Oneta Mills
Oneta Mills, 94, of Megargel, Texas, died Friday, April 14, 2000, in an Olney Hospital.
Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 16, at Restland Cemetery with Carter Pirtle, youth minister of the First Baptist Church of Olney, officiating. Burial was in the Restland Cemetery under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.
Mrs. Mills was born December 10, 1905, in Sherman, Texas, to the late Frank and Bertha Scott Hardy. She and Burrel Mills were married September 16, 1924, in Olney, Texas. He preceded her in death, December 4, 1970. Mrs. Mills moved to Baylor County at a very young age. She had been an active farmer and rancher for 75 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Patsy Anderson of San Antonio, Texas; one son, William B. Mills of Megargel, Texas; one granddaughter, Carma Nishimura of Fort Worth, Texas; one grandson, Doug Anderson of Salt Lake City, Utah; one great-granddaughter, Erin Nishimura of Fort Worth; and one sister, Louise Warren of Seymour, Texas.
Lambert Holub
Lambert Holub, age 74, of Seymour, Texas, passed away Wednesday, May 10, 2000, in Wichita Falls, Texas.
Wake services led by Deacon Jim Novak and Rosary led by Margaret Holub and Marcella Lane were held at 7 p.m. Friday, May 12, at the Seymour memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Mass was said at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 13, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Seymour with the Reverend Leo Schloemer, pastor of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Rhineland, officiating. Lector was Day Carlin, Cantor was Marilyn McGough and Altar Servers were Evan Psencik and Greg Knezek. Interment was in the SPJST Cemetery under the direction of Seymour Memorial Funeral Home.
Mr. Holub was born September 17, 1925, in Baylor County, Texas, to Louis and Elizabeth Kubena Holub. He and Junette Michalik were married September 21, 1957, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Seymour. Mr. Holub was a graduate of Seymour High School, a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a lifelong farmer and rancher.
He is survived by his wife, Junette, of the home; by one son and his wife, Jeffery and Stefanie Holub of Kamay, Texas; by two grandchildren, Cody Holub and Erica Holub; by a sister and her husband, Margaret and Joe Jungman of Weatherford, Texas; by two nephews, Victor Jungman of Weatherford, Texas, and Darrell Jungman of Ovilla, Texas; by four nieces, Debbie Pitts of Guam, Yvette Whatley and Karen Davenport of Glenrose, Texas, and Sharon Mitchell of Weatherford, Texas.
Pallbearers were Victor Jungman, Darrell Jungman, Randal Psencik, Eric Hostas, Lawrence Holub, Henry Liberda, Louis "Bud" Redder and Eddie Joe Orsak.
Mary Novak NeSmith
Mary Novak NeSmith, 88, of Fort Worth, Texas, died Sunday, June 4, 2000.
Funeral services were held at 12 noon on Tuesday, June 6, at St. Andrew Catholic Church followed by burial at Mount Olivet under the direction of Thompson's Harveson & Cole.
Mrs. NeSmith was born December 8, 1911, in Bomarton, Texas, and had been a resident of Fort Worth since 1930. She was a Charter member of St. Andrew Catholic Church and a lifelong member of SPJST and KJZT. She assisted her husband, H.E. NeSmith, in their business, NeSmith Office Furniture, for 25 years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, H.E. NeSmith.
Survivors include two daughters, Sr. Miriam NeSmith, S.S.M.N. and Judy Briscoe and her husband, Bob, of Fort Worth; a grandson, Gabe Briscoe and his wife, Priscilla, of Fort Worth; a great-granddaughter, Isabel Briscoe, of Fort Worth; a sister, Martha Novak of Seymour; and many nieces and nephews.

Joe Spinhirne
Joe Spinhirne, 89, died Friday, May 12, 2000, in Amarillo, Texas.
A rosary was recited at 7 p.m. on Sunday, May 14, in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Services were held at 10 a.m. Monday, May 15, in the church with the Reverend Pat Carathers, pastor, officiating. Burial was in Vega Cemetery by Vega Funeral Home.
Mr. Spinhirne was a lifelong resident of Vega. He was a farmer and a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Hons Spinhirne, in 1995.
Survivors include three sons, Raymond Spinhirne of Austin, James Spinhirne of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Charles Spinhirne of Vega; a brother, Glen Spinhirne of Vega; a sister, Rose Hons of Georgetown; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Frances Lola Seals
Frances Lola Seals, 72, died Saturday, July 8, 2000, in Amarillo, Texas.
Memorial services were held at 4 p.m. Monday, July 10, at Westview Christian Church with Reverend Charles Waugh, pastor, and Reverend Roy Barringer officiating. Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Brooks Funeral Directors of Canyon.
Mrs. Seals was born in Seymour, Texas, April 17, 1928, and was a graduate of Seymour High School. She married Foster Seals in Texas in 1946. He preceded her in death in 1994. The couple moved to Fairbanks, Alaska, where they lived for twenty years, raising four children. She was a homemaker and past president of the Agape Circle of Westview Christian Church where she had been a member for twenty years.
Survivors include two daughters, Debbie Spain and Tina Walker of Amarillo; two sons, Terry Seals of Waukegan, Illinois, and Russ Seals of Kennedale, Texas; two brothers, Foster Harvey of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Fred Harvey of Seymour; and six grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. at the First Christian Church in Seymour on Sunday, July 16, with Shannon Gresham, pastor, officiating.

