bandera.
Margaret Eleen Argo
1933-2010
Margaret Eleen Argo, 77, of Lakehills, passed away on Wednesday, July 7.
She was born on Jan. 11, 1933, in Chattanooga, Tennessee, to Charles Edward Jones and Minnie Bell Hill Jones.
A wonderful mother and grandmother, Margaret will be greatly missed.
Survivors include daughters, Michelle Argo of Lakehills, and Sheryl Rodriguez and her husband, Juan, also of Lakehills; son Johnny Sylvester Argo and his wife, Susan, of Michigan; and grandchildren, Ronny Hardy, Angel Argo, Peaches Hardy, Matthew Hardy, Margaret Rodriguez, Altoro Codey, Olivia Hardy, Lauren Ann Rodriguez, Tonya Reardon, Aiden John Rodriguez, Keyla Manso, Kesha Manso, Ame Manso, Pamela Short, John Argo, Shelly Argo and Candace Argo, as well as numerous great-grandchildren.
Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, John Sylvester, Argo and daughter, Theresa Ann Argo.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Boyd Henry Peters
1935-2010
Boyd Henry Peters, 74, passed away on Tuesday, May 4.
He was born in Comfort on May 9, 1935.
Boyd served in the United States Army and Army Reserves. In addition, he joined the United States Coast Guard Reserves and retired after 32 years of military service. While serving his country, Boyd he also worked at Kelly Air Force Base in San Antonio as a tool and die maker.
After moving to Pipe Creek, Boyd became an active member of the Pipe Creek Volunteer Fire Department. He was also a member of the Bandera County Appraisal Review Board.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Beverly Ann Peters; brother Robert D. Peters; sister-in-law, Pebble J. Peters; in-laws, Myron J. and Marie D. Weare of San Antonio; and sisters-in-law, Margie Weare and Bonny Altamira of Jourdanton, as well as nieces, nephews and countless friends.
A graveside service was held Friday, May 7, at the Fort Sam Houston National cemetery.

Howard J. “Jack” Cain
1931-2010
Howard J. “Jack” Cain passed away Thursday, May 6. He was born January 5, 1931 in Hector, New York.
After traveling all over the United States driving a truck, Jack landed in Tampa, Florida, in 1965, where he met the love of his life, Marie. The couple was married
on Nov. 20, 1965. Jack worked for Georgia Pacific for 20 years.
A devout Christian couple, Jack and Marie attended the First Baptist Church of Bandera. They belonged to the choir, Golden Harvesters, Kitchen Committee. The couple also served as groundskeepers for 10 years.
Jack leaves many friends in the community of Bandera. He was known for his big heart and was always cracking jokes. He made everyone feel like family.
Jack is survived by his wife of 44 years, Marie Cain, of Bandera; daughters, Candy of Bandera and Diana Haley of Bandera; son Bill Sullivan Jr. and his wife, Linda, of Florida; grandsons, Danny Johnson and his wife, Gilda, of Houston; John Baker Jr. of Lumberton; and Joe Baker and his wife, Tandra of Lumberton; great-granddaughters, Amanda, Meagan, Ashton, Emma, Keira and Kameryn; and great-grandsons, Trey, Kyle and Joey.
A memorial service will be held at 11 am, Saturday, May 22, at Grimes Funeral Chapels of Bandera, officiated by the Reverend Frank Pullin and the Reverend Bill Moseley.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jack’s name to the First Baptist Church of Bandera at PO Box 340, Bandera 78003.

Carmen Ramirez
1956-2010
Carmen Ramirez, 53, of Pipe Creek, passed away on Thursday, May 13, at a hospital in Houston.
She was born on Oct. 22, 1956, to Lucas Flores and Graciela Lopez Flores in Mission, Texas.
Carmen is survived by her husband, Raul Ramirez of Pipe Creek; mother Graciela Lopez Flores of Mission; daughters, Irma Cruz Martinez of Bandera, Gracie Cruz of Pipe Creek, Belinda Rodriguez of Pipe Creek, Crystal Cruz of Pipe Creek, Nancy Cruz of Bandera and Kassandra Ramirez of Pipe Creek; sons, Albert Cruz and Raul Ramirez, both of Pipe Creek; sisters, Anna Flores, Baby Flores, Mary Flores and Emelda Flores, all of Mission; brother Tony Flores of Mission; and grandchildren, Michelle, Lucas, Carmen, Jasmine, Daisy, Franky, Joe, April, Alex, Dakota, AJ, Zoey, Ivy, Nalyzza, Nick Jr. and Chris, all of Bandera County.
She was preceded in death by her father, Lucus Flores; daughter Carmen Michelle Canales; grandsons, Andrew Duarte Jr. and Isaiah Dawson Cruz; sister Rosa Flores; and brothers, Luis Flores and Arturo Flores.
A Rosary was held on Sunday, May 16, at Grimes Funeral Chapels of Bandera, officiated by Deacon Robert Stein. The funeral services took place on Monday, May 17, at Grimes Funeral Chapels of Bandera, with Deacon Robert Stein officiating. Interment followed at Pipe Creek cemetery.
Pallbearers were Jesse Rodrigues, Daniel Rodriguez, Robert Lobelo, Leon TiJerina, Ralph Lemus and Joseph Hernandez.

Jeannette Kramer McCoy
1919 – 2016
Jeannette Kramer McCoy, 97, passed away on Nov. 19, in Bandera. She was born July 9, 1919 in Manhattan, NY to Mr. and Mrs. John Kramer.
She attended school in New York City and she worked for Newsweek magazine during WWII.
Jeannette married
William A. “Bill” McCoy on July 12, 1954 in Chicago, IL, where they lived and raised a family. They retired to Bandera in 1981 to enjoy the Hill Country.
She was an avid reader; reading as much as she could and would read anything with words on the page. Jeannette also loved watching the news.
Jeannette was preceded in death by her husband, Bill, who passed away a few weeks before her (Oct. 1).
She is survived by her son, Gary Usher and wife Pauline of Naples, FL; grandchildren, Shannon and Shawn Usher; nephew, Elbert Reed. Jeannette will be loved and missed by many other family members and friends.
Jeanette and Bill will be buried together at Fort Sam Houston at a later date.
