LEWIS
Misty Kay Lewis, age 19, of Marble Falls died March 23, 2002. Funeral services were held on March 26, at the First Baptist Church with Bro. Max Copleand officiating. Interment followed at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park under the direction of Clements-Wilcox of Marble Falls.
Born May 27, 1982 in Austin, Texas, Misty was the daughter of Mark & Sandy (White) Lewis. She was a 2000 graduate of Johnson City High School where she was a member of the drill team. She also played High School volleyball.
Misty is survived by her parents; Mark & Sandy Lewis of Marble Falls, brother; Dustin Lewis of California, sister; Shanna Braun of Johnson City, grandmother; Pat Miers of Blanco, fiance; Jeremy Garrett of San Antonio.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Lewis Marion White Jr., Dorothy Dix Lewis, and Henry E. Lewis, Sr.
Pallbearers were Jimmy Fox, Cody Lewis, Jeremy Nelson, Lucas Henderson, Joseph Hight, and Barton Heany.
ISBELL
Louise Kathleen Isbell, age 85, passed away Saturday, March 16, 2002. Mrs. Isbell was born January 6, 1917 in Wimberley.
She was a member of Hermann Sons, American Legion Auxiliary, and the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary.
She is preceded in death by her husband; Garnett Isbell and brother; Phillip Kosub.
Mrs. Isbell is survived by two daughters; Christine Huguelet of Blanco, Manie Mann of Spring Branch, and one sister Winifred Karm of Castroville.
Services were held Monday, March 18, 2002 at Crofts Funeral Home in Blanco with Ft. John Finn officiating. Interment followed at the Blanco Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Kenneth Hendrick, Bruce Huguelet, Danny Leonard, Mathew Mann, and Michael Mann. Honorary pallbearers were Jay Authur, Jimmy Gonzales, Olan Karn and Tim Taylor.
STREETER
Mary Jean Larson Streeter, age 75, of San Antonio, passed away on March 18, 2002 after a long and valiant battle against cancer. She was born on March 21, 1926 in Norphlet, Arkansas, to Eva Louella Elliott Larson and Hugh Matthew Larson. Mrs. Streeter graduated valedictorian form Norphlet High School in 1944 and graduated with honors from Arkansas State Teachers College in 1947 with a B.S. in Education. She married Thomas Harvey Streeter on May 25, 1947. They later lived in Texarkana and settled in San Antonio, Tx. in 1961. After Mr. Streeter’s retirement from State Farm Insurance in 1984, they moved to their country home in Blanco.
A teacher by education, but a housewife and mother by choice, Mrs. Streeter delighted in her home and raising her four children.
She was totally devoted to her husband of almost 55 years, her children and then later, her grandchildren.
She was also dedicated to her work with the First Baptist Church of San Antonio, teaching Sunday school classes to the Kindergarten age children over 37 years. A generous and compassionate person, Mrs. Streeter always put the needs of her family above her own. Her capacity for love was boundless and unconditional. She and her supporting spirit will be sorely missed by her family, friends and neighbors. Mrs. Streeter is survived by her husband, Tom of Blanco; daughter, Tommie Streeter Zwernemann of Canyon Lake; son, Terry Streeter and wife Donna of Austin; son Kent Streeter and wife Becky of Bogalusa, Louisiana; and daughter, Tracy Streeter Carrola and husband Tony of San Antonio. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren, Max Zwernemann (USCG), Alex Zwernemann, (Arizona State University), Michael and Grant Streeter of Boerne, and Blair Evans of Bogalusa, Louisiana. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m at Porter Loring. Memorial Service will be Friday at 2 p.m. Wilson Chapel of the First Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society or the Television Ministry of the First Baptist, San Antonio.
SMITH
Graveside services were held Wednesday, March 20 at the Blanco Cemetery for Alice Elizabeth Smith, age 85, of San Antonio.
Ms. Smith was born March 23, 1916 and passed away March 18, 2002.
Janet Anne Baillie Hearne
July 29, 1929 - March 10, 2002
Jan Hearne was born in Madison, Wisconsin, the third child of Joseph Baillie and Catherine Mackin.
She graduated from the University of Kentucky with a degree in Nursing.
With her nursing skills she helped create Caritas Clinic, now known as Volunteer Health Clinic, under the guidance of Dr. John McCabe. She helped create Volunteer-for-Vision, which is now a state mandated Vision program in the Texas school districts.
Jan was one of the first Meals-on-Wheels volunteers, and was on the Boards of Marywood, Christ Child Society, and Seton. She was a CCD teacher, a dedicated Den leader, and most of all, an enthusiastic fan to her husband, family and friends.
