BEATRICE CATHRINE PABST
Beatrice Cathrin Pabst was laid to rest at the Mosonic Cemetery in Johnson City Thursday, Oct. 2, 2003.
Servies were held at Crofts Funeral Home with Bro. Greg Steele as the officating clergy.
Beatrice was born to Robert Nelson Adams and Helen Benjamin Sept. 23, 1913, in North Adams, MA. She went to be with her Lord at the age of 70.
She is survived by three sisters, Helen Marie Anisworth of Monroe LA, Joyce Prader of Tampa, and Ella Mae Tucker of Monroe, LA. She is also survived by one brother, Nathan Adams of Lake Charles, LA.
ROY “BUCK” D. GOURLEY
Roy “Buck” D. Gourley, 69, of Briggs passed away Saturday, Oct. 4, 2003, in Temple.
Buck was born in Johnson City. He was a retired rancher and a member of the Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Charlie Dell Gourley; daughter and son-in-law, Debra Y. and Mark Wiley of Liberty Hill; son Monti R. and his wife Lisa Gourley of Austin; son Raney Lynn Gourley of Briggs; granddaughter Wendy Lynn Wiley of San Antonio; sisters Helen R. Collins of Buchanan Dam Village and Bobby and Bill Kennedy of Pasadena.
He is also survived by six nephews and four nieces. Graveside services and interment were held Monday, Oct. 1, 2003, in the Bear Creek Cemetery, north of Bertram, with Rev. Max Copeland officiating.
EVELYN MORGAN
Evelyn Morgan of Montevideo, Minnesota, formerly of Duluth, passed away Sunday, April 13, 2003.
A memorial service was held on Friday, April 18, at the Wing-Bain Funeral Home Chapel in Montevideo.
Arrangements were with the Wing-Bain Funeral Home of Montevideo, 418 North Fifth St. – Montevideo, MN (320) 269-8425.
Evelyn P. Morgan was born May 17, 1934, the daughter of Adolf & Irene (McDermott) Port, in Swan River, Minnesota. She was baptized on Jan. 6, 1936, in Swan River and confirmed in 1996.
She graduated from the Cloquet High School in 1952 and enlisted in the United States Navy in 1953. While in the Navy she attended Navy Hospital Corps School from July of 1953 to December of 1953. After her schooling, she was a Hospital Corpsman at Bethesda, Maryland. She was honorably discharged in 1954.
Evelyn was united in marriage with Archie Lee Morgan July 15, 1954, in Sabine, West Virginia. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, gardening and sewing.
Evelyn passed away after of long courageous battle with cancer Sunday, April 13, 2003, in Montevideo, Minnesota, at the age of 68.
She is survived by her children: Steve (and Kris) Morgan of Beaumont, Texas; Terri (and Kevin) Griess of Montevideo, Minnesota; Becky (and Bill) Miller of Orlando, Florida and Debbie Bishop of Kissimmee, Florida; her grandchildren: Kimmi and Nicole Morgan of Beaumont, Texas; Ashley and Shane Griess of Montevideo, Minnesota, Danelle Griess of Park Rapids, Minnesota, Reid Griess of Montevideo, Minnesota, Nicole Griess of Park Rapids, Minnesota; Bill Miller of Daytona, Florida, Mike (and LeeAnn) Miller of Orlando, Florida, Natalie Miller of Tallahassee, Florida, and Angela Bishop of Florida; great grandchildren: Cameron Miller of New Smyrna Beach, Florida and Avery Miller of Orlando, Florida; sister Irene Pochucha of Goodland, Minnesota; brothers: John Port of Superior, Wisconsin; Howard (and Phyllis) Port of Cloquet, Minnesota, Robert (and Jean) Port of Cloquet, Minnesota & Chester (and Karen) Port of Lakewood, California; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Archie Morgan, and brothers Adolf and Erine.
She and her husband owned a ranch for several years in the Blanco area.
CLINTON C. BEIERLE
Clinton C. Beierle, 69, born July 15, 1934, in Spring Branch went to be with the Lord Sept. 10, 2003. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who will be missed dearly by all who knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Irene of 49 years; two loving daughters, Robin and husband Tibby Armke of Spring Branch; and Reva and husband Freddy Laumer of Spring Branch; five grandchildren, Seth, Garrett, and Hailey Armke, and Brandon and Dalton Laumer; and also his sister, Carmen Rittimann of Spring Branch; and numerous brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nephews, nieces, and cousins. Viewing was held Friday, Sept. 12, at Crofts Funeral Home in Blanco. Church services were held Saturday, Sept. 13, at 10 a.m at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bulverde. Interment followed at the Beirle Family Cemetery in Spring Branch.
JOHN CALANDRINO
John Calandrino, 46, passed away Sept. 7, 2003 at his home in Spring Branch.
He was born April 2, 1957 in Brooklyn, NY.
He is survived by his mother, Edna Calandrino of West Palm Beach, FL; son, John Anthony Calandrino of Austin; daughter, Annette Calandrino of Rochester, NY; three sisters, Annie Giocastro of West Palm Beach, FL, Elizabeth Alicia Gard of Ossining, NY, Faye Jenkens of Van Cleve, Miss.; and one grandchild, Christopher Calandrino.
John is also survived by the Dunn Family, who loved him as their own.
Services will be held at Crofts Funeral Home, Blanco, at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 13, 2003, with burial following in the Blanco Cemetery.
ANITA DELINO LANE
Anita Delino Lane was born in Abbeville, Louisiana, Sept. 17, 1947. On Friday, Sept. 5, 2003, at the age of 55 Anita passed away in Lubbock.
Anita is survived by brothers Jody Delino of Round Rock, and Charles Delino of Magnolia; sisters Carolyn Kushner of Katy and Clare Hudson of Nederland; step-sisters Monica Quevedo of Port Arthur, Monica Sue and Dimple; step-daughter Tammy Marie Lane of Orange; daughter Joy Cole of Beaumont; husband Russell G. Lane of Blanco; sons Chris Allen Dupree of San Antonio and Matthew Shane Gotto of Stockdale; step-son Russell Gene Lane II of Blanco and nine grandchildren.
Memorial services were held Saturday, Sept. 13, at 2 p.m. at Lee Swire’s residence located at 371 Valley Vista in the Kothmann North addition.
SAMUEL ROYCE BROOKS
Samuel Royce Brooks passed away Saturday, Sept. 6, 2003, at the age of 88. Samuel was born in Warren, AR, April 28, 1915.
Graveside services were held Monday, Sept. 8, 2003, at the Masonic Cemetery in Johnson City. Rev. Harry Carpenter was the officiating clergy.
Samuel was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He is survived by nephew James Thomas Henry of Plano and special friends Lorene Woodall and Rodney Hartmann both of Johnson City.
Samuel will be missed by his friends and family.
