FARMER
Kathryn Aileen Farmer was born on January 26, 1943, in Baton Rouge, LA. She passed from this earth Sunday, July 7, 2002, in San Antonio.
Funeral services were held at Crofts Funeral home Tuesday July 9, 2002.
Farmer is survived by three daughters: Tracy Davidson of Blanco; Teresa Derks of Austin; and Tammy Jacks of San Antonio. She is also survived by two sisters, Barbara Cummins of Navasota and Debbie Rowden of Dayton; and three grandchildren: Michelle Edge, Kelli Emery and Charlie Jack.
Pallbearers were Jeff Davidson, Steve Foster, Marlin Edge, Waylans Cummins, Ralph Davis, Charles Jack and Charlie Jack.
She will be dearly missed by all.
WILLIE KNOLL
Willie Knoll, age 95, of Stonewall, Tx. passed away Monday, May 20, 2002 in Fredericksburg Tx. Mr Knoll was born October 15, 1906 in Albert Texas.
He is survived by his wife Nora Knoll of Stonewall Tx.; one brother, Hilmar Knoll of Boerne; two sisters, Erna Peise of San Angelo Tx., and Alma McDougal of Austin Tx.
Services were held at Crofts Funeral Home, on Thursday, May 23, 2002 at 10 a.m. Pastor John Auer officiated the services. Interment followed at Stonewall Community Cemetery. Pallbearers were: William Dieke, Rodney Echert, Jed Felps, Kenneth Jenschke, Jerry Reiser and Brent Schmidt.
Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, Stonewall Fire Dept., or Hill Country Memorial Hospital.
Betty Cox - Clark
Betty Marie Johnson Cox - Clark, age 58 of Lubbock Tx. passed away Monday May 13, 2002 in Lubbock . She was born October 13, 1943, in Maruel, Arkansas. She married Don Clark on February 23, 2001 in Roswell, New Mexico.
She graduated from Abernathy High School in 1962, and then attended Wayland Baptist University for one year.
She worked for Blanco Nursing Center, from 1986 - 1995, she moved to Lubbock in 1996. She began working for the McKenzie House at program director. She later began work for Barcelona Courts, as director of sales until retiring in 2001.
She was a member of HUB City Wheelers, Sunset Church of Christ and very active in the Buddy Holly Day’s.
She is survived by Don Clark,of Lubbock; son Ronny Cox of Lubbock; daughters Awyna Sanchez of Farwell, and Crystal Willis of Midland; step-daughter, Glenna Smith of Orlando Ca; step-son Donald Clark Jr of Lubbock; sisters, Lera Davee of Brady, Linda Olsen of Sunsites Az., Jenevia Fielding of Abernathy Tx., and Chele Brewer of Willcox Az.; Father Lesie Daniel Johnson of Abernathy, and step-mother Iris Johnson of Lubbock, and 13 grandchildren. Her mother preceded her in death.
Services were Thursday May 16, 2002 at Sunset Church of Christ with Dan Rouse and Truitt Adair officiating.
Burial will be at a later date, at Rest Haven Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society.
KNOWLTON
Roberta Knowlton, age 87, of San Antonio, died Tuesday, May 14, 2002. Mrs. Knowlton was a charter member of Jefferson United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Blue Birds at Methodist Hospital and P.E.O. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd M. Knowlton in 1984. Survivors; sons and daughters-in-law, James L. Knowlton and wife Carol, Lubbock, Tx., David E. Knowlton and wife, Jane, San Antonio, Tx., and Jon Knowlton and wife, Ann, Cuero, Tx., daughters and sons-in-law, Kathie Griffith and husband Tony, Blanco, Tx., Karen Lee and husband Don Lee, Bandera, Tx., 14 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service was held Thursday, May 16, 2002 at Jefferson United Methodist Church with a reception to follow. The Rev. Bert Clayton and Rev. Dr. Roberto Escamilla officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Jefferson United Methodist Church or Vitas Hospice, 4715 Fredericksburg Rd., San Antonio, Tx. 78229.

DEPEW
Larry Allen Depew passed away at his home in Blanco County on May 13, 2002 at the age of 53. Larry was born on April 25, 1949 in Pampa, Texas.
He was a long time resident of Blanco County. He graduated from Blanco High School and attended the University of Texas.
Larry enjoyed writing and spending time outdoors.
Larry was preceded in death by his father, Archie Depew.
He is survived by his wife, Connie Depew of Blanco; two children, Jarrod Depew of College Station and Amanda Depew of Fredericksburg; his mother, Omce Depew and two brothers, William and Thomas (Mark), all of Blanco.
An informal memorial service will be held at Crofts Funeral Home in Blanco, on Friday, May 17 at 4p.m.
McCAN
Richard Milton McCan, age 70, passed Thursday, May 2, 2002 at Fredericksburg. Richard was born March 26, 1932 at Oakville, Texas.
Mr. McCan is survived by his son Richard A. McCan of Paige, Tx., two daughters; Shirley Padrone and Phyllis Deen Thayer both of Johnson City, Tx., one brother; Joel McCam of Three Rivers, Tx., 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Graveside services were held Saturday May 4, 2002 at the Johnson City Masonic Cemetery with Elder Belton Sweet officiating.
Mr. McCan’s grandchildren were pallbearers.
CORNELIUS
Alma Foster Cornelius passed away May 3, 2002 at the age of 91.
A memorial service was held Sunday, May 5 2002 at the LBJ Medical Center in Johnson City.
Alma is survived by two sons: Charles and wife Marianne Foster of Omaha, NB. and Robert Foster of Johnson City, four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Ruth Garnet Mathews
Ruth Garnet Mathews age 89, of Johnson City, passed away on Tuesday, April 16, 2002 in Fredericksburg.
Mrs. Mathews was born December 4, 1912 in Cattlesbury, Ky.
She is survived by one son, Steve Mathews, of Johnson City, and one daughter, Stephany Hardie, of Chico, Ca. She had 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Services were held at First Baptist Church on April 22, 2002 with the Rev. Ray Biggerstaff officiating. Burial followed at Masonic Cemetery in Johnson City. Pallbearers were Sterling Bingham, Terry Carter, Andy Eubanks, Melvin Eubanks, Bill Jung, Kermit Roeder, Bill Watson, and Rusty Weirich.