Jan will be remembered for her high integrity, extraordinary humor and her zest for life. Her compassion for all people, her nurturing of friends, and her love of family is the cornerstone of her being.
She adored the sea, and taught all her children and grandchildren a love for the sea and all its creatures.
Of all her accomplishments, her greatest were her family and her friends.
Her marriage of almost 49 years to her loving husband, Douglass Hearne, whose love and never ending support kept her alive many years longer than even she could imagine.
Her children are Dr. Chris Hearne, his wife Sara and their children Justin and Adrienne; Kathleen Hearne Wight, her husband David and their children Charles, Jennifer and Christopher; Mary Hearne Umstattd, her husband Jimmy and their children Christian, Janey and Erik; and Doug Hearne, Jr., his wife Stephanie and their children Baillie and Dodson.
She is also survived by her fabulous circle of friends. So many loved Jan dearly, and in return they received unconditional love.
The family will be forever grateful to Dr. Harold Cain for his loving bedside manner, and Marie Thomas for her love and support.
Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at 6:30 PM, Tuesday, March 12th at St. Theresa's Catholic Church, and Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Wednesday, March 13th at St. Theresa's Catholic Church, with Father Gregory Romanski as celebrant.
Private burial services will follow.

SULTEMEIER
Louise Waugh Smith Sultemeier, age 79, of Johnson City passed away March 8, 2002. Mrs. Sultemeier was born January 11, 1923 at Willow City.
Mrs. Sultemeier is preceded in death by her parents Charles and Nancy Waugh, 3 sisters Ada Marie Waugh, Margarete Smith, eatrice Feuge, 2 brothers; J.D. Waugh and L.B. Waugh, 3 sons; Earl Smith Jr., Donald Ray Smith, Wilburn Lee Mixx and one daughter; Linda Lee Smith.
Louise is survived by two sons; John Smith of Clute, Tx., Jimmie Smith of Johnson City, three daughters; Elizabeth Bible of Johnson City, Earlene Leighton of Alvin, Jessie Farmer of Austin, 22 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
Services were held Monday, March 11, 2002 at Crofts Funeral Home in Johnson City with Rev. Ray Biggerstaff officiating. Interment followed in the Masonic Cemetery in Johnson City.
SEYMOUR
Hasting Robert Seymour was born August 10, 1917 in Hye, Texas. He was the first born son of Montague Robert Seymour and Elsie Heckel Petri Seymour. He had two brother, Victor Seymour of Blanco and Wesley Seymour (deceased) of LaVernia and three half-brothers; Ernest, Bill, and Max Petri all deceased. He passed from this life on February 28, 2002 at the age of 84 years.
Hasting fell in love with Ida Sultemeier, daughter of Willie and Meta Sultemeier, and married her on November 2, 1940. They were blessed with the birth of James Lamar on January 31, 1943 and David Glenn on October 2, 1946. The years brought more blessings in James’ marriage to Anne Ochoa and birth of their son, Jimmy Lee, and later in the marriage of David to Cheryl Spencer and the births of Blake and Robert. Their lives were enriched further by the marriages of Jimmy Lee to Melissa and Robert to Tara. Hasting looked forward to the birth of his great grandchild, expected in April by Robert and Tara.
Hasting enlisted in the Army in 1939 and spent 2 years in California with Ida and son James. He was shipped to the South Pacific where he worked in Ordnance with a Company of 268 enlisted men, 16 non-commissioned officers and 7 commissioned officers.
As Master Sergeant, he was in charge of as many as 150 men who serviced any and all types of vehicles that came their way earning many medals and commendations for their outstanding support of American troops during World War II.
In 1968, Hasting and Ida opened a garage in San Antonio. Hasting and Ida were a team, he ran the repair shop and she handled the customers and bookkeeping. Hard work and team work built their business from one mechanic to 16 mechanics. From there they branched out with a horse stable and other businesses such as helping David establish a automotive repair business in Blanco by providing a building and equipment to rent and bookkeeping assistance from Ida.
Recently, Hasting wrote that he and Ida loved each other and worked closely together for over 62 years. He said that he had good sons, daughter-in-laws, grandsons, and grand daughter-in-laws who gave them pleasure, love and tender loving care.
He did not want to forget Mark, who is like an adopted son, who helped him with his business endeavors and gave him love and support too.
He wrote that God had looked over him and all of his family and on the last line he wrote “Thank you God”.
Services were held Saturday, March 2, 2002 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Blanco. Interment followed at the Blanco Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Jimmy Lee Seymour, Robert Seymour, Blake Seymour, O.W. Schneider, Ronnie Schneider, and David Schneider.