Mary Juanita "Nita" Hatter
Mary Juanita "Nita" Hatter, age 71, of Seymour, Texas, passed away Saturday, July 15, 2000, at the Seymour Hospital.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 18, at the First United Methodist Church in Seymour with the Reverend Larry Crumpton, pastor, officiating. Interment was in the Henson Cemetery in Red Springs, Texas, under the direction of Seymour Memorial Funeral Home.
Mrs. hatter was born February 12, 1929, in Prescott, Arizona. She graduated from Electra High School and received her bachelor of business administration degree from North Texas State Teachers College, and later obtained her teacher certification. She taught for the Seymour Independent School District and retired in 1986. She married James Hershell Hatter on July 14, 1949, in Decatur, Texas. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, attended the Escalator Sunday School Class and was active in the United Methodist Women. She was a member of the Seymour Hospital Auxiliary, the Baylor County Retired School personnel and the American Diabetes Association.
She is survived by her husband, Hershell of Seymour; by three daughters, Carol McCord and her husband, Mark, of Seymour, Diane Sanderson and her husband, Brian, of Frisco, Texas, and Kathy Rozell and her husband, James, of Seymour; and by seven grandchildren, Kelli, Marci and Whitney McCord, Bradley and Kyle Sanderson and Blaine and Dillon Rozell.
Nita was preceded in death by her son, Robert Steven Hatter on July 7, 1986; by her parents, Brown Lea and Mary Strain Stevenson; and by one brother, Bill Stevenson.

Gladys Ama Lambeth
Gladys Ama Lambeth, 90, of Munday died Saturday, July 22, 2000, at Munday Nursing Center.
Graveside services were held at 4 p.m. Sunday, July 23, in Goree Cemetery with W.O. Smith officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of McCauley-Smith Funeral Home.
Mrs. Lambeth was born May 24, 1910, in Haskell County, Texas, to Oscar Henry and Anna Belle Hutchens. She worked as a nurse's aide for 30 years in many hospitals including Methodist Hospital in Lubbock, Munday, Knox City and Seymour Hospitals. She was a member of Goree First Baptist Church. She married Homer Lee Lambeth December 22, 1929, in Goree.
Survivors include her husband, Homer Lambeth; two sons, Billy L. Lambeth and wife, Mary, of Seymour, and Keith Lambeth and wife, Connie, of Fort Worth; a daughter, Geri Hardin and husband, Ron, of Wichita Falls; nine grandchildren, Diane Bevill of Austin, Anna Winn of Lubbock, Joe David Lambeth of Seymour, Jana Tennyson of Fort Worth, Janay Foley of Waco, Texas, Julie Carroll and Jenifer Awtry, both of Wichita Falls, Chris and Scott Lambeth, both of Fort Worth; 18 great-grandchildren, Marcus and Mason Bevill; Shelby and Haley Winn; Matt, Ben, Sam, Luke and Dan Tennyson; Will, Sarah and Ann Martin Foley; John Carroll; Brandon, Brady and Blaine Willeford; Jake Awtry and Randi Spence; and a great-great-grandson, Seff Alan Spence.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Bill Hutchens; a sister, Grace Hutchens; and a grandson, Jeff Hardin.

Cora Bell Copeland
Cora Bell Copeland, age 70, of Sherman, Texas, passed away Monday, July 31, 2000, in a Denison, Texas, hospital.
Graveside services were held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, August 3, at the Cache Creek Cemetery with Reverend Lee Hembree officiating. Services were under the direction of Seymour Memorial Funeral Home.
Mrs. Copeland was born August 22, 1929, in Benjamin, Texas, the daughter of the late John B. and Willie Mae Blackburn Moore. She married Johnnie Thomas Copeland on November 5, 1958, in Benjamin. He preceded her in death on March 9, 1994. She worked at the Red and White Laundry in Seymour. She had lived in Sherman for the past 28 years, where she was employed as a Nurses Aide at the Chapel of Care Nursing Home. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church.
She is survived by one daughter, Becky Ford of Denison; by two sons, Wayne McMorris of Seymour and Mike McMorris of Sherman; by two sisters, Doris Davis of Dierks, Arkansas, and Nell Moore of Midland, Texas; by three brothers, Lorenzo Moore and Ernest Moore, both of Seymour, and John Bill Moore of Dierks, Arkansas; by 9 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
